So, I was watching VH1 yesterday and they were playing a marathon-like thing of the top 100 one hit wonders. Man some of those songs were like...really oldschool and just really made me miss the 90s. lol

Anyways, I was wondering what some of your favorite one hit wonders are/were...

As for me, I'm rather fond of Haddaway's What is Love? and that one I'm Too Sexy song (can't remember who sings it) whee

I'm with kitty on this one. Refering to the 90s as oldschool makes me feel old.

Really? Well...I mean 80s stuff is oldschool too...so, is 70s...I mean...in my mind, if it's over a decade old then it can be considered oldschool *shrug*

Anyways, regardless of what is or is not oldschool surely everyone has a fondness for a one hit wonder and can share it here...yes?

I think oldschool usually extends to a longer amount of time 'ago' the older you get ^.^; I think it probably has to do with a "percentage" of your own life span. 3nodding So when you're 50, 10 years ago wont seem like such a long time ^.^;

OK... one hit wonders... let's see... OK... "I'm too sexy"... I like that one...

I'm too Sexy - Right Said Fred

Thar you go Ala.

I see where you come from though, where 90's could be considered old school, but I think of more 60-80ish more old school in terms of music, unless you're talking about hip hop, then definately early 90s.

EDIT: If you want some people that kick it old school, try THIS and THIS (Warning:Strong Language)

I have DJ Jazzy Jess and the Fresh Prince's "Parents just don't understand" vinyl single from what?... 88 or 89? Can you believe they were still making vinyl records back then ? >.>;

They still make vinyl records. Just not in the same quantity as before.

Rulin' ya universes...

Vinyl is pretty nice though, aesthetically, that is. And the covers have lotsa space for pretty pictures... And if one stops working, you can turn it into a fruitbowl! xD

Yeah, but I don't count the ones they come out with now. They just produce them now to try and be retro >.>; Not because most people have record players.
