Come and post ideas, and lets see if some could fit one place, but also be considered the other. I don't know, the RP idea post disappeared and I didn't delete it... Here's a small idea: the story for it at least.

Werewolves

The date is set over two hundred years into the future, 2209. The government had found a way to create soldiers from the nearly dead bodies of humans and animals. To keep the human bodies animated, they gave portions of radiation to animal cells and injected them into the dying human form.

Any wars that came along were won by the US of A, and the country was able to save many more lives with the radiated beasts. Fast forward to four generations later, just over one hundred years. There are no more wars, or at least none above ground. The government created a bill to kill off the soldier beasts and their offspring.

The younger beasts had learned to take the shape of normal humans, and the only way they could be shown apart were from a particular birth mark. This mark could vary in size, but is always in the same spot, the collar bone. Female bests have found that make-up covers the mark perfectly, but some have been born without this mark.

This newer generation has all of the traits from the older generation, with exception of the mark, and have found ways to survive past their parents. Many have formed clans or packs, and others have found ways to live without the help of anybody.

One clan was born with the gift of technology and has fused themselves with computer parts to change anything around them. Another has found a way to control a small herd of humans, and call themselves the new 'Mafia' in many cities. A third clan has found that mother earth is the only being to worship, and have created their own church for all to enjoy. Lastly, there's the clan that other call 'The Dead.' This clan is very careful of who they work with and what they do, but no one knows what exactly they do.

The government had picked up the word from text nearly 600 years before, and had decided to call the beasts 'Werewolves.' Because of the shifting powers of the quick evolution, the werewolves were able to take 5 forms: Human, Wolf/Human Mix, Full werewolf form (What we're used to seeing on tv), Dire wolf (Ice Age/Original wolves), and straight up wolves.

In order to survive in this world, you must find another wolf to breed with, or at least a human with a strong will power. Many different breeds of beasts, such as: cattle, felines, and even equine, have been killed off (So none of them). Only the strength of the wolf in beasts have kept them alive. Werewolves are truly known alive, but there's an exception to those of the water (I'll allow only one). Will the technology keep the beings alive, or will humans find another way to kill off the Werewolves?

Ok, I'm gonna TRY and make an RP. I've played Final Fantasy and should know how to make stories interesting, but as far as starting one goes.... I'll try.

Mythical RP

Place and Storyline
There are manors that lay high in the mountains. So high, it's almost as though they can touch the moon at Midnight. The manors are spread out through out the mountain range.
It's during the time that Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, Angels, Elves, and Humans capable to have powers, are finally aware of each others existence. Most want to fight while others don't mind, and love happens on rare occasions.
Though the world is chaotic, there are still many things to do...

Character to Choose From
Vampire
Werewolf
Demon
Elves
Angels
Human

I think they are both good, but the werewolf one (sorry LDK) probably would be better... I mean we have had so many regular fantasy rps, i think we would need a really well made rp rather than an open rp for high fantasy. I'm not saying it's bad, I'm saying add a little more to make it differnt and it might be really good.

I gotz a few questions for the werewolf one, please pardon my n00bishness:

The rp takes place in 2209 or generations after 2209?
Are they werewolves werewolves or are they considered werewolves? In other words, are they only wereWOLVES or other things? I have to finish a paper today so I'm a little crazy today...

Well it was my first one after... *Thinks for a moment*... about a year. Minus the simple ones I know how to make. I just thought I had something there.

Sorry, my fault for not adding the actual RP date. The date is maybe around 2314, maybe 2317 if you'd like. I really should add this to my story: The government had picked up the word from text nearly 600 years before, and had decided to call the beasts 'Werewolves.' Because of the shifting powers of the quick evolution, the werewolves were able to take 5 forms: Human, Wolf/Human Mix, Full werewolf form (What we're used to seeing on tv), Dire wolf (Ice Age/Original wolves), and straight up wolves.

Like I said, I got this idea from an actual written RPG that I joined up in not too long ago...

Star Wars: The New Jedi

It's been thirty years since the death of Darth Vader, and our hero, Luke Skywalker, has died from an unknown illness. This plague has been slowly spreading about nearly a decade now, and it's origins have been questionable; until one fateful sighting.

A ball had appeared in a deserted portion of dead space at the edge of the galaxy. The ones who had gone to seek it out, had only found that this ball was a giant mass of garbage from a distant planet.

This distant planet had sent the garbage into space, but had failed in shooting it into the sun. After the launch, a satellite had come back from deep space, bringing the wonders of the midochlorian. With these new wonders came the powers of the Force. Nearly all mainstream religions had died off nearly 60 years after the Force had appeared.

With the Force came great good and bad beings. The bad had nearly been completely killed off until a ship had come from seemingly no where. On this ship were the Twi-lek (The blue beings with brain-tails) and their like. The natives gawked at the newcomers, and quickly killed them. It's been twenty years and now this planet, Earth, has finally made it to the distant galaxy of the future after a madman sent away many humans just so he could blow up the planet.

Many human refugees live on many planets, becoming the new Jedi, and the new law. This story takes place 30 years after 'The Return of the Jedi', and as the new illness spreads through the planets, only high midochlorian carriers are able to last longer than others. There are nearly no signs of the illness, just a purple mark over the heart shows it off. It's contagious, and has wiped out nearly all of a couple unnamed species of alien.

Found this: Star Wars Quiz

It's a cute little quiz I found. It tells you who you should be if you were in the Star Wars universe...

I took the quiz and I got Boba Fett. I'm a Bounty Hunter. I like him, he was one of my favorite villains.

Hallo again, guys.

So, I agree that something with a point could be a lot cooler than an open-ended fantasy RP. If you guys would be open to a little bit of research on your own time, I think I could dream up a mythology-based RP. Based probably on Norse mythology, or maybe Greek mythology. I've actually been reading a bunch of mythology (almost exclusively Norse) recently, so I think I could get something decent up and running. If, of course, you're interested.

I know all about Greek mythology, and a good amount of Norse, but I think it's time for a second mythology based RP. I had one, and it didn't do well...

Postponing Ragnarök

What if there is no such thing as the truth, or at least the truth as you think of it?

What if every lie distorts reality, as it tries to accommodate for what had been said? What if, just as Lenin had said, a lie told often enough becomes truth?

What if every deity ever worshipped was not, simply, an invisible man in the sky, but a living breathing person, capable of emotion and great deeds? What if the deities still live among us?

What if they're married? What if they've had children?

What would you say if I told you that you are the child of a god, like Heracles or Sigfried? What if I wasn't lying?

The Gods are real. They are very real. Every single one of them mingles with people on a daily basis. They live in cities, in rural districts, on islands and in lakeside cabins. They marry and procreate, and grieve as their spouses pass on. Some don't, though. Some are not heterosexual (though Zeus certainly is). These Gods and Goddesses adopt, when the mood suits them. They care for these children as though they were normal parents (except that they need never worry about money for necessities, such as food and housing). To some of their most promising children, adopted or no, they reveal their divine nature and develop a similar nature in their offspring. These divine offspring go on to accomplish great things, with varying degrees of fame.

And then one day the Gods disappeared. Their children came home to empty houses, or, if the God was out on an errand, they simply did not come back. Some divine children contacted the authorities, simply to find out that, legally, their parents did not exist.

And now, things are starting to go wrong. The lightning, which gods like Zeus and Thor had been able to control, was striking sporadically, sometimes out of a clear blue sky. And it was malicious. The ocean, the domain of Poseidon and Susano-o, was sinking boats and drowning beachgoers. Loki's fire, already barely kept in check was raging out of control, consuming firemen and houses as easily as strips of paper. Wars are spiraling out of control without Odin, Hachiman, and Ares to provide decisive victories, and civilians are as often killed as the actual fighters.

Evangelicals say that God, known amongst the divine as Allah or Yaweh, is angry with homosexuality and is punishing us. Perhaps this is true, for speech distorts reality. Scientists blame global warming, and politicians the other parties. New Age hippies call everything evidence of extraterrestrials. Neo-Malthusianists say that the earth was reacting to too many people on its surfaces. As was already stated, these all may be contributing factors to the goings-on, but the primary, deciding reason is that the Gods and Goddesses have disappeared.

The solution is simple and twofold. Someone has to control these things. Someone must tame the lightning, guide the fire, calm the seas, stop the wars. Whether this is to be achieved by finding the Gods and returning them from wherever they have gone (willingly or no) to their rightful spots, or the self-aware Children of the Gods must expand their powers and replace them.

And thence arises the threefold problem of how these Children are to become aware of the nature of the problem, the solution, and the means to achieve the solution.

So yeah. That's about what I've got. I could probably revise it, if needs be, and make it more open-ended or more guided. The one thing that I'd like out of this is that each person do a little research on the gods from which their characters were spawned (or by whom they were adopted), so that you know roughly how to play the character and the legends that guide their parents' nature.

So.

Any ideas on how to make it better?
