Lindsey went into work after all....He hated this place but it was the only job he had and he sold his soul to work here. He kept thinking of Samantha and how he couldn't retrieve her after all. But with that demon around he couldn't really do much about it unless he hired someone. And Angel....She was friends with him and those other guys. The man couldn't share. He took every girl just to throw them aside. He couldn't have them all. Samantha would be his....soon enough.

Lilah walked down the hall bemusing herself as she caught sight of Lindsey. "What's the matter?" She smiled brightly. "You look like you just got rejected. Are you finally loosing your edge? Because you know I'm not afraid to step up. So I take it things with the witch didn't go so well." She shook her head. "I wonder what the senior partners are going to think."

"I'll get her Lilah don't worry....I just need more time. In the middle of the conversation some demon claiming to be a senior partner showed up and made her run off. She'll be back....But we've got a bigger problem. Angels not going to let her anywhere near us. We've got to deal with that. Stall him long enough for her to sign the contract. She signs that contract and there is nothing he can do." He seemed to just go into his office and sit down in the chair. Staring off into space thinking of how he could get her here....even for a few seconds. He wanted to see her again.

"I'm sorry I missed that last part. Since when are we helping each other? Cause I far as I knew we are in competition with each other. Besides I have my own plans." Lilah followed him into the office. "So don't try to give me orders."

"We need her Lilah....She's better then anyone we've got here at Wolfram & Hart..." He commented sitting back in the chair. "Have you not read her file? We didn't spend months getting information on her for nothing. She was using spells to bring back puppies at the age of 5 she's a magical genius, do you even realize how valuble she is to our company?" He looked at her. "Seems your Wesley has gotten himself a wife. A Mrs.Winifred Wyndam-Pryce. That's what it says on the hospital record." He held the paper up looking it up and down.

"What." She frowned and snagged the paper from him. "So he was attacked by a wild dog." She smiled at Lindsey. "Let me guess it was a demon." She tossed the paper on the desk. "So how's he doing? I would hate for my work to go to waste."

"Sure your not into him for other reasons? We all know he's not just another project Lilah." Lindsey said getting up. "Your project seems more like a lost cause now really. He's useless to the senior partners if he's in a hospital bed, though I also here he's friends with Angel again...Hmm now how does that sound familiur. Face it Lilah, Angels getting in the way of both our projects right now." He walked over looking out the window. "Some of us can keep out projects on their feet instead of in the ward."

"Look how I corrupt people is my own business. So what if he was the one that brought Angel back. Big deal. He told me himself they weren't friends. Besides his injuries aren't serious. He's expected to be released today. So that doesn't count for being in the ward." Lilah snapped back. "I'll get him to help us. He just needs time to think about it." Lilah smiled again. "I guess you're right about one thing Lindsey. Our projects seemed to have crossed. I heard from a little birdy that Samantha is living with my project now. Now my question is... Is she your project or mine?"

"She'd never listen to you Lilah, your charm doesn't work on her. Besides if you haven't heard yet she can tell people like us from people like Angel. She's not a moron Lilah. She would never say yes to you." He walked back over sitting at the desk. "Try as you may Lilah she's still my project, and I'm the only one she'll atleast listen too. Unless you suddenly find a way to get Angel to like you he won't let you or me anywhere near us. But if you haven't heard the more someone says no the more teenagers want to do something. She'll come see me again....Angel knows he can't keep her away from me for long."

"Your not going to hurt her Lilah....I won't let you hurt her in any way....Besides, if you have Wesley hurt her in any way she'll just run off and she'll say no to both of you." Lindsey gave Lilah a suspious look. "You won't harm her in any way, and neither will anyone working for you."

Lilah laughed and turned to look at him. "Do you think I am that stupid? I meant I will have Wesley bring her to us. Unharmed. You see she listens to him. Wereas it would take you months to gain her trust. Wesley already has it in spades. Give me a few hours and she'll be in our office." Lilah continued to smile. "Besides I have a bigger fish to fry. Samantha's just not a threat to me. I don't want her dead."

"Just wait tell Angel and them beat us to all those summoning and she's already taken them apart. She knows how things work....I'm surprised she hasn't used her magic to infiltrate here yet....She's not going to believe the pedy 'We've done nothing wrong' or 'It's just business'...And with what Angels probably told her she will say no to Wesley too..." He sighed sitting back in the chair....this was...unexpected.

"Did you forget that she trusted Wesley to come pick her up? That she's staying with him at his house. Believe me... She knows he betrayed Angel so I think I'll take my chances." Lilah said before walking out of the office. "Have a nice day Lindsey." Lilah frowned as she stalked down the hall. She was furious. She would show them. All of them. "I'll rip Angel Investigations apart if it's the last thing I do... Starting with Mrs. Winifred Wyndam-Pryce." Lilah snapped as she past a few scared looking employees and walked into her office. She picking up the phone she dailed a number. "It's me Lilah... I have a job for you."

A few minutes later Lilah stormed into her office. "That b***h." She walked over to her desk and picked up the phone again. "Hey... Its me again. Is our deal still set? Good... Meet me in my office in two hours. We're going to cast a spell." Lilah smiled.
