Mist World:

The mist is the thickest out here, and you can't see very far, only silhouettes after so long. Some streets may be streaked with blood, all are dangerous however. Empty cars, engines rusted and destroyed, sit idle on the sides of the street, and convenient stores are locked up tight, as if the entire town took their time, and abandoned this palce. It's cold, and a light snow is falling from the sky--the air here is thin, making it hard to breath...and something's in the mist.

Other World:

Darkness...as thick as the mist, you can't see very far in front of you, and even beams of light seem swallowed up by the black. The streets are now either broken stone and wire, or metal links though quite sturdy. Everything metal is rusted and the air smells of rotten meat, and blood. Something is hiding in the shadows, watching, hungry.

Caitlin loved the scent immediately. She loved the smell of a fresh morning, moistened by the wet mist that blanketed the town of Silent Hill. It was cold, colder than it should've been for this time of year, and instead of the usual rain, it was snowing. She thought of what a shame it was that she didn't dress better for the occasion...other than that, the town seemed quant and to itself...in fact, no one came out to greet(bother) her when she walked down the middle of its seemingly abandoned, and appropriately cracked and shattered streets.

She turned off of Simmon's St. onto Koontz, according to the sign, which was broken and rusted as if it'd been the last priority on a street crews long list of jobs to do. It was okay though, in a lot of ways, she was broken, just like that sign. She could hear someone walking up ahead, saw them vanish into the mist not too far off from her, turning toward a silhoutte(?) of a building.

"Hey!" She shouted out before she'd given it much thought. She didn't really want to talk to anyone, but part of her, the last part that she counted really "alive" wanted to at least know there was a human presence here. Maybe, she humored, it was really her pessimistic nature that desired it. She sped up walking.

It was cold, freezing actually, and Tony had never so much as even seen the snow, not where he had lived. He lived where it was always sunny and always warm and you know what, he liked it that way. Anything but this--the cold town of Silent Hill chilled him to his bones and he shivered as he stepped up to the steps of the hospital. Every other place seemed closed down, totally isolated, but the door here was cracked open, propped open actually, by a small, crumpled soda can.

"Nice..." He mumbled sarcastically, then was surprised by someone shouting in the distance--he just turned and waited for the stranger to approach, and gradually he made out the image of a young girl--though not much younger than himself--stepping out of the mist and light falling snow. For a moment, he was suddenly very happy to be where he was, seeing the petite girl step toward him--but when he saw that she was a goth, a freak, he had second thoughts about that.

"Hey...you live here? I'm a little lost..." He tried anyway.

Josh looked around. The fog was so thick, the snow was unusually cold and it was quiet... Almost too quiet. He had never seen anything like this before. He started to run towards hin unknown goal, but after a while he started to wonder if this was a good idea. ''Finding an unknown woman in a ghost town covered in fog is harder than finding... Ah, whatever...''

As he turned a corner, he saw two figures, a man and a younger girl. He walked over to them. ''Excuse me?''

Caitlin groaned when she heard not one, but two voices speak up.

Should've kept my big mouth shut...

However, she couldn't help but wonder what kind of people lived in a town like this, if they did in fact live here that is. She was just nearing the man on the steps to Alchemilla, forcing a thin-lipped smile; he was a muscular man by the looks of it, his skin a dark, chocolate brown, and he certainly looked steriotypical though something told her he wasn't, then she heard the man from behind. Excuse me?

"You're excused." She said in a low voice, voice dripping with more than a little sarcasm. Now there was a handsom individual, and she made a bet with herself then and there that he was also a stupid one. But that didn't stop her from paying closer attention all of the sudden.

"You guys live here? Where is everybody?"

Josh shrugged. ''I was just gonna ssk you the same question...'' He looked around, trying not to make eye contact with the girl. ''I'm... looking for someone... A woman.''

Caitlin was absentmindedly chewing on one of her black-painted fingernails while she replied.

"You found one." She smirked and lowered her hand, placed it onto her hip. "This woman got a name? Decription?" She glanced back to the man behind her, then to Josh again. She was trying her best to keep from shiverring from the cold.

Josh sighed. He didn't know if the woman from his dream even had a name. ''Well, I don't know her name, but... She's got grey-ish hair, she's tall, pale, wearing a blue dress and... I think she's waiting for me here... In Silent Hill...''

Now Caitlin was a bit confused, her brow arched to express it. Then she was chewing on her nail again, obviously making no progress. She thought about it for a while, then, gesturing around the empty street she said.

"Well, sounds like she stood you up." A shudder rippled through her muscles, she hugged her arms tightly around herself.

''I... I saw her in a dream... She told me she was waiting for me!'' He looked around at the different buildings, but none of them resembled then ones in his dream. ''That's all I know, ok?!''

Things were starting to sound a little crazy, which was a little more than Tony had bargained for. On top of that, he was freezing--he'd dressed in a simple ball shirt, and his jeans were the warmest part of his outfit. He interrupted the conversation, stopping the somewhat sarcastic teen girl before she bombarded the man with either laughter, or more question. It was now that he realized why he never really liked teens that much, even when he was one of them.

"Hey, can we discuss this inside, I'm freezin' out here and, maybe we can get some answers from hospital staff." He nodded toward the hospital doors, gave the two one more glance, then walked inside without another word, eager for warmth.

Josh looked up at the hospital. ''Ok, I guess so, but It seems kind of...'' The windows were all dark, one of them was broken into pieces. ''I don't know... Abandoned?''

Caitlin was cold, but she had no intention of following those two inside. She had exploring to do, and besides, she doubted if they'd find anyone. This town was living up to the name "Silent" on whole new levels. She didn't mind that of course.

She watched as the two entered the Hospital, thought about following, then started off down the street instead, taking deep, appreciative breaths of fresh air as she went. It was mid way to the destination she hadn't planned to head for, that the memories hit her again like a ton of bricks. It almost hurt physically, and she thought she could feel the wounds under her sleeves begin to pulsate...she glanced down, blood was coming through, the bandages were too old. She glanced back at the hospital, then down at her arm.

Too late now...

The lonely figure of Johnny stumbled out of his wreaked car. He soon composes himself as he shakily makes it to his feet. Owww...my ******** head... He thinks to himself as he looks around for the first time. He sees a thick mist and a long road. He also sees that it is snowing ash as he catches one in his hand and rubs it on his palm. "Good thing I didn't stick my tongue out.." He mumbled to himself as he looked inside his car to see his guitar case in tact. He smiled to himself as he withdrew it and started on down the road.

As he walked, he saw blood splatters every now and then, even a shadow or two. Feeling uneasy about the sights, he speed up his pace as he saw the outline of a town. Shaking the ash from his hair, he stared at the town. He expected to see the boogie man pop out at him from a building. It would seem to fit in his mind for this ******** goofy place...

Caitlin wasn't too surprised to see someone stumbling through the foggy streets just up ahead. Part of her knew that some peace and quiet was too good to be true, so she just waved. The person didn't seem to reply, just kept moving in her direction, a little more quickly now. She rolled her eyes, unphased.

"Hey, there a problem?" No reply, now she was a little more worried. But that didn't stop her from taking a few more steps, out of curiosity, toward the person. There was something not quite right about the way he moved, the way he jerked and trembled whenever he took a moments pause. She squinted into the mist, now the thing could be seen more clearly, was only about 50 feet away, and though it was still very obscure, she could see it wasn't human.

It was something else, humanoid, but it had no distinct features, like a person wrapped in their own skin, ribs or arms struggling under that rotten layer to break free. She cursed under her breath, took a step back.

"You gotta' be kidding me..." She didn't stick around, she turned and ran full speed in the other direction, repeating those words, her heart beating heavily in her chest. "You gotta' be kidding me..."
