ON THE TOPIC OF MAGIC: Yes, it does exist. But your character can't use it yet. You're just a normal student. Remember, in the beginning of Negima, only a very small handful of characters knew about the existence of magic, let alone use it. You can eventually be those people; but you have to build up your characters into them. However, you are allowed to have a magical background; hell, you can come from the Magic Country if you want, as long as you don't have the capacity or knowledge to use it when you start.

Likes: Tries VERY hard to show that she doesn’t particularly like anything… but deep down she really likes Spanish food, soap operas and her guardians
Dislikes: Tries to show that she dislikes everything… but truthfully doesn’t like Japanese cuisine, authority figures, egoistical bastards, and fangirls
Flaws: Having very little knowledge in Japanese, Sophie often gets insanely poor grades due to not being able to understand the teacher. She also is hard to get along with, personality wise.
She also can come off of a bit of a coward, and a jerk… not being able to admit defeat or apologize for wrong actions.
Personality: Is very “tell it like it is” and doesn’t beat around the bush. Despite this, she has a tendency to be incredibly defensive and contradict just about everything. Often tries to act very “badass” yet has a very comic relief tone to her actions, so it doesn’t always work out
Physical Appearance: Sophie bears straight jet black hair that falls a little bit below her shoulders. She has dark brown eyes and is a little bit over 5’ 7”. Often wears a poofy black skirt, somewhat like a Ballerina’s tutu, and dark stockings. Likes to wear converse :3 ((yes XD)) and has a pair of slim sunglasses that cover her deep brown eyes. She also has a pair of dark red earphones in which drain out the sound of people talking to her most of the time. Although she doesn’t like anything about the Japanese culture, she has taken a liking to Japanese Rock in all of its morbid glory.
Background: Comes from the Madrid region of Spain in Europe. Having lived there with her mother, father and assortment of siblings, she was sent to Japan on a foreign exchange. Despite absolutely hating it in Japan, her parents decided that it was best for her to stay at Mahora. It was cheaper for them in the long run, due to distant relatives paying tuition and other means of living.
Her Great Aunt ((65)) and Great Uncle ((70)) are probably the only reason she can somewhat stand Japan. Great Aunt De la Lucha ((Tía)) and Great Uncle De la Lucha ((Tío)) have brought the culture of Spain to their large Japanese Tudor home, located about 30 minutes away from Mahora Academy. Sophie often visits them during the weekends and always on holidays. Tío and Tía seem to be the only adults ((or people period)) in the world that Sophie seems to have any respect or love for.

Age/Grade: 12/Mahora Yellow
Likes: Anything Christmas-related. Red and White. Snow. Fire. Fruit. Animals.
Dislikes: Violence, Water, Darkness, Loud noise, Classic music (puts her into a coma-like sleep.)
Flaws: Needs sunlight to function; she goes into a "hibernation" mode if she doesn't get enough. She also has narcolepsy when encountering any kind of classical music.
Personality: Doesn't seem to enjoy interacting with people more than necessary. She can also be incredibly naive when talking to some people; it's unknown whether she does it on purpose or not... It's very hard to get her truly angry, but it's fairly easy to irritate her. While she does act like a child in some ways, she can be surprisingly mature and collected in certain situations.
Physical Appearance: Fairly small, slim build. Large eyes that drift lazily somewhere between yellow and light green; her hair is a bit above shoulder-length and very light blonde. She has a visible tattoo of a small blue heart on her cheek below her right eye. When she's not in her school uniform, she wears any number of very... odd outfits that she either designs herself, or her sister has made for her. Many of them are Yuletide themed.
Background:Not much known, to the public or to herself. She's a foreigner, but speaks near-perfect Japanese. Supposedly, she's actually from a fairly wealthy and prestigious family who moved from Persia to Spain after Mustafa Kemal took power. The family includes such names as Christiangaurd, Savant, Saterphine and even the illustrious Rozentriomphe clan. Of course, all their official power has long since vainished, and now just maintain their properties in Spain; certain restrictions put limits on their foreign power. As far as any birth certificate can tell, Santa Love is her true name; she used to have about 25 more surnames, but since it was decided that she needed to be "excommunicated" from the family, she only has those two left. And so, she was thrown into the streets, with only her elder sister and loyal butler...
and a couple dozen servants and maids.

Name: Xeion Raschener Age/Grade: 18/ College level Likes: Being alone, his sister, playing the stock market, hacking, programming, shooting, training & J-Pop. Dislikes: Everyone who tries to hit on his sister, annoying people, being in a crowd for too long & everyone who hurts his sister. Flaws: Is too protective about his sister and would go to extreme lengths to ensure her safety & gets irritated easily. Personality:One of Mahora's most brilliant students whose intellect is said to be almost, if not equal, to a former Mahora student, Chao Lingshen, but it is also due to this intellect that he firmly believes that there is no such thing as magic in the world, merely dismissing magical occurrences as flukes or tricks of light. Cold and calculated towards others, he tends to be passive about everything around him and prefers being alone or with his sister, Rina, than hanging out with other people. Although he's usually hard to approach, his attitude drastically changes when he knows that his sister is within the vicinity, suddenly transforming from a hard-assed bad boy to a gentle kitten. He loves his sister very much, so much that he would do virtually anything she asks of him. Physical Appearance:Background:Xeion is a product of the union between Nyuu and Zero in Zembudokai, entrusted to Rina's care just before the first set of Mahora's mages sealed off the dimensional breach which allowed the Twilight's corruption to spread from the Magic World to Mahora. As a child, Xeion grew up into believing that Rina was his sister and that both of their parents died in a horrible car accident which left only the two of them alive, but with their deaths, also left the two of them an insane amount of inheritance. Even in his earliest years, Xeion started to develop a deep fondness for his sister, a fondness which bordered on love. There were times that he would mimic everything that his sister does which is also the main reason why he became interested in computers for he saw that his beloved sister loved the things, and with her sister's knowledge of computers that was passed down to her by Rione who decided to stay behind in the Magic World, Xeion became an exceptionally skilled hacker. Seeing as his personal feelings and desire for his sister were unacceptable by society's standards, he tried to drown out the thoughts through intense physical training under the Ku Fei Temple and the Tatsumiya Shooting Club which eventually led to him to develop amazing adeptness in the martial arts and unbelievable weapon proficiency, specializing in ranged, automated ballistic weaponry (guns). > Rina Raschener (18 but is actually 36 since Regalias age slower than humans) - Xeion's beloved sister who isn't actually his sister in terms of blood. She is also secretly in love with her younger brother due to his sweetness around her and his appearance, reminding her of her Zero-niichan and Nyuu-neechan who are both still alive in Zembudokai but is keeping it a secret from her brother. Name: Thanks to the Japanese tendency to put last names first (I think) his name is read Tentei Hando (God Hand) Har. Har. ******** har.
So his name is Hando Tentei...
Age: 15, 4-B
Likes: Loud Music, the ocassional smoke, randomness and surfing the net. And manga.
Dislikes: Anime (with exceptions), humanity, politics and so on.
Flaws: Extremely hot headed and willing to get into fights to defend people's honor. Rather idiotic, scoring roughly C's and D's in all subjects, including gym...mainly cause he doesn't like to do school work. Even if its gym
Personality: Loud, hot headed and idiotic, he's a person who would rather use his tolerance for pain and odd fighting style rather than sit and discuss about it. His normal attitude gives off an impression of insanity, but really he's just passionate about...stuff
Despite his...whatever you call it, he is still quite honorable, and goes through a yearly ritual in order to remove the dishonor he may have gained throughout the year from bad results and fighting too damn much.
Physical Appearance: Dark blue hair with a fringe that covers his eyes (which are always half-closed)with headphones around his neck, dark green gloves and when not wearing his uniform (Which he wears in a way that would make stuck up teachers choke), he's usually walking around in long pants, T-Shirt with some random joke or scribble and a black jacket with a Nike symbol on it.
Background: Born into a middle-class Japanese family, he is the son of a small company, blue-shirt office man father (41) and personal trainer mother (40), he from a young age has been forced by his mother to be fit and healthy, going through daily exercises, eating the right foods and so on.
He's been getting into fights with older students since Primary School, and after years of trouble with the school, he was forced by his parents to study for the test into Mahora, which he passed, barely for a fresh start.
He now lives at the school, everyday still taking part in the exercise that have been embedded into his life since he could walk. Rumors of magic made it to his ears and he now searches the school for evidence.
Extra: He's got a bitching right hook and 1-2 punching combo, hence the whole "God Hand" s**t. Never played the game.
Extra 2: If we bring back the pactios, his item while be Belka Metal Gloves. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha references FTW.

He went to Kyoto U with his wife. they got married after graduation after their honeymoon, they got teaching jobs at Mahora they left Mahora the winter before the Twilight Incident they had a son the spring of 2027 they began the multibillion dollar company Angeltech his wife is killed by an unknown assailant in 2030 soon after, he sends his son to live with (the son's) grandparents. he moves the company to tokyo he is reverted to the age 15 in an accident in 2042, resulting in the loss of his battlesuit he is is taken in by his future girlfriend, where he stays until competing high school. he leaves the company in the hands of his parents. he gets his job again at Mahora academy. he also gets acceptance for his son and his girlfriend to becone students. they all leave for the academy. (they are all 18 )

Dislikes: guys who hit on her, obnoxious people, 'laborous' physical exertion (like hiking. showing off doesn't count), PE, home Economics, most teachers, know-it-alls
Flaws: a show-off, bossy, stubborn, a know-it-all (oh, the irony!), and opinionated
Personality: Is very sensitive about her looks and very touchy about looking practically asexual. Is quite outgoing, cheerful, 'chirpy', and friendly, unless someone makes a comment about her lack of 'feminine charms', in which case she will be highly violent and merciless. As such, is always at the foreground, in front of whatever is happening. People find her slightly overpowering, even though she's a very nice person. Has a tendency to come to perverted conclusions, though, and is a bit ecchi. Beneath that pretty face, however, is a calculating mind that thinks like a quantum processor. She happens to be a technical genius, and has an eidetic memory. Her cooking skills suck, however, and she can barely make a few of her favorite recipes, relying instead on takeout and microwave food.
Physical Appearance: Black hair and dark-brown eyes (which is so dark it often looks black), average height, fair skin and a very slight build (has been mistaken for a boy several times since her chest is so flat).
Background: Deedee came to Mahora from the Philippines on scholarship because her parents felt she was too young to go to MIT yet. She is a gifted programmer and engineer and is in the forefront of the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, and is secretly trying to take over Microsoft, Apple, IBM, and the Cerer Group, among other companies. She chose Mahora primarily because it was the last listed address of a defunct company known as Magitech Enterprises, and their mysterious products known only as 'magitech'. Her parents are alive and well, and will not be appearing or even influencing the story.
Other Notes: Magic capable, but doesn't know it (but that might not matter. Remember Nodoka and Yue?)
Others: Has an A.I. loaded into a robot named C.A.A.T. (Computerized Anthropoidal Assistant Technoform). C.A.A.T. is vaguely cat-shaped, but can slightly lengthen limbs to produce a vaguely 'cat-girl' shape. It possesses many useful features that Deedee installed herself...

Personality: nice, annoying girly girl the kind that stabs people in the back
Physical Appearance: long curly brown hair, wears a red/pink apron almost all of the time with a white shirt and tan shorts underneath though it kind of looks like she is not wearing pants she also wears a red/pink beret (French hat) she is 5'2" and she has light blue eyes and shoes that mach her hat and apron
Background: she came to Japan to learn about the language and the food here. she did live in France with her mom and dad but hated that her parents watched her every move. So they all decided that she should go to Japan for "educational reasons" so she took her dog and came here. Her parents don’t really care about money because they are kind of rich. so she stays in Japan

Name: Keirin 'Neko-chan' Segihara

Flaws: Easily distracted. Is often reprimanded for not paying any attention. Obsesses quite easily, sometimes to the point of stalking. Is also a klutz due to poor vision. Has an over-protective streak regarding a stuffed kitten she received as a child.
Personality: In being easily distracted, she comes off as younger than she is. Has been known to play for hours at a time with string, simply because she got bored. Is also perceptive to a fault, but has no tact. Has a tendency to re-state the obvious, but is trying to learn better. Comes off as stand-offish at first, but once she is relaxed, she'll talk a person's ear off.
Physical Appearance: Keirin is about 5'3, with dark brown hair and almost lime green eyes-- cat's eyes, she's been told. Wears mainly skirts, generally with a few pockets for her cameras and related materials. Refuses to wear her black- rimmed glasses, but will grudgingly do so after the fifth or sixth time running into something. Has an odd fascination with martial arts, but due to her klutzy nature, has given up hope of ever doing anything more than watching.
Background: Keirin was orphaned at a young age, leaving her (much) older sister Haruko to raise her. Haruko was thrilled to see that young Keirin took an interest in the camera, but dismayed when instead of taking photos of lady-like scenery, Keirin found true beauty in the speed of martial arts matches. (but for the lack of at the moment, adjusting) in other people.
Haruko tried to make sure that Keirin was adequately prepared for all aspects of life, but in dealing with Keirin's lack of concentration, inadvertantly caused Keirin to come off as much less mature than she truly could be.
The only thing she has left from her parents is a small black stuffed kitten, aptly named Kuro-sama. Has been known to go berserk if something happens to said kitten, adding to the confusion about her age.
For some odd reason, there are times when Keirin is completely able to be graceful. Stealthy, even. The first time scared Haruko senseless. It only seems to happen when Keirin's focused intently on something outside of herself. If she's made aware of it... well, she'll run back into something.

Dislikes: Humans, mages
Flaws: His insanely arrogant about his kind and believes that humans should be the slaves of his kind. Is incapable of producing magic of any kind.
Personality: Arrogant, cold and somewhat cruel.
Physical Appearance: A young boy of a short thin nature, with black messy hair that sticks up in places and dark brown eyes. Across his back is a tattoo in the shape of wings. Is always seen with his favorite pair of goggles
Background: A member of bird tribe, Kuriko is a winged hanyo with black crow wings, meaning one of his parents is a human, the other was a Crow Demon. Much like Setsuna. Unlike Setsuna however, he does not fight with a sword, preferring a long spear, which combined with his ability of flight allows him to rain death from the skies.
Kuriko spent his entire childhood grown up under the views and customs of his tribe, firmly believing humans are weak and that his kind is strong. He left his tribe for the human world at the age of 12, determined to find a way to help him achieve his dream of his kind finally dominating and ruling the Earth.
His answer: Magic.
The school: Mahora.
Hearing of the rumours surrounding Mahora and its magical ties, he set out to learn the ways of mages, not knowing of his inability to perform magic.
His hero is Devil Jin from the Tekken series and during battles will randomly spout out the line "Fear the wrath of God."

Likes: his Art (stage magic) and other activities involving high amounts of dexterity and mental acuity, d20, local anime/manga, anything I(nformation)T(echnology) related, learning new things in general
Dislikes: stuck-ups who don't know how to kick back and have fun, not being left alone during his "quiet time", people who disregard his stage magic as 'childish'
Flaws: swings between extremes - sometimes very showy (almost arrogant), sometimes moody and depressed. can also be very boastful when it comes to challenges, especially with regards to his stage magic. when feeling defensive, becomes very sarcastic and cruel (tends to lash back out verbally). left alone with a problem, can drive himself to distraction by over-thinking and re-re-re-reanalyzing potential solutions.
Physical Description: Jared is an average looking westerner. He's 5'8", and weighs about 160 pounds. He's in excellent shape, very lean and flexible. He is Caucasian, but quite tanned. Jared's hair is a medium brown that highlights gold under direct sunlight; he keeps his hair relatively short, and parts it over his left eye. He has a hooked Jewish nose, squared-off jaw, heavy eyebrows, and prominent sideburns down to his earlobes. His eyes are a deep, dark brown. Not exactly bishonen, but kinda handsome in his own unique way. Jared dresses casually most of the time: a t-shirt, cargo pants, and sneakers.
Personality: Jared is a very animated person; while he can get rowdy and boastful, more often he's better described as "fun-loving". He has a quirky sense of humor, and takes an almost perverse amount of joy in making people laugh... in a good way. However, he conceals within him a deep sense of spirituality, which doesn't show itself often. In Jared still waters run deep.
Background: Two words - stage magic. Jared's paternal grandfather was a stage magician in his youth, and while neither of his son's delved very far into the trade, Jared was absolutely enthralled from the moment he saw and felt his 'Grandpa Flip' pull a coin out of his ear. (More on his skills later.)
Jared's parents are both intellectually oriented people, and Jared showed it best when he talked them into letting him finish his last two years of high school at Mahora. Manga lead him to Japanese culture, which lead to classes learning how to speak and read the language. With his enthusiasm for getting out of America and into this fascinatingly-different culture (Japanese), Jared expended significant effort and his command of the language, while accented, is excellent.

Physical Appearance:  Background: He ran from home at a young age the moment his drunkard of a father killed his mother. He lived alone in the slums for a few years alone and made his way through life by taking what he needed from others. Later on he was found by Kaede who trained him, making him an able ninja in no time. His goals are to surpass her and prove himself to her. He doesn't like studying or paying attention to others. He likes being cheerful rather than depressed and doesn't like taking no for an answer

Flaws: Deathly afraid of snakes, physically weak, tends to forogt everything around him when reading a book, short temper
Personality: He is very kind most of the time.
Physical Appearance: Blond hair. Blue eyes, and pale skin. Wears a blue shirt and blue jeans.
Background: Mizu is very smart for his age and decided to be a doctor when he was young. He started taking martial arts lessons when he saw two martial artists fighting on TV at age 5. After finding out he didn't have the body to be a martial artist he stopped taking lessons. At age 7 he started taking dancing because he was always listening to music and tripping whenever he tried to dance. At age 8 he found some medical books and books on human anatomy and started to read them. When he finished reading them and understood them at age 9 he found that by attacking pressure pionts in the human body that he could become a martial artist but he decided to also keep his dream of being a doctor.

Name: Yujogi Sanosaki Age/Grade: 24/College Likes: Martial Arts, magics, wandering, chaos. Dislikes: Orders, help. Flaws: He doesn't like to bring people into his affairs. He also tends to be over bearing in his fighting, using a lot of energy up. He will also generally take on tasks to grand for him to accomplish. Personality: Socialable, very outgoing and wanting to help other, also a bit cocky at times. Physical Appearance:  Yes, i know he looks like Nagi. Background: Yujogi came from a prestigice line of magi and he was taught for the age of 5 how to do magic. He is now going to a magical college and that his parents enrolled him in but he doesn't want to go. He would rather just wander the world help people in need. But, unfortunately his parents keep a close eye on him and he can never escape from this hell hole. Oh well, let's see what happens.
