I accidentally dropped in way to many pellets into the water today during feeding. My doorbell rang & I went to answer it, but when I got back Bubbles had eaten all the food before I had time to remove it. (He's a fatty razz )
Now his gut is all puffed up. Will he be ok? I was planning on fasting him for a few days to see if he gets better.
Thoughts?

Skip the next meal if you don't have any frozen peas at your house. If you do, next time you feed him microwave a pea in a small dish of water for twenty seconds or long enough to heat it up. Mush out the insides (don't use the outer shell) and use a toothpick to feed betta bite-sized pieces to him. It'll help ease any constipation.
I think Bubbles'll be fine. He probably thought that it was Tanks-giving.
Hehehe. TANKs-giving. Giddit? mrgreen

Starve him one to two days. Normally they recover soon enough. Also, warmer water may help him (I think it livens them up more, ergo making them move more, ergo digest the food more quickly.) Never tried the pea trick myself though - never had any at hand when I actually needed them.
