So, as many of you may know, I am a sort of evil-twin to miss Angel.
I am her darker half I guess, and so, of course, I love darker books.
My favorite author is, of course, Kurt Vonnegut.
I love his style of writing, he is saying, "the world sucks and you need to see that".
He warns us of what can happen when we ignore what is happening.
I have read most of his book and am in the process of re-reading them.
As I do this, I will add to this thread.
This will be the only sticky in this forum because this will be my only sticky ever.
I hope you read at least one of his books before you die.

Kurt Praise:
I like Kurt Vonnegut because he is the ultimate liberal.
He is an environmentalist who is somewhat against technology in a way that is amazing since he writes about technology.
He died and I cried.

This is a great book that is much like a rant. I love how what he has to say here is very short and to the point. He does not have to give you a twenty page ramble about how he feels about politics because he is direct about it. In all, it is no longer than 146 pages. An easy read in a night if you are pressed for time and need to write a book report. One of my favorite quotes from this book is on page 17, "I think that novels that leave out technology misrepresent life as badly as Victorians misrepresented life by leaving out sex." The best line from the book that was so to the point that my heart actually skipped a beat and I was scared was on page 44 to 45, "Don't spoil the party, but here's the truth: We have squandered our planet's resources, including air and water, as though there were no tomorrow, so now there isn't going to be one."
