It pains me to say, but i think that Hundai has actually done something right.
This beast of a car is expected to get 0-60 times of only a little less than 6 secs and will have a V6 engine. Hundai is picking on infinity saying that the genesis concept will be faster than the G35 at a price that is closer to a Mitsubishi Eclipse.
They are estimating that it will have over 300+ horses out of a 3.8 liter engine. and yes my favorite it will have a limited slip differential. it's most likely gonna be a 6 speed. Production is expected to begin early 2009.

I dunno if they can get 300 horse out of 3.8 liters. Hyundai is still 10 years behind on their engines.

Not to long ago i thought that Hundai could create a car that would seem cool but here it is and i looks good. So it all depends on how much effort they are willing to put into this car. I think they would be able to get 300+ horses from a 3.8 but i doubt they will risk loosing a lot of money in the process. It's truely a toss up whether or not this car is gonna be amazing or just a dud. Can't blame them for trying to apeal to the tuning crowd. I'm most concerned about how easy it will be to tune this car. but more importantly is that this car was designed to be a drifting car so how well will it drift?

Their Tau V8 gets that, the V6 could as long as it has good tech employed.

It's going to need very good tech (like variable length intake charge) that is still affordable and streetable, unless they are offering a factory tune to get that 300 horse. The stock model will probably 270 or so, if they end up doing it two ways.

To me, all I see is a Skyline rip-off. Beaing a hyundai, I'd expect a crap out on this model. I could be wrong, when I'm a wrinkled old guy, floatin' around in my hoverchair, I'll say, "The only good *hack, hack, cough*, The only good thing that conflabed company made was that G-G-G-, What was that car called?, oh, Genesis. But, of course, that was when gas wasn't $100 a gallon."
