A large vision screen lights up and a computer generated women appears and begins to talk, her tone is calm and soothing as were her looks.
"It is the year 3045 and a new advancement in technology called the Nanocipher has set a new era in the human race. Now newspapers, shows, and even small bits of knowledge can all be downloaded into your head all thanks to Renault Ventre."
The women's image is interrupted and instead is the image of a dimly lit room and one scrawny man who had to be Renault. He was desperately running about the room pulling files and typing things on computers before he ran up so you could see the terror in his face."I have done something horrible and you all must listen before it is too late. I told them, no, no time for excuses. The transmitter is more then a device for memory, you can gain skills from it, amazing skills like shooting lighting from your hands or melting steel. I have been giving the alliance military genetic enhancements for years now but this time they have asked too much, and I gave it to them. I created an AI which they have linked to bombs. But now they have evolved passed my predicted limits and they are launching at every key point on the world. So run, go, before it’s too...My god, your all doomed...I hope that you get to safety for this warning will be the only good thing I have ever done."The transmission cut and everything went black, the only technology left standing was in the brains of the people.

The Nanocipher The Nanocipher is a hole in every person's head that was born before the man made apocalypse that allows interfacing into the human brain. Every enhancement to the human body such as being able to control adrenaline or the ability to regain the use of dead limbs have all been created by Captain Renault and have been distributed to all the hospitals in the world. But He also did research on genetic modifications to the brain through the Nanocipher which allowed tech magic as it is called. The soldiers could now lift a thousand pounds or heal their comrades by simply touching them. The possibilities were endless, but now those powers have caused chaos. For in this new world people do kill for money, they kill for technology by cutting off heads and absorbing the technology using the instruments found from broken down hospitals.
Such is the world now...

History Overveiw
2045-World unifies into the "Alliance"
2060-Alliance military begins its war on crime which has banded together to form the crime union.
2070-Nanocipher was created
2090-Human DNA decoded
2095-Humans began downloading entertainment through Nanocipher
3018-Renault Ventre was born, brain scans show that he was a prodigy.
3028-Renault begins high school at age ten
3036-Renault graduates from MIT at the top of his class and taken into the military
3038-Renault promoted to captain and creates several new genetic modifications.
3040-Alliance suddenly gains a foothold on crime union, strange happenings reported.
January 12, 3045-Several thousand smart bombs are launched leaving every city decimated, unknown number of survivors.

Humanity will always survive...
Now the question most are wondering by now is where the hell do you start? Well I guess I should answer that question before you all explode with suspense. As it is there is no contact with the outside world since not only are they destroyed but yeah, intercontinental communications just happened to disappear when the bombs hit. Only hand radios are left and they barely work even though they are more technologically advanced then the ones in our day and age. So to make things simple we are in America, or what's left of it and there are other states yes but to make the rp easier to do I confined it to New York. There are three cities that have populations larger then fifty.
New York City: Although the city was decimated the soldiers that got inside the bunkers at their base survived and now hold the city against raiders and are the privileged few who have guns. The population is only five hundred men and women.
The Succubus' Den: The raider stronghold and overall hideaway for criminals. It is inside of an old military bunker that is fairly hard to take down because of its defenses. Most raiders carry swords but the higher ranking officers have military grade weapons. The current population is one thousand making it the largest city in New York.
The Village of Silence: Near a large forest slightly north of New York city there is a town. It has mostly wooden homes but no basic city comes without its secrets. Every citizen is either a tech magic master or user and although it may come under heavy attack from raiders most don't even take away two citizens. The city’s population is two hundred.
You may start at which ever one calls to you the most, unless you are a raider in which case you will have to be in the Succubus' den.
Weapons
Since the world has in fact ended you will not see many guns and if you do they belong to the soldiers protecting New York City. Plasma swords are abundant since they seem to survive anything, even explosions it seems. Pistols are also simple to find but know that all guns now use laser rounds and they can be deflected by plasma blades and no I didn't want to copy star wars I just wanted to make it fair.

Weapons: Raiders have mostly improvised weapons but it is not uncommon to see raiders with plasma swords and pistols but really only the best raiders have real military grade guns.
Powers/Abilities: Sadly most tech powers are closed to raiders but on the bright side raiders are sick bastards so you can steal powers from NPC's during a raid, but only if you can avoid being killed by soldier or mage fire power.
Belongings: This does not mean weapons, it simply means list the stuff that you keep either at all times or just at home. For example a pocket knife or a canteen, things like that.

Renault limped along a stretch of road near New York City. He did not appear to be injured although the buzz of his mechanical limbs was slightly noticeable. Then came the raiders who often prayed on wanderers like Renault on their motorcycles. It was a group of seven and they parked their bikes in front of Renault next to some bushes which were fairly large. One of them, a fairly large man with horrid teeth and millions of tattoos came forward. He had to be their leader but Renault knew better then to get into the affairs of the soldiers. Renault smirked under his cloak and then spoke like a very frail old man."Please don't harm me, I am simply a survivor trying to find his way to shelter."Lucky for him the fools hadn't noticed his energy cane which he forgot to make look like a stick. The leader came forward and took out a rather large plasma sword and he was about to slice Renault before his head was blown off by a sniper. It rolled on the ground and his body hit the floor with a rather loud thud. The six other began to look around in shock but this didn't save them from the twelve soldiers who ran out of the bushes and shot them down like the animals they were. Renault continued to walk toward the New York settlement and the soldiers followed him."I will take what I need and supply the rest of you with some new updates I have created, tell Carlo this and he will be in a fairly good mood so run along little soldiers."To them Renault's orders were better since he could have killed those seven men without breaking a sweat. So the soldiers responded with "yes my sage" and marched to the settlement while Renault took his time stopping along the way to gather various new plant specimens that had grown out of the apocalypse.

She tapped on the desk with a pen while looking out the window. “I wonder if the soldier's missions are going well and I wish I was out in the field right now,” Kimico thought. She turns from the window with a worried face of doubt that her family and son are alive and surviving out there. Kimico shakes her head and gets up from her desk while stretching her back. Then walks out the room to see if everyone is doing okay with a fake smile on her face which was for not to cast doubt or worry to people.

Renault entered the settlement and was greeted by smiles from young and old alike for it meant he would share his stories and supply upgrades to the soldiers for protection. Some even bowed and hailed him as the sage which is what everyone knew him as but the high ranking soldiers. Renault limped to the spire where he would meet with Carlo if not Kimico. Once inside an officer closed the blast door and Renault made his energy cane go back inside his arm which showed now that he had taken off the ragged cloak. Some of the soldiers looked in awe at the fact that his entire body but his torso seemed to be metal. BUt no one knew for sure since he was wearing combat pants and an assault shirt. Renault noticed one officer who seemed to be wondering about something but for some reason couldn't stop staring at Renault and he spoke, quite irritated with her."Yes my genitalia is still quite attached now go make yourself busy before I crush your damn head with my metal fist!"The sage never would have said this but because he was now Captain Renault again he had decided that he could release his pent up anger. He walked inside an elevator and it stopped at the executive level. An officer escorted him to Kimico's office and he entered closing the door behind him."Hello Kimico, still haven't heard anything of your family but there will always be hope don't worry my child. So, has Carlo gone on another mission or is he just being a royal a** as usual and plotting another useless attack on the raiders. I tell him to just hold this damn settlement and they will run out of supplies eventually but does he listen no! Oh and I have several new updates for your snipers and that medic update Carlo has been giving me hell for. Is there anything I can do to help with your abilities?"Renault put two nano cipher interfaces down on her desk and sat down in a chair opposite smiling at her.

Kimico returned to her office after doing her rounds to make sure everything is in order. She plopped down in her sit at her desk. She takes a hold of the photo frame which held a picture of her smile son. While rubbing her fingers over the photo she was not paying attention to the person coming into her office until he started speaking. “Captian… Renault your alive sir,” Kimico says in shocked as her eyes widen at the surprise. “I know I should not worry and hope that my family and son are alive. Carlo has just come back from a mission and is now plotting a new battle plan. He never listens to anyone sir he is just that stubborn. Please enlighten me with the sniper info captain.” Kimico says happily and smiles half hardily Renault. She thinks about Renault lest question and sighs, “There are many things that need to be update or change sir. My stealth and quickness is alright and I use that majority, then my strength ability is adequate for what I do because I mostly relay on my quickness. But my elemental powers only work when I am doing some type of marital arts forms with it. Then my healing abilities are okay but I can only heal a few people and at most about ten, sir. But you do not have to do anything for me, sir.” She talks like she was talking to a friend not as an officer.

Renault had known her family because, as the leading cipher scientist he had given her these powers and spoken with her and her family on several occasions because of this. He sighed for a moment thinking about what he could do and then he decided to speak as plainly as possible."Well for one I added in a reflex package in the sniper update but sadly only those with eye implants are going to get the most out of it which basically means you should give it to your best snipers which undoubtedly have eye implants. As for you I am sorry to say I am not sure how the elemental powers came to be, it was actually an accident that I created them although I have the same powers. But your healing powers I can enhance, it won't compare with mine but I can make you able to heal more people but it will be costly for it will take its toll on your body so I wouldn't recommend more then one hundred people a day at the most and try to fix them up with conventional means because you will need your strength for your elemental powers. Everything that you need will be in that nano interface for the medics, tell them the same thing I told you. Oh and I found some new flowers near the settlement that I have never seen before. I will need to use the database and log this. But tell Carlo that it is to help people and not for personal reasons, he does hate it when I use the computer for non-military things as he says."Renault stood and and he was about to leave but he felt that she was going to say something else so he paused for a moment.

Kimico nods her head at Renault and actually gives him a genuine smile, “I will give the reflex package update to my snipers as soon as I can. I understand about the elemental powers part,” Kimico says partly seriously and light hearted when she hear about the elemental powers. “At least I can heal more people because not that many can heal major juries with that much effort like I can. We have been using conventional healing methods in the infirmary. I will tell the medic about the nano interface when I get over there.” Kimico says calmly. “New flowers?” Kimico questions him with a puzzled looked “I see you may use the database as needed my friend. I will tell Carlo that is for medical research and that it benefits the people.” Kimico watches as Renault walks to the door but stops him, “Renault wait, thank you for the advice and what I should do. I am just worried about my family and son but most of all everyone here. Also welcome back my friend. Oh yeah I almost forgot… Your going to need this for going into the database,” Kimico says full of emotion and kindness as gets up and hands Renault a nanochip card.

Renault waved his right hand and a bouquet of strange looking flowers of all sorts of colors and shapes materialized. He smiled and spoke again with a tone that was quite unlike Renault."I call them life flowers for they show that even through death new life emerges. Once I record them I will leave them on your desk unless I find they have any properties worth noting."Renault walked to the elevator again and went into the data room to record his findings.
