Candle Color Meanings
Info taken from a post in the psychicvampire.org forums.
RED: health, energy, strength, sexual potency, courage, will power, to
conquer fear or laziness.
PINK: love, affection, romance, spiritual awakening, healing of the spirit,
togetherness.
YELLOW: intellect, imagination, power of the mind, creativity, confidence,
gentle persuasion, action, attraction, concentration, inspiration, sudden
changes.
ORANGE: encouragement, adaptabillity, stimulation, attraction, sudden
changes, control, power, to draw good things, change luck.
GREEN: abundance, fertility, good fortune, generosity, money, wealth,
success, renewal, marrage, balence.
BLUE: truth, inspiration, wisdom, occult power, protection, understanding,
good health, happiness, peace, fidelity, harmony in the home, patience.
PURPLE: success, idealism, higher psychic ability, wisdom, progress,
protection, honors, spirit contact, break bad luck, drive away evil,
divinination.
BROWN: attract money and financial success, influence Earth Elementals,
concentration, balence, ESP, intuition, study.
BLACK: reversing, uncrossing, binding negative forces, discord,
protection, releasing, repel dark magic, and negative thoughtforms.
WHITE: purity, spirituality and greater attainments in life, truth, sincerity,
power of a higher nature, wholeness.
MAGENTA: very high vibrational frequency that tends to work very fast so
usually burned with other candles; quick changes, spiritual healing,
exorcism.
INDIGO: meditation, neutralize anothers magick, stop gossip, lies or
undesireble competition, balence out karma.
GOLD OR CLEAR LIGHT YELLOW: great fortune, intuition, understanding,
divinination, fast luck, financial benefits, attracts higher influences, male
powers.
SILVER OR VERY LIGHT GRAY: removes negative powers, victory,
stability, meditation, develop psychic abilities, female powers.

i have got so must to teach you guys its almost not funny
the color of the candle never matters candle magic is simply a low energy cost spell form that borrows power from the realm of fire. so aslong as the spell your casting is low cost then it can be done with candle magic
though it is a commen to think that way (its the wiccans that do it)

as was said by faber-mike-pete candle magic used power from the plane of fire. so an actual tie to that plane would be needed. so no you would need to actualy burn the candle other wise the power for the spell will come from you and not be borrowed from the elemental plane.
