True. And yes you did mention that.
Personally, my favorite anime is Spiral but my favorite character is, of course, Envy from FMA. I like mystery, sci-fi/fantasy, shoujo, and shounen-ai anime.

Favorite anime, by far is One Piece, the Japanese version... not 4kids. With the backgrounds on all the characters and intricately laced plots and 'arcs', and humor, it's some of the best stuff I have ever watched. Another of my favorite series that's a bit old is Yu Yu Hakusho. Back in the early 1990s, but still, the anime is very good.
The manga is a bit tougher to boil down to... I'd say One Piece (yet again), anything by Yuu Watase, Haruta Nata, Hana Kimi, and MeruPuri. And to not forget Fruits Basket and Full Metal Alchemist.
o.o I don't even know on the characters, really. But if I'd have to choose, it'd have to be Nico Robin (from One Piece) and definitally Franky (same anime too).
Genre.. I don't think I have one, but anything that has humor laced within the story and characters is a great thing for me.... I have a weakness for Shoujo, too. -.-

Hmm..My favorite anime I think I would have to say Death Note. I really liked how they kept to the manga. The art in itself really made it for me also. Its funny, it took me a long time to even get to watch it. But when i finally did, it made my week.
For manga, I think my favorite its, besides Death Note, Baku. I really enjoyed this manga. The story is short but it just really got to me, heh.
I usually head towards romance and comedy on my genre. But lately i've been going more towards horror. Its ok to change, right? razz

I love Death Note. ^^ Great story. I stick to action comedy a lot, but it's okay to change. I switched over to romance comedy around Christmas, but after I got the FMA games 1 and 2, I reverted back. xD
