Mist World:

The Hospital is empty, but stretchers still litter the hallways, blocking off some halls entirely. The tv in the reception hall is on, and filled with static. The floors are scuffed and dingy, as are the walls--some doors are broken open, spilling mist into the hallways, while others are locked and hold fast. The elevator works, but won't go to the basement.

Other Side:

The walls are burnt brown and black, the tv's now busted out from heat. The air is thicker now somehow and it's difficult to breathe without coughing, like a thick smoke is in the air, though you can't see it. Now deadly demon nurses and demented doctors roam the halls looking for their next patient. The halls vanish into blackness and it's hard to see without a light--the elevator has an extra floor, and the basement is now accesible.

It was empty inside the hospital--no staff working the front desk, no doctors or nurses rushing this way and that to attend to one of their own, individual patients among many others, no patients strolling down the hall making their way down the seemingly endless halls to find a vending machine or remember where they are...nothing, and no one, it was abandoned.

The tv was on, and it gave him a little hope that the place had life within. He stepped up to the reception, leaned over to see the patient list--two names were on it, familiar names...his parents? He looked around, then glanced back at the paper, the names were different.

"Creepy place..." He stepped away and made his way down the foggy hall. "Anyone here?"

Josh decided to follow the other man into the hospital. It was dark and almost too quiet in there. For one moment, he thought he saw something moving in a corner. ''Hello? Anyone there?''

Alice felt lost, that was the only word for it, like a small child that had been separated from their mother in a mall. She had come to silent hill that morning, but she found no one there....just no one. Deciding to go the hospital to seek someone, if anyone was there, or atleast suplies, she had found just empty darkness as she wandered the seemingly unending halls, pushing gurneys aside from time to time just to get through, it was like a jungle of old medical supplies.
"Just let me out of here...." Alice thought, as she looked around, so far she had covered a good chunk of the first floor, right now she was siting inside a old room working on a new plan. The room she was in looked like a operating room, as if that wasnt creepy enuff for someone who had a fear of hospitals, but oddly enuff it had the cleanest and safest to sit on looking couch.

Tony was nearing the end of the hallway when he heard the man from before, shouting from the reception. He didn't reply, he didn't see a point in replying, but he intended to head back to the man when he found someone. Currently, he was facing an elevator, that was quite old from the looks of things, and he wondered if it still worked. He glanced back down the hallway--no one was there, only the mist that seemed to invade every inch and crevice of this town, inside and out--then hit the button for the elevator. Nothing happened...seconds passed...then at last, the doors opened. He stepped inside, and hit the 2nd floor button.

Alice jumped and let out a small squeek as she heard what sounded like a elevator a few halls down. She had found out they worked pretty quickly, but something about not being on the ground floor in a place like this seemed like a bad idea to her. She doubted anything like the boogie man would jump out at her...or she hoped, but as Alice continued to tell herself, she was just over reacting. "I've got to stop this, I'm not going to be attack or anything." she thought firmly, deciding to go see how was using the elevator. Peek out in to the hall, she glanced back, and grabbed a scalpel for just in case, befor heading back to the lobby, to see if anything had changed, then see about the elevator.

The hospital doors creaked open, allowing a man to walk through. He shut them, then turned and loosed a small sigh. It seemed to be relatively safe in here, and even with the crowbar in hand, he didn't feel safe. Well, not really safe. The misty exterior of the hospital obscured his vision too much, it just wasn't the best place to be.

So he sighed, rubbing a hand through his dirty blond hair, and unzipped his black jacket to reveal a white shirt underneath. He glanced around the lobby, then leaned against the crowbar he carried and took a moment to relax. From the way he was slumped, it almost appeared that he was a male version of a bobblehead nurse, dressed in black, almost ready to bash someone's skull in... But no, those didn't exist.

Alice clutches the scalpel tightly as she looked around the corners cautiously, the next turn was to the lobby, the most unsecured part of the place. Alice's heart pounded in her chest as she slowly stepped around the corner in to the lobby, she choked back a scream just bearly wen she saw what looked like a monster of some form, but she let out a huge sigh wen she saw it was just a human. But of course. She told herself.
"um...excuse me....Do you work here..?" Alice asked shyly stepping forward, the scalpel still clutched tight, not that it would do much against a crow bar, but better then fist should a fight brake out. 'I've been in this place for a few hours now...and the town itself since early morning, but I cant find anyone..."

"Huh?" asked the man with a start, as his head jerked up and he looked around. He finally spotted Alice and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Uh, no ma'am. I don't work here- just stopped in for a quick rest." He paused, glancing her over. Once again shifting his weight to his feet, he held the crowbar loosely in his left hand, the right occupied with scratching at his hair.

"But I have been here a while and I know my way around a bit, if that'll help," he offered. A while, as in a couple years. But the town seemed to constantly shift: He only had a rudimentary idea of where things were.

Alice smiled. "I dont know anything about this town, i know the first floor of this place pretty well, but havnt found anything, or anyone." Alice replied sheepishly. "Is this place abandoned, I have found anyone anywhere......but it seems like it wasnt left to long ago in some places...and then in others, it seemed like its been decades." Alice shook her head and let out a sigh. "I sound pretty crazy dont I?"

"Abandoned? No, no, not abandoned," Ryan exclaimed, "But the population's certainly gone down. There are a few people I've seen, and some other... things. I don't know exactally what they are, I keep my sidtance- but I've seen things that aren't exactally human." Another pause as he now leaned forward on his crowbar, using it as a makeshift cane.

"To anyone else, yeah. All of this is crazy talk. But this place is creepy like that. It constantly changes, it is abandoned but not, some places still have electricity while others don't..."

Alice swallowed hard and looked around. "I'm terrified of this place.....The second I started geting close I wanted to run and hide.....but thats why I'm here. I chase storms...they scare me, a single bolt of lightning could kill me, the winds could tear part houses, its all so terrifying....but thats why I'm here, this town is the perfect storm." Alice said, looking at the mist spilling all around them, smiling like the calm befor the storm in a mad mans head.

"Terrified... That's a strong word," Ryan shrugged, "I wouldn't say it, for myself. Scared, yes. Terrified... No. Not yet, at least. A perfect storm, you say? Sounds like something Ted would blurt out." He smiled, "Ted... Well, I'm an author. I write stories, and Ted's one of my main characters. He loves saying things like that, even though it gets on most people's nerves..."

He stood back upright, and cracked his neck. "Wanna see if there're any other people?"

Don't look down; don't look
Into the eyes of the world beneath you

Cybil made her way down the hospital's deserted hallways, surrounded on either side by grime and god knows what other kinds of filth covered those walls. She turned a corner quickly and smashed her thigh against a carelessly-placed stretcher on the joining hall. Swearing loudly, she gripped the injured area before hobbling off towards the lobby.

Don't look down; you'll fall down
You'll become their sacrifice
