In this day and age, unless you have some good money, you can't buy a brand new rear wheel drive car for any less than 20,000. With the new Hyundai Coupe coming out do you think the market is ready for a return to cheap rear wheel motoring, or has the fears of oversteer drained away any chance for a new Silvia or Trueno?

I don't know what to expect from the market anymore. The Big 3 aren't doing good money wise so they are just following other car companies that just happen to hit a design that benifits them. But the ironic thing is that the foreign companies are just trying to apeal to the American market but they don't really know what America wants and they are just guessing while the American companies are just following them. You would think that a company in America would have a better understanding about America than a company in Germany or Japan. And if they aren't following foreign comapnies they are just packing their cars full of useless luxeries that adds to the cost weight and lowers the fuel economy. It's completly pointless. So if Germany or Japan thinks that a cheap RWD car is what America wants then you can bet your bottom dollar that America will follow in making a cheap RWD vehicle.

OORrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........., you can just go to a junkyard and find a good buy(trust me, they got em') and fix the little stuff. Just make sure you've got the time, experience, and a little"oops" money layin' around to do it.

...i wish those car manufacturers start making Rear engine-RWD economy cars again... ....just to give a lot of steering sensitivity....while making it suitable for drifting........
...i wish that volkswagen would bring back the old beetle's legacy.......
