I just want your opinion... does my new RPC look better colored or not?

BTW my scanner doesn't work cause a mouse use to live in it(didn't work before how ever) so I tried to get the best digi cam photo possible.

the colored was traced copy of origanal... so the non colored is actually two pieces of paper(lols flashcards) don't mintion his right arm just disappearing please I got lazy alright?

The red marks on and near his neck are cause I accidentlydropped my brush sad I never paint while on no sleep again

I suppose feel free to be critic if you must.. Personally... I wont take in for a few... on the picture in "These" I could have done better I had switched to mecha pencil... I shouldn't have O.o I shoulda stuck to traditional pencil >.< ok ok yea I'll stop pointing crap out that I have noticed and let you point out some stuff I guess lols...

I like it better uncolored. or maybe with a different medium other then watercolor. ^.^

water colors all I'm good at... they look pastelly if I try color pencils cause my parents buy cheap a** ones or I "borrow" the crap ones from school... I'm teaching myself though... well trying waiting for better pencils first...

What media do you suggest I should try? for future references....

you could try CG. Artweaver is a free online coloring program.

click on artweaver.exe

It should give you some cool results. just make sure u have back up copies on you computer in case u mess up learning the program. any questions, ask ^.^

Personally, I prefer the colour version, contrary to Ava's thoughts. ^^;
The colour version stands out more to me, plus you can see details like markings on the ears, which just get confusing when drawn in as lines.
As for watercolour itself, it is a great medium actually, and if it's what you love colouring in, then all power to ya'! I do recommend practising with a load of other medias though, from pencils, to markers (you can surprisingly learn a lot from them!) and of course, CG art. The more you know about other mediums/styles will improve what you can do in your preffered one. smile

never used cg and i'm not allowed to download programs >.< I prefer being able to "feel" my art and coloring come from me... not a program cause it doesn't feel right to me and thank you both for feed back.... I'll try cg when i get my own comp reformatted and if i can find a working scanner...

I do do some color pencil in fact I will be practicing more with it once i get nice ones and a full scale of colors not the random a** colors i have... markers aren't my thing >.> i don't like the results...i can also now use other paints too.. i have acrylics now cause I'll be painting a pic on my door soon... I just need an idea.... so yea....
