(( Here we find three microraptors who have just met, continued from the shop RP. ))  Deror sat in the shallow end of the waterhole, enjoying the coolness. He was trying to splash everybody, and was probably succeeding, though he didn't care to look to see if one wave hit before sending out another. Aurik and Chester seemed like fun! And he said their names repeatedly, so he wouldn't forget. "Aaaaauuurrriiiik! Cheeesssterrrr! Aauuurrrriiik! Chessssster!" The young proto male swam a short ways, but, as he wasn't apt at swimming, he never left the area where he clould still touch the bottom with his head high above the water.
"Aurik, you were right about this place being nice!" Deror announced. "But I dunno about it being 'peaceful'! That's boring!" Deror's tail flashed in the water, sending a mini-tsunami at Chester. By this time, only a brave microraptor would dare take a drink, for fear of being splashed, plus the water was turned a murky brown from the disturbed dirt. "Wakku!" Deror shouted, clearly enjoying himself.

Aurik cut through the water, using his tail as a paddle, evading the waves of splashes as adeptly as was possible.
"I'm pleased that I was right," he said fairly quickly, trying to avoid getting caught by a wave with his mouth open, "but is this really necessary? You're getting mud in your feathers, little on... Deror." He corrected himself quickly, remembering the water-Lepto's comment about 'little one' being a phrase used for children. Although it was quite difficult not to consider these smaller creatures younglings, he decided he would make the effort. He didn't want to offend them, after all.

Finnegan stood up on his toes and sniffed the air. "Water's this way"He declared to himself. He flapped his wings and took flight making his way across the plains towards the water hole that came into view.
"Well! there's quite a crowd here!" he examined as he flew over head. He circled a bit lower. Finn was debated on going upstream after viewing the color of the water.
"Hello down there! It be a fine day for a bath!" Finn glided down to the opposite side of the hole the other raptors were on in hopes of finding some settled water.

"Fine day, indeed!" Aurik said, turning his face skyward. This action almost cost him his last patch of dry feathers, a particularly large wave catching him across the side. He could feel the dirt slowly working its way into his plumage. "Or rather," he chuckled, "it would be a fine day for a bath, if there were any untroubled water. But alas, I can see none from my vantage point, and for myself it would take years to get to your easily attained height. So tell me, is there any spot where I can reverse the damage I've just done to my feathers?"

Spiky crest high and wings tucked securely against her sides, a black, white, and red blur sprinted towards the watering hole, every so often spreading her wings and sending herself into the air to glide from one side of the river she was following to the other, repeating the process after a few moments on that side.
Eche's bright gray eyes and sharp ears caught the sound of other raptors and the medium-sized female slowed her break-neck pace to a slow run as she neared the still-water. Three of them there were, two like herself and the third about a head taller than the other two. All three were males and looked to be happy types, not mean ones. Especially since the bright green one was splashing about like a hatchling.
The bird-like Eche stopped at the mouth of the river and rose one arm in the air, waving a bit.
"Hey there! Can I join y'all?" she called in a rather loud, low-ish soprano voice.

Deror, completely oblivious to how childish he was acting, stopped splashing for long enough to see the newcomers. "Hiii!" he called, waving a wet tail in the air. "Wakku! Come swim!" he told them. From his pause, the water settled enough to see the bottom again. Distracted already, Deror watched in amazement as a tiny-- and quite confused from being tossed around-- fish. "Wakku!" Deror said, before promptly diving to grab the fish. The poor dazed thing didn't stand a chance. A silver tail whipped out of sight, right down Deror's beak.
Deror considered the taste for a while, and decided that it was all right. Not as good as lizards, but the water-things were pretty good. He promptly stuck his head under water and ran about, chasing the numerous fish, all darting away for their lives. "Wakku..." Deror said, after coming up for air. "They're fast..."

"Nice to meet you fine sir!" Finn dipped his head towards the Baro. "May I ask your name?" "I'm Finnegan by the way...Finn for short!" Finn stretched his long wings and bent down for a drink. "and to answer you question I do believe there is clear water over thissss waaaay..." Finn trailed off as the most gorgeous female showed herself. Finn stared in aw not realizing that the ground under his feet was slowly crumbling into the water.
((muhahah I'm evil to the poor "white" feathered guy XD))

Eche cheerily waved at the green proto and had every intent to launch herself into the water, if the white male hadn't attracted her attention by the way he was staring at her. Her crest, very similar in spikiness to his, rose a bit in curiosity and she wondered if he knew he was going to fall into the water any second. She curled her claws in a cupped motion around her beak and grinned.
"Yer 'bout to fall in the water!" she called to him, laughing a bit and pointing a claw at the crumbling bank side.
((Teeheehee, Finn's really cute. Actually, it was Finn that made me interested in this shop. I saw him and was like, "OMG, Drome breedable! Where'd she get him??"))

Finns heart skipped a beat "She's talking to me??!!" he thought. "Wait.... what did you say?!!" It didn't click in to him before it was too late. Finn flailed and splashed into the water. The water logged proto panicked and clawed at the bank with his wings. "I can't swimmmm!!" His beautiful white feathers were now caked with mud. Finn was so embarrassed now he wanted to sink into the water...
((Got him on a dice game..was so stoked when I won ^__^ Love his dromeyness hehe))

Couldn't... swim?
Eche watched for a brief moment as the male floundered in the water. Her gray eyes widened and she launched herself into the air, calling, "Stop flailin'! I'm comin'!" She flapped over to the male and attempted to grab his arm with her talons, careful not to hurt him in the process. Really, the water wasn't all that deep, but maybe if she made a big fuss over him, at least some of his pride would stay intact.

Finn was in his glee sort of. The lovely female came to his rescue yet he was embarrassed he couldn't help himself.
"hey thank you kindly...." Finn said quietly blushing as he looked at her. "I never learned how to swim......bad memories." Finn looked at his feet.
He was happy to have his feet securely on dry land.
"Yeaaah that was kinda not cool of me...haha!" Finn started to hold out his wing in thx but withdrew at the sight of his muddy wings.
"Hmmm.." He looked back at the stirred up water with a disgruntled look on his face.
"Well,there goes the clean water!" he sighed and looked back up at her for a second then looked around at the rest of the raptors.
"I'm Finn by the way" He smiled. Mud dripped off him with a splat.

"Fish taste too good for me ta have not learned how ta swim," Eche replied with a bit of a laugh when she finally fluttered down to the ground. She took one good look at his once-white-now-brown feathers and giggled. He looked... a little less perfect, she guessed. Too much pristine white on a creature meant it kept its fur or feathers nice and clean and, well, that was just silly in her opinion.
"My name's Eche," she added, giggling as she used a few feathers on her wrist to wipe some mud off his nose.

Finn touched his nose after she flicked the mud off.
"What a lovely name! it's been a pleasure meeting you" He dipped his head.
"Yes I'm in quite a mess aren't I? haha" She had such a cute laugh. Finn blushed a bit.
"I never had fish before...I tend to stick to lizards...eggs, berries and insects" he grinned.
"The water scares me actually...I seen this really heart stopping creature jump out of the ocean one time while flying over to the further lands." His face screwed up as the images flicked back.
"That poor bird floating on the surface never stood a chance once it was in that creatures jaws." Finn shuttered.
((someone should tell Finn that the water isn't deep blaugh he was flailing too much to 'stand up' hehe))

Aurik paused, watching the display with a sort of dull curiosity. From the water's previous shade of blue, it hadn't been very deep, and he wasn't at all worried about the poor proto's life.
Previous shade of blue, because the water was not an unappealing shade of greenish brown.
"Well, there goes the last possibility of getting clean," he mumbled to himself, making his way back to dry land. Maybe, when the mud dried, he'd be able to pry it off with his beak... He shivered at the painful possibility.
(Shoot. I was totally gonna write more than this, but I have to go =__=; *flies off*)

Deror finally got bored of chasing fish, having only caught three of the many, and followed Aurik to shore. Deror looked down at his soggy feathers and noticed the mud. "Eww!" he laughed. Deror started to preen his wet feathers, eating the mud in the process.
"Eww! Yuck!" Deror declared, thoroughly enjoying himself. He continued to clean himself. At last, he was finsihed. On an impulse, Deror hopped over to Aurik and started to eat his mud, too. "Aww, your mud tastes better than mine did!" Deror complained, still licking the bad-tasting brown slush off of Aurik's soon-to-be clean feathers.
