To whomever this apartment is assigned, This is your own place. Do with it as you wish, but you must stick to the general floorplan [as exemplified by the pics in the "About the Complex" sticky]. You may have guests over and you may move in with other residents. Keep in mind, however, that every apartment on the first and second floors has only one bedroom. The third floor contains apartments with two bedrooms. You may move to the third floor at any time [but either DeirdreTonbo or Alexis D must first be notified]. Again, feel free to personalize your apartment and alter it as you see fit. Have fun!
~Alex

Vega moved about the apartment as she hurried to put the last of her things away. There really wasn't all that much to begin with, but it would never start to feel like home if she still had boxes laying around. The stereo and small, but adequate, TV had already been unpacked. They were the only things she allowed herself to splurge on, well besides her art supplies that is. Her CDs had yet to be unpacked so she settled on a radio station that was to her liking, a classic rock station, to act as background noise as she finished putting up her things.
One of the last boxes held a few pieces of her artwork, some paintings and a few framed sketches. They would look good in the living room, however, she didn't have any nails to hang them up with. She'd stop by a hardware store later. Vega needed to go into town anyway; her fridge was pitifully empty.
With most of her stuff out of the way she allowed herself a break and stepped out onto the balcony. Now that she thought about it, she hadn't even come out here yet. She reached into her back pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Upon opening the pack she saw that she only had two cigarettes left. Now she really had to go into town. It was an awful habit and she knew that, but improving her health was not a strong enough reason to quit. At least, not as strong as her reason to start was in the first place..
Vega placed the cigarette between her lips and lit it, taking a deep drag of the smoke and let it linger in her lungs a moment before exhaling. She wouldn't smoke in the apartment, she wasn't sure of the rules about that, she hadn't asked. But even if it was allowed she woudn't. Vega may enjoy smoking but she didn't like everything she owned smelling like it.
As she leaned against the railing she looked around the complex, mainly the pool, and took the occasional drag from her cig. The pool was empty but she did spy someone in the hot tub and she absently thought it was a little warm for that.

Skipping the last few stairs up to the second floor of the aparment complex, Quinn ran a hand through her damp hair, glad that the sudden autumn rainstorm was not a rain drizzle, the clouds promising to break at any moment now. It was great. A grin on her lips, she strode to apartment 214, looking at the peice of paper in her hand.
One hand rapped sharply on the door, waiting patiently for someone to answer. She was positive the new tenant was supposed to be moving in today. And though Alex might beat her for it, she made sure to personally greet all the new female tenants. A grin flashed over her lips. That tendancy lead to almost as much trouble and drama as fun, but it was an even exchange, she thought.
Short, brown hair was tousled around her face, and she still wore her professional garb of sushi-print flannel pants and grey tank top with brilliant orange flip flops. Oh yes, she was indeed the assistant manager in that outfit.

Vega looked through the open glass balcony doors to her own apartment door as she thought she heard something. A visitor already? Taking one last drag from her cigarette she looked around for an ashtray that wasn't there. The girl dropped the butt to the balcony floor and crushed it with the toe of her old sneaker, the lingering embers quickly dying out.
She quickly strode through the apartment, her hands brushing back loose strands of multi-toned hair and tucking them behind her ears as she tried to make herself look somewhat more presentable. She opened the door and saw a girl standing there, probably a neighbor of hers. "Yeah..?" Vega kicked herself mentally for how put off the greeting sounded. Way work those people skills, she mentally chided herself.

"Hello," Quinn smiled easily, even at the gruff greeting she recieved. With the figure of a model and a smile the could disarm even the toughest of securities, she peeked past Vega into the room behind her. "Looks like you're getting moved in nicely. I'm Quinn, assistant manager of the apartments."
Sure, she could have left it at that, in fact many managers would not have bothered with the personal greeting. But, if the sushi pants were any indication, Quinn was far from being the typical manager.
"I came to invite you to lunch. I know I didn't have much in the way of food when I first moved in." There was an honesty in her smile, as though she really did want to make sure the girl before her was happy, but there was also something guarded, something that was hidden in her expression.

"I'm Vega." The young artist offered her hand to Quinn in an attempt to rectify her earlier behavior. So she was the assistant manager? The clothes didn't scream any sort of authority but like Vega cared about that. Looks like she would fit in here just fine. She glanced back into her apartment when Quinn did. Empty boxes still littered the ground but she would take them to the dumpster later. Maybe when the rain finally died down. "Yeah, I got most of it up already. It helped that I didn't bring too much with me."
A grin spread across her lips at the mention of food. "Lunch sounds great. I've been so busy with the move that I forgot to eat something." Including breakfast. And dinner the night before, she added to herself. Plus she'd be a fool not to take up a pretty girl's offer on going out. Vega grabbed a well-worn leather jacket from the back of a chair. The leather was incredibly soft but a bit scuffed. It was another one of her amazing thift store finds.

"I hope you like it. I've a recipe for Humbow I've been looking for an excuse to try." Quinn turned to grin over her shoulder at the artist, strolling toward the stairs. Her walk was easy and confident, she could have been wearing a ballgown or business suit. "Do you have a preference for chicken or pork?"
Without missing step she turned around backwards and watched her new acquaintance as they walked, starting down the stairs. Hell, at least her walking downwards was a good excuse to glance at Vega's figure without being creepy or obvious.
"I'm over this way." Turning around one more time, she gestured to the door of 125, pulling keys from her pocket. (aaaand we'll switch threads now)
