He seems ok for the first one to me, but I am really scared about how he will be as the older Jacob. I always immagined the guy that played Warren Peace from Sky High when I immagined Jacob, but I guess he is getting too old for the part. I will have to see the second movie before I decide whether I like him as Jacob or not. This is really important for me since Jacob is my favorite character. What do you all think?

I liked who they chose as Jacob, what freaked me out was the wig they put on him! I didn't think he had that long hair, but i don't know, maybe its supposed to be like that. U just kind of expected him to have hair just down to the shoulders or something..

I agree, the book says it is long, but I took that to meen shoulder length on a guy aswell. I wish they had let him tie it up though, it would look better up.

Hey, It's been a while since I have posted on this thread and I have changed my mind. Even though he is not completely native american, I think he will do well for the role. Especially after watching some of his interviews. He definately seems happy and free spirited enough, like Jacob is supposed to be in the first book. I think he is prefect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love his voice it matches what I thought it would be like
and he is really cute.

well...I'm still thinking that they cut have chopped his hair down to shoulder length. and besides in Eclipse it said his hair was shaggy cuz' of his long hair, but the length they've got, it's gonna be one hairy wolf!

angelic_9063 well...I'm still thinking that they cut have chopped his hair down to shoulder length. and besides in Eclipse it said his hair was shaggy cuz' of his long hair, but the length they've got, it's gonna be one hairy wolf! Well, it says in New Moon that he cuts it short like all of the others and then lets it grow back out, so hopefully it will be very long in Twilight, short in New Moon, and about sholder length in Eclipse. The thing that gets me is that the book specifically says Jacob ties it back into a ponytail, yet they are not letting him do that because James has a ponytail. stressed

i guess his fine, his just not the way i imagined him at all. That acter has changed soooooooooooooooooooo much since he was in Cheaper by the Dozen 2.

Like I said, I at first was upset that Taylor was chosen for Jacob, but I have slowly been warming to the idea. This website has some really good pictures of him with the long hair as behind the scenes photos. He looks alot like how I imagined Jacob to be in them. This website has some really good pictures of him with the long hair as behind the scenes photos. He looks alot like how I imagined Jacob to be in them. He looks the part much more than I thought he could. Actually he does have that long of a hair in twilight, In New moon Sam makes him chop it off and Bella almost didn't reconise him remember?

I like him, although I agree that he does look kind of old for the first book. He's also awfully good-looking to be the (almost) normal best friend. Still, I think he looks like Jacob and he did a good job acting. smile
|
