I got Crisis Core! Yeah!
W00T FOR FFVII! ZACK RULES, BEACHES!
(Though to get it, I had to buy a PSP. It didn't come with a memory card, so I can't save it. Now I have to find a PSP memory card... before the battery runs out. It's an epic race against time - to Staples...)

I got birthday monies. That's the only reason I could afford it! But the memory card was still $25, so now I'm totally broke.
But, DUDE! It's the beginning of the Compilation! I had to get it.

What if I held a gun to my head?
Quick question... if someone with Multiple Personality Disorder threatens suicide, is it a hostage situation? >.>

Ooh, philosophical question! O.O I think it would depend on the severity of the disorder. Are the alternate personalities pronounced enough to be considered separate entities?

For sake of the argument, let's say "yes." Also, they are both fully aware of each other.

In that case, I'd say that yes, it becomes a hostage situation. 3nodding
My next question was going to be whether or not they knew of each other. If they didn't, then it'd just be like a criminal being chased by the cops threatening to jump off a building or something, rather than a hostage situation because the only personality that he would be aware of is his own.

Too true. Now, what happens if they aren't distinct, and one knows what the other is doing but is powerless to stop it? Would it be the same as if something possesed the person and threatened suicide?
I'm getting really random thoughts today...

Yeah, I would think so. So the innocent one is aware of the criminal or vice versa?

The criminal knows of the innocent, but the innocent only knows about the criminal because of what people have told him/her (as well as gaps in memory).

What if they aren't totally distinct; they don't call themselves by different names, but their entire personalities and ways of thinking are completely different. The person vaguely knows that his/her personality is split, but not that it's a separate entity.

It's a bit harder to call when you put it like that...
