Itzel stretched her feathered arms outwards slightly, looking at the beach around her. She had been wandering around for a day or so, and was growing hungry. She gazed at the water, claws barely being splashed by the light waves. She could just make out a group of fish swimming off shore. Without a second thought she turned away, walking up the beach. Shaking her head she headed down the beach, hoping to find a washed up prey of some sort.

Aterrimus had been wandering along the rough, rocky dunes that led straight to the beach, and as he crested one, he spotted a very brightly colored, obviously female baro. Of course it was another Baro, it was their lands here, these dry, half-decrepit lands. But they loved it anyway, though some wouldn't admit. He noticed that she appeared to be seeking food, and turned around, stalking after her lankily along the crest of the dune, watching her every move very carefully, as his powerful, muscular legs pulled him along.

The large male was matching her pace, though he was a fair few steps behind her, and with the color of his feathers, he was at least fairly camouflaged against the desert background that their lands provided him.

Itzel continued along the beach, a soft noise catching her attention. She glanced backwards, and noticed nothing unusual of the dunes behind her. Continuing on again she searched the ground for some sort of wandering prey in their lands. She swooshed her tail along behind her as she began heading slightly towards the water again.

Slowing inching her way towards the water, Itzel stopped a ways from the waters edge. She had never found of what that noise was, and had heard it again. Thinking, she knew there was nothing behind her. Just the dark rocky dunes behind her, and that little splash of yellow shining in the sun. "Wait..." She through back to the splash of yellow that had caught her eye. "I hadn't seen any yellow rocks."

The large male raptor had noticed the female give an uncaring glance back, and thought for a moment she may have noticed him; then breathed a short sigh of relief as she turned back and continued on. He was only following her in case she found something that looked good to eat. If there ever was a creature born to scavange, it was the microraptors that inhabited these lands. He narrowed his eyes against the bright gleam of the sun's reflection off the waves, and then began to pick his way down the rocks, thinking as she'd moved again closer to the water that she may have found something.

And being the stature that he was, Aterrimus was sure of his ability to scare off other creatures, especially a female of his own race. Though, they were definitely known to be tougher than those that one could come across in the neutral territories. He stopped again and croushed slightly, his powerful leg muscles bunching against each other and bulging, rather impressively. He watched her, tail held straight out to aid him in keeping balance, perched upon the rocks the way he was.

Itzel still continued down along the beach, but had stopped for a moment. She had a suspicion that there might be another microraptor following her. Calm as she always was, she continued on again. Her long tail swaying from side to side slightly. Her gaze wandered the ground before her, still hoping to spot some prey. While her gaze wandered her mind did too. Not to thinking about spotting prey, but to who would want to follow her. Her eye wandered back to the waters edge. 'The water...' She thought with a grin to herself.

Itzel wandered down the beach again, getting closer to the water than she had ever before. She wasn't one to get her feather wet often, but out of curiosity she didn't mind. She gazed farther down the water line, as if something had caught her eye. Her pace quickened as she headed for the nonexistent prey. Hoping that her follower would think she was on to something, she could lure them out.

Aterrimus snorted slightly, as he'd been watching her every move very carefully, though she had only been wandering slowly, until she quite briskly picked up the pace. He wasn't sure if he should have leapt from his hiding place or not, but instead, he crept slowly down the rocks, inching his way toward the female. He noticed that she was running toward something, but he also figured she may just be trying to fool him; or just a fool herself. He snorted again, but then curiosity got the best of him, and he leapt from his sitting place, tearing down the beach after the female.

He had no idea that his first guess would have been the one to stick with, and as he rushed up behind her, intent upon stealing whatever it may have been that she'd found, he tried to stick close to the shadows, though there weren't many, as it was a barren land to begin with, and the sun beat down hot upon them day after day.
