I meant to write about this before, but I got sidetracked and forgot all about it: the Batman/Wonder-Woman is kinda interesting, because reading those old old old Wonder-Woman stories really makes you wonder about the guy who wrote it. (Sure makes me wonder, anyway.) There's all kinds of "bondage" stuff all over the place and somehow women are automatically kinder and wiser than men-- unless they're evil. In which case the dastardly female villain will (usually) end up reforming anyway because all she apparently needed was a hug. Plus, the only reason women are physically weaker than men is because they think they are. It has nothing to do with simple biology and the fact that men tend to be bigger and have more muscle mass and such. (Now when I say that I don't mean that all women are inherently "weak" and should never take charge or anything; as a woman myself it's just ridiculous to see it taken to this sort of extreme, that's all.)
And as for Batman being "gay..." I'm just gonna leave that well enough alone, actually (mainly because it would unleash a rant to end all rants and I don't wanna go there. burning_eyes )
