People keep shouting "GANGURO IS DEAD, ONLY MANBA EXISTS NOW." Are they really that different? Maybe no one uses the word "ganguro" in Japan anymore or something, but isn't it basically two words for the same thing?
I mean sure, the style has evolved a little. The hair has gotten bigger and brighter, the makeup has become better blended with fewer stickers, etc. But does that really mean that ganguro is "dead?"

I dont think Ganguro is dead... its just altered.. evolved as you say. Kinda like the evolution theory... people were susposed to have evolved from apes, but we arent called apes were called humans.
Anyways, some may say their completely different me on the other hand would say it isnt dead its just found a new way to...survive through the crazy wanton streets of the j-fashion scene. biggrin

i agree, probably altered all categories of gyaru are know to be extremely trendy so the styles probably change alot!
