At the year 2043AD, all religion was abolished setting a need for a new time, known as space age year, or SAY. During this time there was a huge boom of technological advances, including nano-technology inserted in the body for long life. But due to a major virus that broke out in 946SAY, many nanobots started to kill the host instead of helping. In order to avoid the destruction of the human race, most of the Earth's unaugmented population frantically searched for a new host planet. About 284 light years away, a planet with nearly the same characteristics of Earth was found, and was dubbed New Earth. In the year 1638SAY, intergalactic empire had been set up but fell by 1837SAY, giving rise to an intergalactic factional system where the territory is constantly changing and the only way to ensure survival is to be self-sustaining. Alliances are few, and enemies many, yet few wars have happened. Current year is 2731SAY, and below I will list several informational sections for describing the human civilization.

Factional:
Society driven by the interactions of a small collection of mutually exclusive but geographically unbounded power structures. Ex: "I'm a worker of the Arasaka corporation"
Social Conditions
Renaissance:
The society is in the midst of a dramatic flowering of new ideas and institutions. Ex: 16th century Italy, Wiemar Germany
Tech Level
Star faring:
Faster-than-light star travel, sentient computers, mature genetic engineering, nanotechology, longevity, particle-beam blaster, cold fusion, panimmunity, brain-tapes, complex implants, suspended animation, automedic, etc.
Goodies
Psionics
Structure: Cosmological
Psionics are an outgrowth of the structure of the universe, and transcend the human form. Psychic powers tend to be affected by energetic phenomenon, spacetime warps, etc.
Development: Artificial
Psionics can only be induced artificially through surgery, drugs, etc.
**PS**You can create any faction and planet you want, but for the purpose of interacting sooner rather than later, it's easier to start with the same planet.

Most noticeable trait: Psionic Augments used for many different purposes on the New Earth Colony. Appearance:  Special Skills: Has mastered most forms of Psionic Manipulation Weapons: Preferably a katana, but any gun or sword works Bio: Yuu was one of the original voyagers on the ships that Evacuated old Earth nearly 2000 yrs ago. By changing his name and appearance once in a while his abilities of Eternal youth have been kept secret from all the governments he's lived under. Shortly after Yuu had entered the main street of the capital of New Earth, the place of his current residence, he had noticed another crime had taken place. A murderer had apparently killed multiple people with a large broad-sword like weapon, causing much blood to be splattered all over the street. There were murders daily on New Earth, for almost all factions within the galaxy wanted control over that planet because of it's significance in history. It is mostly hoped that the government's lack of action about the crimes would cause rioting and a chance to take New Earth. Unfortunately for them, the leaders of New Earth were able to capture every single murderer before they escaped the planet, so their plans were having little effect. As I passed by I headed on my way to the diner where my dinner was going to be eaten.

yeah i wanna play... name biggrin ream age:85 but cant look older then 16 is a stargazing pirate appearance  Special Skills:can read the stars and everything around her. the wind and star kinda talk to her...and she has the ability to read them. weapons:swords, daggers, and mostly anything she can use at that moment...the more danger shes in the more things she can think up

-Dream ran through the streets with here animals...she was a carefree pirate and vampire cross she could eat food though...as WhiteFang ran ahead she seen a person walking along. Dream mostly sees no one walking...she was early too...seeing the person she ran and hid hoping no one would see her...she mostly did since her parents where both killed on the streets and she was the only one left that had the ability that she had.-

im terribly sorry, havent been on in a long time, but yes, a character is necesary, just a basic bio, and a pic if you want, but no, the guild isnt going down, its actually only a few months old at the time of this post
