This forum is specifically for the brackish fishes of the world, do not list a fish here unless you know that it lives in brackish waters, marine or freshwater fishes are not allowed. TO DEFINE brackish fish, they live in a mix of salt and freshwater but depending on the type of fish it can or can not swim into fresh or marine water, it also includes freshwater that can live in brackish and ditto with marine fish.

Like the Sailfin mollies? They can't live in fresh or salt water, and they also live in areas with dense vegetation. Other than some livebearers, there are some killifish, gobies, blennies, and those amphibious fish that live on the muddy banks in brackish enviroments, not to mention scat, possibly seatrout, and pupfishes...

One of the most versatile brackish fish is the guppy which can go into fresh, marine or brackish waters.

Guppies are nowhere near as tough as gambusia, and gambusia rip the fins off guppies and cause them to die of stress or fin rot! They may look the same, but I think gambusia are some of the toughest fish in the world!

Gambusia means "useless" in Portuguese Anolis, and another fact, they have been a epidemic since introduced to the world! They survive in double salinity than that of seawater, can live in waters 48C and they produce too quickly, they should stop the introductions because they have been destroying valuable species, ecosystems and more, they even killed off an entire species of rainbowfish! Get your facts straight before talking about these fish!

I already knew half of that, and I am very much aware of the history of introducing exotic and nonnative species of plants and animals. Though I may not be as knowledgeable about some things as you are, please refrain from outbursts. I may not know exactly how you feel about the destruction of ecosystems caused by nonnative species, I too am aware and against introducing nonnative species into the wild regardless of the circumstances...
I think the two of us may need a forum for our own discussions about these kinds of subjects, and I think I'll go ahead and make one today.
