Final Fantasy X Blitzball was pretty sweet I agree. But you are forgetting about the Calm lands and customizable items. 9999 breaker and over 30,000 hit points is just plain sweet. You could also earn Wakkas Limit Breakers if you were lucky in Blitzball. But the Dark Material was the real prize and the limits were just more trouble than they were worth.

Legend of Dragoon was a pretty sweet game and I would put Breath of Fire 3 in the same bracket with it.

Never played Alunda though I have heard good things about it. FF8 was the best Final Fantasy ever released in my opinion loosing by only a very small margin to FF7. Everything about that game was above average. The graphics, the battle system was interesting. The plot itself was well written and there were even some good mid bosses in that game (though not as formidable as the ones in FF7 due to the crazy Limit Breakers in FF8. Though Knights of the round table was highly abusable with a 260,000 per turn attack. The same could be said about the Final Form in Kingdom Hearts two as well. The move was made so strong that stronger Mid Bosses could have been added to the game and they still would have been beatable.
