Why yes you are. :3

Also, this is a quote. You just hit the Quote tab over a post and type after what the other person has said.

Sorry if you already knew that and I sound like a condescending loser. XD;

For simplicity's sake, I'll try to remember to make all my OOC stuff in green text.
WHOO!

Tobias Featherfire sneezed. The cold of the basement she was in was getting to her; she hadn't bothered to put on any robes. After all, she didn't have the time, or patience to deal with that sort of thing now. The streets of New Barren had been teeming with enough supernatural critters as of late, and she intended to get the inside scoop on what the ******** was going on.

She stood at the outer edge of a nearly-complete chalk circle. About a one-inch section was missing from it, and she glances at the space somewhat warily.

"Damn, I hope this works...."

She wasn't so much talking to herself as she was the circle. Though, she soon found it to be a poor conversation companion. She sighed as she walked about the circle, placing large, round, blood-red candles in five different points. If a line were connected between all the points, it would make a star.

A star in a circle. A common sight for one who practiced the Art.

Tobias set the last candle in it's place, straightening up. She closed her eyes then, muttering a single word.

"Fira."

With that, and a small flick of her wrist, the candles flickered to life, flames sending shadows dancing along the walls. She smiled, turning then to a larger circle behind her, one made on incense. The same movements were made, and the rich smell of Dragon's Blood and Rose filled the air.

"All right, then. Let's give this bad boy a ring, shall we?"

She rolled up the sleeves of her white dress shirt, tossing her red tie over her shoulder. Sure, ties weren't a usual accessory for women, but not all women were named Tobias. The woman shut her eyes again, turning back to the circle of silver. She raised her hands, palms up, almost looking like she was about to meditate.

It was close enough.

She reached deep into herself, pulling at her current emotions. She needed to, quite literally, feed her magical fire. First came fear; it was always first. Next she procured some anticipation, coupled with a significant batch of worry. For good measure, she found a smidgen of anger, throwing that into her mix.

Her fingertips buzzed with energy, and she opened her mouth to speak. Her eyes shot open.

"Bloody hell...."

She knelt down then, snatching a small piece of chalk off the ground and completing the circle. She tossed the bit, resuming her former position, eager to complete her summoning. As she willed the circle closed, she took a deep breath, and a last-second thought crossed her brain.

'I hope I get his name right.'

"Dzaremkaralazamarlorn, I summon thee!"

Excellent! Now the fun begins?

Dzaremkaralazamarlorn's call finally fell silent as he was summoned. Asleep on the winds of the Ether, he heard without hearing, and felt without touch.

He saw nothing.

In the greenish waves of haze and power, millions of burning red hands seized him in his slumber, each burning itself once or twice on his indigo armor before breaking the weakened Barrier and gaining purchase.

Entangled in a cocoon of some foreign power, he fell through the rift.

The next thing he half-sensed, he was standing. The air (there was air again) was cold through his armor, the ectoplasmic afterbirth of the Nevernever.

He felt a surge of containing power and pushed it aside with the remaining force of his liberation. Eyes closed behind cold metal, he didn't see whoever had summoned him as... she? yelped in surprise as the summoning circle was shattered with his alien influence.

All would be explained in time.

In the meantime, though, he required time and the touch of a practictioner of Art to begin his awakening.

After that... He had no idea.

On his feet but unconscious, he simply rocked backwards and heard the clash of metal on concrete. He lay still, frozen in reticence.

His quiet mind noted that none of it hurt much.

Yes.
XD

Tobias skirted backward, letting out a shriek as the thing she summoned crashed through her barrier. In a quick motion, she had placed her hands in front of her person, thumbs touching together, other phalanges spread out. She concentrated her fear and surprise into a pinpoint between her two touching thumbs, ready to shoot off some fireworks if need be.

But as she looked upon the collaped, male body, she figured it wouldn't be necessary.

The Wizard tilted her head, taking a cautious step toward the hopeful not-cadaver.

"S...sir?"

Her soft voice was gentle, almost musical. It filtered through the air like a spring breeze, cool and refreshing. But the man didn't stir.

Tobias sighed, slamming her head down into one of her palms.

"I knew I'd get the name wrong."

Red hurts my eyes. D|

Some time earlier~

Dana Fairwood woke with a start, her cheek still plastered to the inside of the bus window. Peeling herself away from the sticky glass, she sat a little straighter in her seat and readjusted her dark sunglasses. She smoothed out her blazer, shoulders tight and aching with that specific pain that comes from sleeping on a bus for several hours. God, what time was it...

Before she could even check her watch, the Greyhound jerked to a stop. The bus doors opened with a whoosh, and the surley bus driver announced their location.

It was Dana's stop. She had somehow managed to sleep through 4 hours of countryside without even knowing it. The short woman hurridly gathered her purse, dufflebag, and her umbrella and exited the bus. Now on the street proper, Dana could clearly read the sign that hung from the roof of the bus depot.

"New Barren: The Fruitful City"

Dana stared at this sign for a moment and couldn't think of anything that would make it funnier. Quickly moving on, Dana wove her way among the other former bus passengers until she reached a bench. She sat down, setting her umbrella and bag beside her, and reached into her oversized leather purse. It was an ancient leather affair, the kind of bag a 1890's mother would place her baby in before abandoning both purse and child in a train station.

Dana reached into this bag and pulled out a Magic 8-Ball.

"Okay, we made it to New Barren. Where should I go now? I'm thinking...East?"

Dana gave the plastic orb a harsh shake, then flipped it over to read the answer.

WITHOUT A DOUBT

"Alright then."

Returning the ball to her purse, Dana shouldered her belongings and began to work her way east to see what she would find.

LULZ. Nice intro.

Dzaremkaralazamarlorn didn't know what to do. The voice he heard was... different. Lilting, awkward, puzzling, definitely feminine.

It stirred him as he'd not felt in ages.

But he was still cold as stone, and just as immobile. Helpless.

Then....

He felt the warmth of life, cutting through his armor like a welding torch and softly brushed the ashen, pallid skin of his chest. The warmth suddenly withdrew, covered in ectoplasm.

As if to say "I am here!", his heart began to beat, slowly and sluggishly. In this new world, he would need it again.

The summoner skittered around, seemingly panicked as the netherworldly visitor lay supine on the floor. There was swearing and indecision all about the unseen chamber. Then, he felt himself being dragged by the feet.

Whoever it was, she (?) was strong enough to hoist him off the floor and onto some manner of platform. There was another small shriek as the touch of hands made his armor boots slowly fall away into the dust of the paths of the Nevernever.

Shortly now. Soon, now.

The dissipation of his armor, stemming from two sources, was spreading.

There was a mutter of embarrassment and annoyance, and Dzaremkaralazamarlorn found he was left alone to awaken. It made little sense. The weakening and liquidation of his shell hastened up his legs and across his chest.

Tobias stared at the man, sincerely and thoroughly confused. How could he be a being of the Nevernever? She gave a small yelp and covered her eyes as the armour-like clothing melted away into ectoplasmic goo, falling on the floor thickly. She blushed heavily, shaking her head.

"Hell's Bells. Hell's Bells, and Jupiter's Throne."

She turned from the man, still puzzled. The ectoplasm had melted away. He remained intact. He FELT human, that's for sure. Tobias had felt him out with her magical senses, and though he was COVERED in the stuff, he was a human, underneath it all. She walked briskly to a small closet, procuring from within it a large, fluffy down comforter, deep violet in colour. She took a breath, turning to face him again.

She kept her eyes on his face. Her footfalls echoed in the concrete basement, and they made her nervous. She didn't know exactly why, but did that matter? As she neared the man, she covered him quickly, tucking the blanket about him snugly.

"Well, buddy... I guess I'll find out who you are soon enough."

She stared down at him, a small smile playing upon her lips.
