What are your favorite PvP fighting games? Any that you can recommend for the PSP? I was just reminiscing about Street Fighter II (also one of my favorite anime tie-ins). I think I'm torn between Chun Li and Ryu as my favorite characters to play. I've also played Soul Caliber III, but not enough to really be familiar with any of the characters.

ive played alot of fighting games and let me tell you i love alot of fighting games, for ps1 i recomend xmen vs. street fighter, marverl vs. capcom, also for ps2 i recoment bloody roar 3 and 4 especially, but all the bloddy roar including 1 and 2 for ps1 are excellent, never really liked tekken, dont know what the big deal is about it....anyways...for ps2 dragonballz budokai 3 and dragonballz budokai tenkaichi 3 (yes they are 2 different games) and also the naruto ultimate ninja series if your a fan of that i just recently got ultimate ninja 3 and its great if you like the anime. also if your a dbz fan and wanna play a dbz game that is realistic to the ways of the dbz world, budokai tenkaichi 3 is the way to go....as the fights are very....unique to say the least....you can do practically anything youve seen in the shows...not from a 2d side scrolling perspective but from a 3rd person behind the back view that seems complicated at first but once you get the hang of it, its the best experience dbz wise for games. realistically it is the most true to the dbz fighting style and how they fight in general, moreso then any game ive seen, and ive played nearly every single dbz fighting game, even the japanese ones never released in the states.

Will do! I love Naruto, but I haven't really felt inclined to sit down and really watch Shippuden, yet. I also wouldn't mind trying out some DBZ games.

after the ps2 came out they finally started making some good fighting games based on anime like dbz and naruto, before ps2 and psp the power just wasn't good enough to make something that really held true to something as intense or action packed as something like dbz and naruto, psp has versions of games for naruto and dbz which are on ps2 but they are slightly different as they are on psp instead and boast slightly less power then a ps2 capability for some things, they still are generally the same and just as fun, for the naruto ultimate ninja:heroes 2 for psp i wouldnt mind it, i like ultimate ninja series for ps2 and the first ultimate ninja heroes had an interesting feature, create your own custom 3 man teams from the character list instead of the normal teams and get random extra bonus effects or items, like for example if you pick itachi, sasuke, and kakashi you would get team sharingan and so on and so forth, you level your guys up use the experience to increase their stats how you like and such the same goes similarly for the dbz budokai series on the psp, shin budokai games are good and very much the same as those of the budokai series on ps2.also the naruto and dbz games nowadays are all cell shaded and look like anime so, no more CGI looking stuff for those anime games as they have for alot of anime fighting games nowadays...

I love Street Fighter II, but apparently... it's one of thioes games that I like... but I suck at it.
Also, som have to be specific of which SF II game, there are so many of them. The ones I know and own are...
"Street Fighter II' Special Champion Edition" on Sega Genesis "Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting" on Super Nintendo "Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers" on both SNES and Genesis
I'll have to say... SF II Turbo.
