i have a 1994 acura integra, which i have recently purchased a cold air intake for, it is a 3 inch diameter mount and is made by spectre (Generic company i suppose) anyways the reason which i have purchased this filter, was mostly because, well, i needed a new air filter but it seems that unlike the K&N which i have installed on my dads truck, you have to buy an intake kit. i have dissassembled my old filter box, and the ducts are 3 inch diameter, but the old air filter is angled from the box to reach the ducting, is there any safe and sure way which i can install this filter, without having to pay 746213549879874321654654987321 dollars for new intake ducting? this is hard for me because i cant get a job yet, stupid state, anyways thanks for any help!

I don't really understand where the trouble is, or what you are talking about, but all you need to do is pipe the filter to whereever you want it while keeping the maf inline.
Just go to a hardware store and measure up some aluminum pipe, or hell even pvc will do the job.
Won't be as pretty as having it fabbed, but it'll work.
Edit: and make sure you keep everything intact and reversible, because state may put restrictions on generic aftermarket intake accessories when testing for IM, if applicable in your state.

hey thanks for the help, i had thought of that earlier but i didnt know if PVC would be a safe alternative, ill try it and post results, thanks again.

If you think about it what are most OEM air boxes made of? Plastic. PVC is way stronger and will hold up to heat.

With a 94 integra, you could probably have found an AEM or even Ingen or Ractive (Not recomended, but they are cheap) for relatively cheap and you would have gotten the filter cone with the intake kit. I know its strange, but thats the way intakes work with imports it seems.
If you had just wanted a filter without the intake, you could have gone with a Comptech Sport Filter (Im not sure they have them, but I know they did for the Accord, which is a relatively obscure car, as opposed to the Integra), and Im sure if you checked a few sites online, you could have probably found a filter relatively easy. Im not sure if comptech actually makes the filter for the integra, but since they deal explicitly in Honda/Acura models, I would assume that they do make them.
