Anne Frank is an inspiration to all of us. When I was in Europe, I was lucky enough to be able to go to the Anne Frank House. I never read the diary, but now I want to so badly!

It was the holocaust, I think you already know the answer xd

As a Dutchie (I'm not from the Netherlands, I'm from Belgium, just south of it, but we share the same heritage and language), Anne Frank was study material in school.
I'm surprised that there hasn't been a commercial export tot the silver screen so far, but it is an interesting story indeed.

Especially how Anne Frank writes. Didn't she call her diary "Kitty"? Secondary school seems so far away xd

There are many, many great stories about the holocaust, concentration camps, etc... From both the allied and the axis' side. Ever heard of the Italian movie "La vita e bella"?
An amazing movie, an amazing story, that isn't always sad and grim, but able of conveying Man's worst and Man's best capabilities. If you're moved by Anny Frankk, this movie will swipe you off of your feet.

When I first watched the movie, I had no idea what it was going to be about. The first part being a sappy but well executed love story never let me see the second part coming.

The way he entertained his son was also pretty moving, for me. Really a good movie, indeed.
