Be who you are, and say what you feel...

"I don't want to do it."
It was at least the millionth time those words had escaped Larissa's mouth. However, unlike the other million times, she was almost... begging. She'd tried throwing a tantrum and outright refusing to go through with it but it hadn't worked. Now, here she was, getting last-minute adjustments done to her hair and make-up. All she wanted to do was scream and cry, but the fairy knew it was useless. She had to face the facts; she was getting married to Claw and there was absolutely no way she would be allowed to even see Zazan so long as her parents were within a 100-mile radius.

Across the room, Mickey leaned against the wall in her lilac bridesmaid dress. She was the maid of honor, but what was she supposed to do? Just as much as Larissa, Mickey did not want this wedding to take place. Especially after what had happened--no. She couldn't think about that. She hadn't even told Larissa about that yet! Still... what could she do?
"It's not like you even have to take it seriously. Just lie in the vows. Get a divorce later. I don't know..."

"It's just the principle of it all. I don't understand why they're even making me go through with this. It's not like them..." Larissa was so confused!

"Who knows."

The two were in a dressing room on the ground floor. Further away, one of the three grand ballrooms was getting decorated for the wedding, whilst another was preparing for the reception. The entire hotel was busy.

(Can Nari be other bridesmaid? If not I'll delete this post)

"I still say I would murder him for you. I may not like Zazan but at least he won't be forcing kids out of you every ten seconds," Nariko replied to the fairy. She had her ears and tail hidden so she could look more like Mickey, what with both of them being bridesmaids and all. Though, she still thought pink hair with a purple dress was a bit odd. Not like white was really better. "Either that or I could go fine Zazan and ask him to do one of those last-minute hero rescues like in 'Raising Helen', and 'How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days', and all those other 'chick flicks'," she said, thinking that would be very romantic. Then again she had become addicted to human/American romance movies.

A few rooms over from the main ballroom, and then a hallway or so over, the groom and his brother (as well as best man) were filling in their last minute preparations. There was not much left to be done- guys didn’t need fancy makeup over their eyelids or exquisite hairpieces like the mirroring ladies. Mainly the few guys were lounging lazily about, but the same mood intoxicated the air; a mood that wasn’t at all fit for a wedding setting. Nobody in the room was happy with the arrangements… and the groom himself was blind to what the whole big deal was. He knew he wasn't allowed to see the maid... but that was about as deep as it got.

“Claw- shouldn’t you finish up getting ready?” Fang pressed, placing a hand gently on his lounging twin’s back. What was wrong with Claw today? He looked sleepier than usual, even after the extra two hours he’d been given in bed. How could his stupid little twin be near-oblivious to everything that was spinning around him? The wedding, the vows, the promises to be faithful? Claw didn’t at all look like he’d ever be ready today, or ever in the future at all… Even in that dashing black suit (colored by a lilac-colored rose pinned to his breast), there was an airy expression plastered to the younger twin’s face that made him look like he was still in his teens.
Fang dearly wanted to hug that airy-looking arrogant young man and kiss him on the lips one long, lasting time to try to hold onto and cherish the childish relationship that they’d had… But he knew he couldn’t. That would only encourage his brother to misbehave; something that his just-as-airy mother had told Fang to discourage his twin from…
Besides, Fang was supposed to be mature now, right? He was supposed to go and get his own not-blood-related girlfriend, and start kissing her like he would have liked to do to his brother. Fang was a grown adult, and the two things he wanted to do the most were frowned upon in the grown-up adult world.

“I am ready.” insisted the groom, snapping back up at Fang. Dammit… why was everybody rushing him around? They’d woken him up just when he was starting to get some real sleep, and then forced him into this stiff suit. Dammit… Mickey hadn’t even been there when he’d been kicked in the shoulder by Bryant and forced out from under his sheets. It wasn’t a humiliation that they’d busted in on him when he wasn’t dressed in the least- after all, they were family and Claw didn’t uncommonly sleep in next-to-nothing (especially during the hot summer months). Had they suspected anything…? No, they couldn’t have! Their thoughts were all clouded up by silly words like “marriage” and “dedication” and “vows” and “faithfulness”- none of which Claw quite fully understood. What was the point of them, anyway? He didn’t like Larissa, and she didn’t like him… the least everybody could give him for his wedding was a longer leash. He hadn’t been faithful as a teenager, and some stupid marriage wasn’t going to stop him from having his fun now.
The angel extended his neatly-groomed wings, pushing Fang’s arm so that his hand was forced off of his shoulder. Sure as hell he’d be ready as he’d never been! “I was born ready.” Yup. The same arrogance was there, too. It was that arrogance that was blinding him from seeing all the big downfalls he’d have once married. Claw kicked up his feet onto the couch, stifling a small yawn.

"You don't actually think I'm letting him near me, do you?" Larissa asked, raising an eyebrow as she turned her head from the mirror to look at Nariko, "If my parents want grandkids, I'm adopting."
The fairy paused again, looking sadly back at the mirror. "I need Zazan." The words were just as small and helpless as she felt. It wasn't even worth trying; he wasn't invited, and all the security guards had been told to look out for him.

Mickey frowned slightly, a sympathetic expression on her face. She stepped away from the wall and made her way over to the seated fairy, giving her a gentle hug from behind. "Just think," she began with a more cheerful look on her face, "Just a few more hours and this will all be over. Your parents will be gone and you'll be free to cheat on that a*****e all you want."
That was the right thing to say, right? I hate Claw, she reminded herself. Well, the Mickey they knew did. And that Mickey couldn't just up and change her entire opinion on things.
And regardless of her feelings toward the angel, he was still an a*****e.

Somehow, a small laugh--though slightly forced--had managed to come from the woman. "I guess..." She appreciated the hug, but it didn't change anything. What upset her was not necessarily the marriage, since that was a sham anyway, but why it was happening in the first place. Why had her parents done it?

~ Nariko ~
"I still hold the option of killing Claw open," Nariko said as she stood by her two friends. "Anyway, just think: you can send his money to pamper Zazan while you're cheating on him," she said, trying to help like Mickey by being optimisitc.

Another laugh emitted from the fairy as she looked in the mirror at the two bridesmaids. "I love you guys," she said with a smile. Glancing at Nariko, she added, "But don't kill him. That could cause problems."

Grinning, Mickey gave Larissa's shoulders another squeeze before she let go. "Now that you're not so gloomy, let's hurry this up, yeah?" The fairy had not yet put on her dress; she wanted to do her hair and make-up first and not risk spoiling the rather expensive gown. Mickey, on the other hand, still had to finish her hair. Not much more was needed, just the hairpiece and some more hair spray. There was already a bunch; every time she turned her head quickly she was enveloped in fumes. There was little under an hour before the ceremony was supposed to start.

~ Nariko ~
Nariko had gotten her dress on first and had already finished her hair and most of her make up. She was helping Larissa and Mickey now."While Lar's getting ready, I still need to finish your hair,"the half vampire told the half demon.

The older twin was not going to buy it, no matter how sure Claw sounded of himself. Claw always sounded sure… If somebody was going to back out of this, he knew it wouldn’t be his brother. “You need to brush your hair still. And your wings- mother gave you a special brush for those.” muttered Fang, lifting up the long brush on the night-table so that he could tend to his little brother’s hair. Anything to get his mind off of the current situation they were in… Anything he could do to get closer to his brother before the one surefire way became officially off-limits. The angel let out a sigh, running the slender comb through the fluffy feathers that Claw had used to push his arm away. Just yesterday, hadn’t somebody who was paid cleaned up Claw’s feathers? What could his brother have done to mess them up again? Now was not the time for question; all the little details needed to be fixed up, and the remaining time needed to be squandered away.
But this whole wedding- all of it! It didn’t fit, didn’t feel right… Not for Fang, and he was doubtful that the groom’s bride felt at all comfortable. Fang had caught sight of the fairy one or two times before, and boy, she didn’t look too happy! Shorty hadn’t been invited and so he wasn’t there to comfort his not-girlfriend. Fang almost felt some sympathy. Almost- this was the girl who had somehow managed to force his only brother (and only sometimes lover) into a level of relationship that he’d never be able to handle (no matter what Claw said). Fang had never quite gotten to be friends with Larissa… but maybe because she was being forced to marry the a*****e who defined the word, he should feel worse about it. About both of their situations… It totally warped him and everybody else into the matter.

“I’m fine!” growled Claw, as foul-tempered as he normally was. To the angel, this was just another day with too many activities that he’d been forced to wake up too early to attend. The plus side was that these activities gravitated around him… but there was that pesky, busty fairy that the events also revolved around. Great. Sharing the spotlight… with her. Ever since high school, Claw couldn’t stand Larissa! She just… got in his way too often! Larissa wasn’t any fun. … Did this whole marriage crap thing he would have to spend the rest of forever with that crazy chick? No way was Claw going to follow to that! He’d continued to live life the way he wanted it!
The angel’s wings jerked out when the comb pushed against a small group of feathers that were just about ready to molt off anyway. They were picked out to the courtesy of Fang- but not without Claw hissing a few curses up at him first. His wings were fine, his hair was fine, he was particularly fine –looking - everything was just damned fine! Why wouldn’t Fang drop the topic so they could talk about something that was more interesting than worrying what could be, and what would happen? Why couldn’t they just take a nap until it was time for the actual whatever-he-had-to-do? Claw wouldn’t even mind taking a nap with Fang… if only his brother would stop making such a fuss!

Up a few dozen floors, no other artificial demon than Zazan (no last name) himself was sitting in one of the hotel rooms, on the king-sized hotel bed. No, he hadn’t been invited to the wedding… in fact, he didn’t even want to go see Lar get married to that freak. However, Zazan just-so-happened to have off from work (he was a maid at Larissa’s house; Sorcerer was only too glad to have sold him out where he could make some use) and he just-so-happened to have wanted a vacation at this particular spot where there just-so-happened to be a room that had just-so-happened to have already been paid for under a name that just-so-happened to not be his. He felt so helpless sitting there on that bed without Larissa, but what could he do? If Larissa’s parents found out that he was in the building, he’d be escorted off of the premises and possibly fired. There was no school to go back to, as the artificial demon had dropped out when Larissa became a graduate. Could he go back to Sorcerer’s place? HA! There was no way the aging wizard would ever allow a failure such as himself back into the tower with no money and just the clothes on his back (and quite possibly a maid’s dress in his hands)! … Would Larissa let him go back? He sure hoped not.
He coughed, sliding off of the bed and slumping to the window. What a beautiful wedding… Even Zazan had to admit, the countless lilac decorations going on outside were very pretty. Too bad the bride’s groom was a whore, and it was her wedding. Why did it have to be her’s?

(( XDD
That poll made me go into a giggle fit ))

((Idk what to vote, though~))

"Right." Mickey gave a quick nod. Larissa got up, and the half demon took the seat in front of the mirror. She still felt sick, but what was it? Was it what she'd though it was before? Was it nerves? Was it the thought of Claw and Larissa getting married?
For the moment, she just ignored it.
This whole thing was just... unreal. Maybe it would have been easier if Larissa had the same mindset as Claw did going into this. The fairy didn't deserve this... As much as it still hurt Mickey's pride to admit it, Larissa belonged with Zazan. Even if this pathetic excuse for a marriage was all a sham, that didn't mean it wasn't happening. There was only one person who was good enough to stand at the altar and promise to be with Larissa forever, and that was the artificial demon that Mickey had spent more than three years butting heads with.

On the other side of the room, Larissa began to change into her dress. She could have cared less that Nariko and Mickey were in the room; they were her best friends and it wasn't like they were seeing new.
Over her last couple of years in high school, Larissa's body had become more proportioned. Yeah, her chest was still big, but it didn't stand out as much as before. It only took her a few moments to get the dress on, though the zipper was a little tricky. It was full-length and pure white, with no straps and a subtle floral embroidery in the torso part. The skirt was made of a stiff satin material, but it looked pretty and shimmered.
Larissa turned to gaze at herself in the full-length mirror. What a beautiful dress... She hated it. No... She hated that she had to wear it.

~ Nariko ~

Nariko grabed a brush and easily started to do the half demons hair. Though she did find it hard not to just use her shadows. After graduareing she had been trying to learn not to use shadows."Oh Larissa, I just thought of another good thing. After the wedding when we're at the after party you can get super drunk and froget the whole thing."she said partly trying to be funny since she knew Larissa was not a binge drunker. That was more like Mickey, but even she would not get that brunk, or atlest the fox hoped not. Mickey sober was already fun.

(I wanna vote the groom and bridesmaid but then I'll go....>.> but Nari also bridesmaid <.<...))
