Fates: Gods of the Traditional Era (the RP)

Updates:
The RP is officially OPEN! If you would like to join, just PM Kamrynn Onasi.

- May, 6: We reached page 10! Yay for small fonts, rambling texts and natural page-stretching! ^_~ As punishment a reward, I have taken the liberty upon myself to spiff-out the front page a bit. Enjoy!

+ + +

Notes from the Author:
This RP is for expert role players, or people willing to try hard. I created Fates as an idea for a novel, so I'd like everything to be as precise as possible. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask via PM or OOC format. ^_^

+ + +

Rules:
1. Follow the storyline PLEASE.
2. I. Am. GOD. This is my story and I took a long time to dream up every last detail. Break the rules too many times, and you will be booted from the RP (or even the guild). Follow them, and you shall be rewarded with a digital cookie full of pixelated goodness. ^_^
3. Human characters can have no more than three powers, and even still, they must be minor. No earthquakes that devastate cities, no giant tsunamis, no hurricanes, tornadoes, or bomb-like destruction. NO! Leave that to the Firenze.
4. This is partly a romance RP, but PLEASE keep it PG13! Fail to do so, and you will be warned. Continue to break this rule and you will be expelled from this role play.
5. Just to be clear, none of the higher up Royal Firenze are on the humans side, so not a single human will be courted by them. Not now, not ever. This is not to say that a human cannot fall in love with a royal who is not a part of the rebellion. I'm only saying that no one is going to get married to the second or third in command or so, destroy the ones in the way, and mary-sue their way to the throne. That is not how it goes. Shut up.
6. That being said, NO MARY-SUE-ERY!!!! (The exclamation points mean I'm serious!)

User ImagePlot
Fates
Genre: Love Story/Pre-Apocolyptic
(This is a bit long, so I'll give you the short version. I plan to write a book about it someday. ^_^)

A handful of survivors from the destruction of the planet Faerei split off fromt he rest of the group and came to Earth in search of refuge for the royal family traveling with them. The natives of the blue planet admired them for their beauty and power, and eventually each became confused for Gods. The Gods of mythology were based on them. The Firenze, as their true names were, are not immortal, but have extremely long lifespans (thousands of years). Their powers are a blend of physical science and mystery. It has been shown in the past that they are able to bond to another being so that when they or the other dies, the one remaining follows. The Royal family is quite large to this day due to extended lifespan and breeding (some to those other survivors of their kind from across the stars, some to each other, and in the most shunned case in a mixed marriage between a Firenze and another humanoid creature). They tend to look down on humans (whom they call mortals), but it is not unusual for a Firenze to fall in love with a mortal, despite the fact that they occasionally use them for food. This is said to only lead to heartbreak in the end, as humans do not live long without an exception.

This is the story of a war breaking out between biased Pure Royals and the mixed firenze who were shunned at birth and humans. It is also one of love, as the most rebellious of the royal family come of age, and for the first time in so long, look down from their pedestals onto the mortals below and smile.

Setting: Modern Day Earth

Character Types:

Firenze
The Firenze are an alien species who have an overall similar anatomy and appearance to humans. Most of the Firenze that settled on Earth are members of the Royal family. The others are their servants. They have extremely long lifespans (can live for thousands of years) and most are seen as gorgeous, almost ethereal. They had been worshipped as Gods by the ancient civilizations when they first came to Earth for their beauty, grace, power, and statue. Most Firenze look down upon any other creature and have a vain and spoiled disposition. There are a few that have risen above this and realized that all life is precious. In an effort to protect it, they formed a society of rebels, notably called "The Royal Guild of Mercy". All types of creatures are allowed to join, though they need to know one of the members to get in.

There are three types of Firenze. The first branch relates to pure-blooded beautiful royals and servants. The second is composed of pure blooded Firenze who happen to have an unpleasant appearance (usually those of the legendary monsters and serpents), known as Monsters.

(facts)
- All can at least switch their height accordingly. On average they can come up to 60 feet tall.
- Everyone, aside from servants (which incorporate both Firenze and Mortals) are able to learn the techniques involved in practicing their powers.
- Most have the names derived from Greek origin, as they were the first people they came across, but some spread out as they had gotten to Earth, meaning any name is possible.
- Their bodies go through a cycle at least once a month where their bodies need human blood for nourishment (ie an ancient human sacrifice). However, they do not really need to kill anyone to get it (Kamrynn either offers her own, to Orion's reluctance, or more commonly, goes to the blood bank). This could also be supplemented with basic vitamins. Some change their appearance during this time (some monstrous, some gorgeous).
- The Royal family has expanded to nearly every Firenze on or near Earth, so they are not uncommon.
-Firenze royals have large families, many having many children from multiple engagements.
- On the throne right now is Rhea, Orion's (and many other Royal's) grandmother. The "reason" for the war is overpopulation of "impure" royals and Firenze. She does not like humans, but does not plan to destroy them. Instead, at the end of the war she will try to enslave and breed them for the meals of the "pure" royals.
- The battle is silently fought, only occurring in a battlefield in some remote part of the world. The worlds governments are aware of this, but hide it from the public.
- A Royal Firenze who is half "Monster" would still count as a "pure-blood".

Humans (aka Mortals)
Seen as weak and undeveloped. Most of the rebel Firenze care for and love them as if the were children. They are referred to as "Mortals", due to their short life spans. Only a handful know about the impending war between the "Gods", and very few are equipped to help without proper teaching. A mortal is highly likely to fall in love with a Firenze, the opposite goes for the Firenze. The reason for this is that mortals are attracted to either beauty, power, money, or all of the above. It is not unheard of that a human will love a Firenze for other reasons, however.

Monsters
Are Firenze that chose to change their appearance permanantly into an often grotesque classification. They are considered "pure-blooded" and sometimes wedded with Royals to inherit the bloodline. Lately they have become secluded, choosing to remain neutral in the war. Whomever wins them over, if any, would have a greater chance to win the war.

"Impure" Firenze
The offspring of one Firenze and one human. These demi-god-like beings sprung forth once the Firenze had first come to Earth and fell in love with a few of the locals. This population grew and grew in secret until they had formed an army. They are greatly feared by the "Pure-blooded" Royal Firenze, as they represent a "weakness" in the bloodline and outright traitors to their kind.

Characters

Player: Kamrynn Onasi
Name: Kamrynn (Brandi) Onasi
Age: 17
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Skills/Powers: Kamrynn has learned how to heal at a rapid rate by focusing on her body cells. She usually closes her eyes when she tries this due to her phobia of blood. She can also create something called burst portals, which consist of creating an energy ball, hurling it at a wall or flat area, and where it lands it creates a portal. You create another near you, and you can instantly transport yourself to the opposite area using the burst portal. She is a skilled martial-artist and specializes in pressure point weakness. Her weapon of choice is a long steel rod that can be used as a blunt object. It is collapsible.
Picture: Cute Artist, Profile Explanation
Likes: Art, Camping, Martial Arts, Cooking
Dislikes: Blood, Injections, the thought of being eaten
About: A mild-natured brunette with an artistic side. She has pale brown hair in the shape of two wings when looking at it from the back. She has a partial bang that is swept to the right side of her face. Her skin has an olive tone from being outdoors and has a sprinkling of freckles across he nose. Her eyes are dark gray and are sometimes covered in glasses because of her slight nearsightedness, or nothing at all. She has a short stature which she is very self-conscious. Many people consider her intelligent, though uptight. When she first saw Orion, it was not the day on the bridge. She had often applied for a job at the museum by her dorm, but the first time she explored it, she was enticed by the statue of a beautiful God-like youth. She would stop by just before classes to talk to it, not really knowing that the statue was a living being. She was simply drawn to it. When both the Firenze and herself met face to face, she was too stunned to recognize him at first. She is slightly bookish, and a little bit too logical. Sometimes she forgets to have fun, and Orion helps her relax and enjoy life more. She is drawn to him, but tends to act more shyly toward their relationship. She has a slightly low self-esteem which sometimes exerts itself into treating others like they are on a higher level than herself. She has a phobia of blood and injections, and often shudders, faints, or hyperventilates when exposed to it. Because of this, she uses a type of martial arts that does not focus on cutting the body, and instead hits pressure-points on their body to injure or immobilize them. Regardless of what she seems more equipped to like, she loves the outdoors and often goes camping, and also enjoys cooking for her friends. She also likes martial arts (as specified before) and is a bit of a tomboy. She eats a plant-based diet, and was the first one to introduce it to Orion. It is easier to anger her than Orion. Whenever around him, she develops a kind of pathological blushing which the Firenze finds somewhat entertaining.
Text Color: Gray

Player: Kamrynn Onasi
Name: Orion Sinclaire
Age: Unknown (At least over 10,000 years old. He is in the Firenze equivalent of his early twenties, though looks quite young.)
Species: Pure-Blood Royal Firenze
Gender: Male
Skills/Powers: Shapeshifting, control over water and air, healing and transporting
Picture: Pure Beauty, Royal Blood, a bit Spacey, Human Appearance
Likes: Sweets, human food (mainly plant-based), fine wine and liquor, archery, learning about world cultures, humans, white roses
Dislikes: Monarchists (slightly ironic, but true), cruel people, self-absorbed Royals, being all alone
About: Orion Sinclaire, the famed Archer of Greek Mythology. He sports blond waves of hair that fall to his shoulders and bangs cut just above his eyes. His eyes are cerulean colored (not quite light-blue, not quite navy) and he stands out a bit due to his tall height. Orion loves Earth food and has admittedly gained a bit of weight because of this. His demeanor is kind, caring, patient, and on the paternal side, though he cries easily. Being sheltered his entire life due to his sickly status, he is often envious of his brother who "abandoned" his family to travel the world. Because of his illness, he has only been able to train his abilities to focus on defensive techniques and more significantly, shape shifting. He has even been known to change his gender or race if need be, but nearly always stays in a mortal form, only switching to his full Firenze height to conduct business within the council. He has the tendency to cling to other people due to his loneliness. His family's overprotectiveness and foreboding him to not touch those from the "outside" once drove him into madness from being alone. Although the views of most of his relatives make his blood boil, he keeps assuring himself that he loves them and must continue doing such as they only want what's best. He is fond of Kamrynn Onasi, intrigued by her seemingly alien culture and habits. He has admitted that he has feelings for her, though occasionally becomes frustrated by Kamrynn's uptight nature and the fact that she remains insistent on referring to him in a formal fashion. Thou this is the case, her quirks are highly amusing to him and a part of him is guilt-ridden for wishing she would loosen up, as it would not be as humorous. His physical body is weakened due to his condition and he is an archer of fairly moderate skill, archery requiring less strength than swinging a sword. He is intelligent, though naive, and often trusts his partner when it comes to street-smarts. He is facinated by humans and due to his programming considers it a "guilty pleasure" to spend time with them.
Text Color: Cerulean Blue

Player: Kamrynn Onasi
Name: Dionysus Vivaldi
Age: Unknown (it is a fact that he is marginally younger than Orion)
Species: Half- Blood (Royal) Firenze
Gender: Male
Skills/Powers: Dionysus’ powers are a mystery to most. He has been known to cause earthquakes, so it is assumed that he can create massive shock waves. Unlike a pure-blood, he cannot change his shape past his size. He has been shown to be a master apothecary, mixing potions and slipping them into peoples drinks in order to play tricks on them. He has done this to Kamrynn and Orion before, once drugging Kamrynn with a “love potion” to make Orion angry with her for trying to take advantage of him. He has also slipped a growth serum into Orion’s tea so that he would transform back to his original size and form. Needless to say, it ruined the house...
Picture: *sigh*
Likes: Orion, Beauty, Power, Money, Wine and fine drinks
Dislikes: The weak, incompetent, or anyone who does not share Royal status
About: Orion's half brother. It is uncanny how alike the two look, but how different they turned out to be. While Orion is kind and sensitive, Dionysus is selfish and spiteful. He enjoys torturing Kamrynn and eating meat in front of her, often commenting on it's flavor and texture. Though Orion deeply dislikes him for this, he still can't help but accept him as a part of his family. As cruel as Dionysus might seem, he would never do anything to hurt his half-brother Orion (his other siblings are another story), including deliberately trying to injure his love, Kamrynn. Not many people know that he is half human himself, and it's very cleverly disguised by his attitude and his power and stature. It was because of this fact that he was forced to flee from the Royal Earth Kingdom and live on Earth. He has had many mortal loves that have come and gone through the years (most couldn't stand him after a few months, though). because of the extent of his jealousy toward Kamrynn, it is thought that he secretly loves Orion.
Text Color: Green

Player: Kamrynn Onasi
Name: Hermaphroditus (Herma) Veena
Age: Unknown (it is a fact, however, that he is relatively young, around his late teens)
Sex(es): Hermaphrodite (chooses a Male gender)
Species: Pure-Blood Royal Firenze
Skills/Powers: Hermaphroditus has several skills involving fire aura manipulation and light energy. He prefers healing skills to offensive or defensive moves. Being caught in his aura has a calming effect and warms the individual to the effect that a mother would have on her child. He can also use this ability to push two lovers in the correct direction, but only if the love is genuine. Although not as well know, due to it's usual lack of usage, Hermaphroditus is quite gifted at curses, once cursing a spring after being spotted and ridiculed that those who would enter would become like him.
Picture: A Lovely Glow
Likes: Kamrynn, kind feelings, hot springs, and tiger lily flowers
Dislikes: Being ridiculed, not being there for the ones he loves
About: An odd boy, who is actually a hermaphrodite. Hermaphroditus, or "Herma" for short (sometimes also referred to as Aphroditus), has a very kind and supportive demeanor. He is very beautiful, and has been courted by those of both genders (although he prefers to live as a man and likes women over men). He is a trusted and very good friend to Kamrynn, and still carries a bit of love for her, even though she gently rejected him. His skin is a gorgeous mocha color, and his hair a wild reddish-orange tint, slightly curled and usually tied to the back with a black ribbon. He will sometimes wear a bright colored lily in it. His eyes are a deep red color, similar to the other Gods of Love (Aphrodite's other children, his siblings) and often look concerned or connected. He is fairly young for a Firenze, but looks as if he's in his late teens. He is one of Orion's many cousins.
Text Color: Red

Player: Kamrynn Onasi
Name: (the) Xetrov
Age: Countless eons of loneliness.
Species: Unknown (thought to be an ancestor of Firenze Monsters)
Gender: Male (sometimes referred to as "it", however)
Skills/Powers: (Shapeshifting, Telepathy, Calming, Gluttony, & Dimensional Travel) The Xetrov has the ability shape shift, often ripping his body apart into other dimensions and places altogether, allowing him to cover more ground. He can change his size like most Firenze, even when his body is not whole. His stomach acid can digest just about anything, a trait apparently longed for by members of his kind. Another trait is the ability to emit pheromones on command in order to calm his prey to make them easier to catch. All of the Xetrov's kind live in and can pass through dimensions with ease. He can sense what is in one's head and gather basic information if he so wishes (which he usually does). Because of this and his shape shifting, he has developed a unique skill: to take on the ghostly guise of the person one holds most dear. There have been tales of lonely mourners seeing the image of their dead loved one, only to follow them and never be seen or heard from again. It is most likely that these creatures are the cause of their disappearance, having eaten them. It is often thought of as cruel, however the Xetrov believes his relatives in these tales are quite kind to offer hope to the person before they die.
Picture: Never wanted to be a Monster...
Likes: Food (to him is anything that can be digested), Being commended on his beauty, the company of others, All You Can Eat Buffets, Singing
Dislikes: Indigestion, eating potential companions (the root of his loneliness)
About: The Xetrov (it's name a corruption of the word 'vortex') is a creature that lives on several dimensional planes at once who is known for his uncontrollable appetite. It is speculated that there were more of them at one point, but their hunger grew to such a rate that they resorted to eating each other until only one was left. It was sure that anyone who was caught up in this plane would also be eaten by the Xetrov, leading him to a life of infinite loneliness. He began to convince himself that he was doing a favor to the "poor dears" that became his meals and continued to live with this as his only means of socialization. He is referred to the the Firenze as extremely dangerous due to his "lack of conscience" (though that really isn't the case). He has trouble adjusting to Earth life, but tries to be sweet by his own definition. He gives his friends constantly changing nicknames after foods he's tasted. The Xetrov is quite beautiful and strange in true appearance. His entire being is colored 100% porcelain-white with the exception of his lips which are seemingly painted a shining black. Even his eyes are white, having black catlike slitted pupils. His nails are long and dagger-like, and his hair is so long it drags on the ground. His teeth are all sharpened to a point, indicating that his kind were mainly carnivorous. He enjoys singing and often makes up his own lyrics, sometimes referring to love, other times to food.

player: i dance on her strings --- Aevia Greenleaf
my name is sweeter: Arty Sanskrit
age: seven.x.a.thousand
species: pure&royal i am --- Firenze
gender: male
abilities: i solemnly swear i am up to no good ---> He easily defies gravity and he can render himself and things he is in contact with invisible. He loves the ocean and can "breathe" under water - he is also a brilliant swimmer. The most personal favourite of his abilities is his power to copy or produce any sound, voice, or piece of music; it can sometimes turn into quite the joke on someone. ---> mischief managed
string of stars: just a boy --- silver hair, green eyes --- i dared to --- fallen from grace --- let her go?
i heart: me, myself, and I, flying, swimming, adventures, mimicking, humans, Phoebe
unwanted: blood (yeah, you can laugh), most of his family, war, death
my story: Named after his mother, Artemis, Arty is a pure blood Firenze prince. He appears 17 and while he is far older, he is young for a Firenze and only in his youth. Like his kind he is handsome but even more so because he has altered his true appearance. His hair is soft and flowing, most often seen a shining silver colour, otherwise a lustrous obsidian and it always falls just above his shoulders. When his hair is silver his eyes are a beautiful green, when his hair is dark his eyes are a light blue. The latter style is his true appearance, but he feels it not beautiful and can only be found looking like this when he got lazy that month. His hair was a lighter colour when he was young but it has darkened with age. His skin is fair and he often is the height of a human, save for when he is around his family. He wears jewellery, often a necklace and sometimes earrings, typically to show-off his status or just because he thinks them pretty.
Arty is narcissistic but his pure-blood prince-like characteristics end there. He is mature, only chooses not to act so at most times. He often speaks with a soft, serene voice even when he is angry and he is a very passionate and compassionate being. He does not care if one is impure or human, but he is smart enough to keep this to himself for the time-being. He spends most of his time on the ground, amusingly watching the humans live. His only true sibling (for he has many half-siblings), Anastasia, worries about him constantly mingling with humans because of the war; nevertheless she helps him keep it a secret. He can pull this off only because of the war and most of the royal family is distracted anyway. He is just a young prince to them and not bothered with much. He is too young to remember his true home.
The prince loves fun and adventure, which explains his constant exploring on earth. He does what he pleases when he can help it which sometimes causes trouble. To this point he has avoided the war; he is not a pacifist but doesn't want to get involved anyway because the only side he could truly fight for would be the "impure" and humans. This would show his true colours to his family and he knows that would mean big, possibly deadly trouble for him, so he just doesn't go there. He solely uses the blood bank (which disgusts him) and doesn't dare harm a human. He has gotten in fights with his many many siblings and other relatives though. His weapon of choice is a long blade with a silver hilt but he's more likely to use his abilities unless the fight is serious. He easily defies gravity and he can render himself invisible. He loves the ocean and can "breathe" under water - he is also a brilliant swimmer. The most personal favourite of his abilities is his power to copy or produce any sound, voice, or piece of music; it can sometimes turn into quite the joke on someone.
What confuses Arty is a human's lifespan. He thinks it absolutely dreadful their short lives, for he lives everyday as if it was his last when he knows he has thousands of years ahead of him. He has recently come upon a young human girl, Phoebe, who entrances him and he watches over her constantly.

~simple and clean//* She has immense beauty for a human with long, wavy mahogany hair, piercing green eyes, and fair skin. She lives a life unaware of the Firenze but she knows the mythology and thinks of it only as a collection of stories. She would never guess who are what they were actually based off of besides one's imagination. This is mainly because she lives a sheltered life. Pheobe was born into an upper-class family and she has a younger brother Alexander, or Alex. Her father has ties to the government and is highly aware of the Firenze, but makes them unknown to his family. He is a man who holds himself with a certain respect and expects much of his family. Her mother is a lovely woman who cares dearly for her children but pushes them too far sometimes. Education is highly stressed for Phoebe and Alex, as is piano lessons and far too many other lessons of some sort. With Phoebe to turn thirteen, her parents press on her the importance of coming of age and she finds herself wanting less and less to grow up. She is quickly tiring of all the social engagements and tight dresses and recitals. She feels suffocated and just wants to escape her life.

Player surprised 0 Frost-Byte 0o
Name: Majere
Age: Unknown
Species: Firenze (Monster?)
Gender: Female
Skills/Powers: Majere has a strong connection with the spirit realm which allows her sense the presence of souls whether living or dead. Over the past hundred if not thousand years, Majere has developed the ability to summon creatures of darkness; she has perfected this skill enough to transfer their characteristics onto herself.
Picture:[x]
Likes: Silence, Tranquility, Justice, Honorable People
Dislikes: Ignorance, Loud Noises, Injustice, Animals
About: Majere had been born into an ancient society of Firenzes, whose sole purpose in life was to maintain the balance between humans and Firenzes. She had been raised to be a warrior and protector of the tribe. Her training started when she was three, where it could be seen that the girl would become one of the best fighters the tribe had ever seen. She could perform spells that summoned up ferocious monsters and deliver blows that would knock out men twice her size, without breaking a sweat.
Her future as a warrior seemed bright, and her parents were prouder then anyone could be. Unfortunately, all great things come to an end and happiness was no exception. During a battle between a neighboring tribe, Majere had been wounded and poisoned. Her tribe healer managed to save her life, but the poison robbed her of her sight.
Now being nothing more then a crippled in the eyes of her people, Majere was forced to leave and fend for herself.
With the lost of her vision and being exiled, Majere grew to be a cold and bitter woman. Yet, it was not in her blood to be defeated by a minor injury. She refused to give in to her impairment. Through years of meditating, Majere strengthened her connection with the spirit world, and in time this allowed her a second sight. She could now sense the presence of those around her and if she concentrated enough in battle, the spirits around her would help her determine her opponent's next move.

Ooc: Okay! Ready to start.

Bic:
It was nearly midnight, or so they thought. The watch had stopped hours ago. The only things seen around them were crushed pedestals and aged ruins built (and destroyed) long ago. The two cloaked figures looked around, one more sharply than the other. "...Oh my..." Said the taller figure in a calm, airy voice. Although this was true, a slight waver pierced his words. His partner turned her head, revealing a crescent shape of her face from beneath the veils. "Your Grace..." She sighed. Given the male's record, he might actually burst into tears. "Don't..."

The taller figure lifted his hood, exposing his head to the starlight. His skin was nearly as pale as the moon, and his golden hair shone in the darkness like the sun. His gorgeous lips curled into a sad little smile as he set his cerulean eyes upon her. His name was Orion Sinclaire, a Royal from the Firenze Earth Kingdom. "Oh...you do not have worry about me, Kamrynn." He leaned forward and gave her a short embrace. The girl coughed, not expecting such close contact. Even the redness of her face could be seen through the cloth. "H-hey...maybe you could give me a little warning before you do that again, okay?" The blond smiled, laughing a bit in his throat. "Alright, but there's no need to be nervous. I don't bite."

"I never said that!" She retaliated, not knowing how to react to her own embarrassment. Another chuckle from the Firenze gave her the cue to calm down. She lifted her own hood, still blushing slightly, something she didn't wish to do in front of Orion. Her skin was more colorful than his, kissed by the sun countless times until she has just as many freckles upon her face. Her eyes were wide orbs of silver that tarted back to and from the Firenze. It was clear that she was wearing contacts to help her see better int he dark. Unlike her partner, however, she was much smaller in stature and only came up to his upper-chest. Her brunette hair was cut in various angles to bear a resemblance to wings from the back.

"We should keep looking." She said quietly. "You said it would be here, right?" Orion nodded, smiling as he looked down at her. The events that had proceeded this question seemed to have temporarily cheered him up from the hauntings of his past mistakes. "The bow should be somewhere around here." He answered. "I hid it under the fountain...but it has been so long...so many things have happened to this poor village..." He began sulking again. Kamrynn reached out and touched his shoulder. "...I might not know the whole story, but from what I can gather, none of this was your fault." Orion sighed and gazed into her eyes. "Of course...you are correct about that...but I cannot help but feel like I am, at the very least, partly responsible." He sighed again, this time focusing on the dirt ground. "What do you remember about it? Was there a statue or something to remember it by?" The Firenze rose his head to face the sky, gently laying a finger upon his bottom lip in though. "There was...a plate. I believe it illustrated the Greek Gods, or a branch of my family tree..." Kamrynn smirked. "That's great! We're getting somewhere. Just trust that memory of yours." Orion nodded. "I suppose..."

They headed on in the moonlight, examining each ruin as they passed.

Several hours later, Kamrynn's voice carried across the plain. "Orion! I found something..." The blond rushed over, jumping gracefully over the remains of his favorite city. "Truly?" Kamrynn nodded, holding up a flat rocky stone plate that had a beautiful face carved upon it. This one featured Aphrodite. "Oh! Isn't this His Highness, Hermaphroditus' mother?" She asked, taking another look at it. Orion smiled and nodded. "Yes, it is. Aphrodite was worshiped as a Goddess here in Cyro. She was one of the few that first sympathized with the mortals. Because of that, she was dubbed the Goddess of Love, and her sons and daughters after that, including Hermaphroditus. Their entire family is composed of rebels." He paused, running his fingers over the stone portrait. "I sometimes wish I were that lucky. Maybe if that were the case, the events that took place in my life would have turned out differently..." His smile returned as he looked back at the brunette. "But then I never would have met you, dear Kamrynn. I might not have even knew such a human existed..." The girl blinked, focusing on his warm smile. "With all do respect, Sir...I'm not the only human. I'm sure there are allot more people out there that are better than I am." Orion stared at her. "That could never be true." He said simply, making her face flush red. "No one else would do what you did for me...I know."

"Right then..." He continued after a few too many seconds had passed in silence. "This appears to be a part of the fountain. Where did you find it, now?" The girl snapped out of it, pointing to a patch of dirt a few yards from where they stood. Orion slowly headed towards the area, brushing the side of Kamrynn's face with his fingertips as he went. She didn't know how to react to this, either, but chose to remain quiet. She knew that she would just spoil the moment if she protested. The Firenze boy bent down to examine the area, occasionally digging through the dirt. His eyes lit up and he beckoned her over with a gentle wave of his hand. "Did you find it, Sir?" Kamrynn questioned, bending down next to him. He nodded, grinning. "That wood there, it's a part of a box. I buried it here so I could find it once I came back to Earth. Would you help me dig it up? My abilities do not involve moving dirt..." "Yes. Of course, Your Highness." She said quickly, bowing a little before pushing the dirt away from the area. Orion frowned, digging alongside her. "Please, call me Orion. I find that titles only manage to take away the personal side from relationships. Of course, I will not be angry if you chose not to. It's just, I would be pleased if you referred to my by my name." The Royal's serene expression seemed to coax her into trying it out. "As you wish...Orion." The two smiled at each other once more before pulling the tattered box from the ground. "Thank you, Kami."

"Good. Now we can go back to the estate." The Firenze sighed. "You must be exhausted." Kamrynn shook her head. "Not really. I'm used to this kind of activity outdoors." Orion chuckled as he stood up, creating a void-like portal out of thin air. "Someday, I am quite sure you will be able to do this as well." He commented before they entered, leaving the dead city of Cyro while returning to the Rebel Estate.

The sound of crashing waves resonated throughout and about the Raquel estate even though there were no shores within many miles. A small stone skipped across the pond in response and the water rippled and reflected the setting sun. A young girl took another stone in her hand, and with her other hand she pulled back her long, mahogany locks which the wind had swept in front of her face. She looked out across the pond expecting to see the source of the noise, but she never did. Then she threw the stone just as the waves crashed again.
She had tried to help Alex hear the waves but he never did, even though she could hear them every time she skipped stones. Something set off the sound just for her, a sound she only truly heard on summer holiday. Whether it was her imagination or some strange bird, she did not know, but she came out every evening to skip stones so waves would crash around her.

"Phoebe, supper time!" A boy, even younger than Phoebe herself came around to the back of a beautiful mansion that often felt empty more than not. He had a head full of a darker shade of brown than his sister and it has little wave. His eyes matched his hair in colour and they darted across the backyard to the pond behind it. "Come on - Father said so," the young boy added cleverly, knowing how his older sister reacted to his own orders.

Her brother's words broke her spell of peace. Phoebe sighed and nodded and picked up no more stones. She turned her back on the pond, but not before her green eyes took one more hard look across the pond and pierced through to the heart of a hidden being. "Come on!" her brother repeated and she sighed once more in response. She picked up her pace if only slightly to match the speed she knew was required in the house. The invisible being let out a sigh of disappointment then went about his business.

A girl with red hair, icy blue eyes and a pretty heart-shaped face lurked on the edge of a battlefield. She looked quite out of place in her unique ensemble but she kept herself hidden in the shadows. "If this is the silver lining of the battle..." she whispered to herself in a voice full of sorrow. She wanted to charge in and engulf them all in flames, all the stupid, spoiled, royal brats. But it wasn't that simple - it never was.
When she had once entertained a human with her fire powers he had asked why it wasn't easy for her to end the war. The human didn't understand, the enemy had abilities too - so hers counted for little among her own kind.

Megaera, for that was name, shook her head in disgust and sauntered away from the battlefield a few feet until she came upon edge of a small wood. She circled a few trees then finally found the portal - it wasn't hers, she hadn't learned that trick. But the guardians of the inn were all well practised with it and she felt no current need to figure it out.

The moment she stepped in and out of the portal a young boy with hair red as hers approached her. That's why she had simply picked him up when she found him as an infant in the very forest she had left. She thought he was a human, a baby one, already with a full head of flaming hair. But it was until much later she figured out he was hardly human but one of her own.
"Two more recruits showed up this afternoon - I don't understand how you get the word out, but its gone and worked." He looked and talked like a young boy, this was when Megaera liked him best. "I told you Toby," she started with a wide grin, just about to let herself be cheerful after a hard day. But it was only too soon for then a loud-sounding gong shook the whole floating landmass. The water beneath it rippled for the bottom tip of the landmass scratched the surface of the ocean below. It was one of the lowest Firenze land masses, but it was meant to accommodate humans and even though they had the barrier it was still easier. And even though it was low it was still well hidden with the help of the inn guardians and the outside looked to be nothing more than ruins - a tall ancient building of levels surrounded by forests and small mountains. Inside it was a magnificent castle with areas here and there for every sort of folk - except royal Firenze - and everyone's need were cared to.
Yet now the so-called 'well hidden' Erinye Inn was being penetrated. "Royals!" Toby's eyes had widened and he ran off, shouting orders to every guest, worker, and guardian he passed by. Megaera stole a moment to watch him; she was amused as he changed in motion to a much older boy - the guests and new ones took orders better from one not looking like such a child. And - he did like to practice his abilities whenever an excuse rolled his way.

Megaera soon snapped out of it though and she felt herself flooded with fear. They all did know what to do, but still worried. She ran off to her own position, the front gate. A guardian waved her hand in a circular motion over the gate and a one-way glass appeared for Megaera to look out. She did so and then her face flashed brilliant shades of red. "It's just Arty!!!" She was yelling at the poor guardian who only blushed herself and took a step back then waved both of her arms to open the gate. Another gong of a more pleasant note sounded through the Inn and all beings returned to their doings.

It was really time for him to call it a night and he had no care to return home - no one would miss him there - and while Megaera was always tolerant of him he did not dare intrude on her night, not at the Inn that banned Royals, save for himself because she had met him first to not be a royal... he had left that detail out. When he broke the truth to her she broke her trust with him but still accommodated him time to time for a short time. So after a few more wasted hours on earth, watching the sun disappear, he flew towards another fairly-friendly landmass other than the inn.
Surprisingly he was up for no more adventures that night, on neither island, both of which intrigued him greatly. He just made way for the main estate with a slight detour to enjoy the flight.

He was beautiful for a male, but it was because he was Firenze, and because he altered his true appearance. Arty cared far too much about his looks but no one gave him much gripe over it, so far. His silver hair shined against the rising moon and it flowed gracefully, dancing in front of his shoulders. His gorgeous green eyes glanced below at the patch of greenery and he grinned broadly when he found the castle.

A cloaked figure, hooded, made his last steps, quietly, through the forest and he found himself at the front gate of the castle. He was permitted to enter and he did so, shedding his cloak to reveal a young man. But one was easily deceived by his looks; if they dared to look him in they eye they would find one old and wise and worn. But rarely did one look him in the eye but souls of old and right now he was not searching for respect. He went no further than the entrance and sat against the wall, breathing as if asleep.

"Ah! Master Orion!" One of his servants greeted. "I am glad to see that you are safe. And Young Mistress." Kamrynn knew he was referring to her and nodded sleepily in response.

They had appeared in front of a large mansion. Clouds swirled around the area, masking the starry skies. They were floating on some kind of arial landmass. If you were to look behind the titanic building, you would find that this was merely one of many. All were connected in the center by an even larger castle. They seemed to be made from some ethereal marble-like stone that glowed under the moonlight. From up here, the moon looked much closer, as if you could reach out and touch it with your fingertips. The trio stood in the Rose Garden, Orion's favorite place in his estate (technically outside of it). It was filled with white roses wherever you looked. There were similar gardens for he other royal estates, each dedicated to a particular blossom. Kamrynn often wondered why the Firenze were so enamored with flowers.

"Greetings. Have you been waiting for my return all this time?" Orion waved him off, signaling that he could go if he wished. "Please. Go rest. I can fend for myself." The servant boy bowed before leaving their presence. Kamrynn followed, too exhausted to think straight. It was then that she felt a gentle tug at her arm. "Do you not want to see what is inside?" The Royal Firenze stared with one eyebrow significantly pulled higher in a quizzical expression. Kamrynn instantly became alert again. "Oh. Sure." Orion smiled, still wearing a curious look on his face. He slid back the dirty lid from the box a hint of silver glinted in the moonlight. The shine soon spread as a metalic weapon was pulled from the dusty satin cloth folded inside. It was carved with various artistic swirls and beautiful designs. The bow was long, nearly Kamrynn's height (which didn't say much when compared to her comrade).

"Is that your bow, Your Hi-...I mean, Orion?" The boy paused and stared at her. This made Kamrynn feel squeamish. "I...just...I forgot..." He only blinked in response, making her feel even more out of place, and the awkward silence between the two friends seemed to deepen her paranoia. Just then, the blond burst into laughter. "You are very entertaining, Kamrynn." He chuckled. "I am glad I met you." He placed his hand reassuringly around her shoulders. "However, you should really lighten up. I am not going to bite your head off for such a small detail put out of place." Kamrynn smiled. How could anyone be this kind? No one else she knew would give her a break about anything. Often times, if she was wrong about event he slightest thing, she would be chewed out for it. She gave him a quick hug, and then parted. "Alright. I'll try."

"Good girl."
The boy grinned. "Well, then. Where were we? Ah yes. This bow was hand-crafted for me when I had first come of age. I was not allowed to use sharp arrows as weapons, so it works differently." He demonstrated by holding it out and turning to the side. His elegant fingers plucked the string and gently pulled it back. To the girl's surprise, a white ball of light formed in the center of it, slowly changing shape to resemble an arrow. Orion let go of the string, allowing it to fly into the nearby ground. It pierced the earth and promptly vanished. "See?" Kamrynn was in awe. "What was that? How'd you do that? Why did it disappear?" Orion couldn't help himself but to laugh at this onslaught of questions. "Calm down, calm down. It is too late for such excitement." He paused, trying to catch his breath. "That was a part of my aura, the light that surrounds all things. Nearly every Firenze I know can bend it at their will. Some can shift it to change the mood of another person, some can move around themselves or others it to feel a certain temperature in their bodies. Others are able to bend it. By shifting the light, it will occasionally brighten, giving off a glow. I merely flung it from the bow where it functioned, and would until I decided to stop controlling it. That way, if something were to happen, like if I accidentally aimed it at the wrong person, I could always stop it at the last moment." Kamrynn nodded. "I didn't know you were able to do that..." She yawned. "There are parts of me you will not know until the time is right." He smiled.

"Now, we should get to bed. The sky has grown very dark. Of all people, I would think you would need your rest most." The girl nodded as he gently pushed her toward the entrance. "Yeah. The stars are very pretty, though."

Ooc: We can shift the story to the next day, unless you want to wrap things up on your end.

(((mkay... &the blood bank... where is it? what can you tell me about it?)))

"Sir Jaden! You've been there all night?" A smirk played on the lips of Arty, "For my sister I presume?" The morning was warm and bright and crawled into the estate behind Arty as he entered through the main gate. He wore an elaborate cloak and a hard-to-read grin. Something, although it was more someone, was on his mind and he kept sighing when not chiding Orrick Jaden.
The cloaked figure sitting at the entrance of the main estate pulled back his hood revealing unmanaged dark hair and the most unique indigo eyes. "Please, Brand - in the company of others." Human children had trailed Arty during his walk in the gardens and they were still on his heels. Most of the Firenze were used to it and some of them tolerated it - the children of the rebels were quite fascinated with the Firenze and their powerful abilities. Arty was known to put on shows for them and entertain them when he felt like it. He wasn't much older than them anyway.

Arty ran a hand through his silver hair, "Brand, well don't expect her around any time soon, I am sorry to say. Our father does not let her out of his sight - you know he would not care to lose her to a human," he said with a serene voice. At the moment he was not up to entertaining kids and he didn't look back as they giggled.
"Yet I am safe for the moment because of him, " Brand said pulling himself up. He looked young but tired, although he was neither. "And I am not here for her," there was pain in his voice. "But do you know the latest happenings of the battle? I believe I shall be heading for the Erinye Inn, many recruits are heading there - but not enough."
"Hardly any humans have the slightest inkling the Firenze exist, and many less are aware of the battle or the battles to come." Arty sighed, "I have no idea myself of recent happenings, nor do I have any desire to know of them."

He heard the children - or at least some of them - finally leaving in the other direction and he felt relief but turned his head to make sure it was all of them gone. Satisfied he looked back to Brand. "I saw this girl Brand... well, I've been seeing her," he whispered even though no one else was close by. "She doesn't know... no one in her family does, save for her father. But that's not it... she's beautiful and different from her family. And she likes the sound of the ocean."
"She lives on the coast?" Brand did not seem remotely interested but maybe concerned.
"No," Arty responded slowly, averting his eyes.
"Arty! You're romancing a young innocent human girl in the middle of a war - do you really want her to get involved in this ugly mess. Get your head out of the clouds boy and find your place in this battle. You don't realize how dangerous it is getting," Brand was frowning and made to leave the estate.
"Yes, I suppose I should do something about all this," he replied no where near seriously. "But you need not bother with the walls next time, my estate is always at your disposal. And give Megaera my blessings," He changed the subject with his goodbye and retreated farther into the estate for a breakfast meeting in a dining hall.

"I want to go to the beach - to the ocean." Phoebe was lying in the grass on her back throwing up her brother's ball into the sky and catching it, then throwing it again.
"On summer holiday Phoebe," Alex replied automatically, casting his line again. They were at the edge of their pond on a backyard picnic but were quickly bored and the event had turned into them randomly noting the scenery and saying whatever came to their mind. They had played catch for a while, then Alex got out his fishing pole, which Phoebe despised and she just played catch with herself. Neither cared to retreat into the house for they were not welcome; their mother and father had important company and the children weren't trusted to keep quiet in their nursery.
Neither said anything more for a good few minutes, then Alex got a tug. "The bread worked!" he exclaimed, reeling in his line. Phoebe hadn't let him use worms and she had hoped the bread wouldn't work.
Phoebe rolled her eyes, put down the ball and grabbed the net. A sunny danced at the end of his line and Phoebe caught it in the net. She took it gently in her hand, holding down its fins down, then carefully turned the hook out of its mouth. Before Alex could protest she threw it back into the pond and watched it dart away towards the other end of the pond that went into a little stream that would carry it far away.
"What did you do that for?" Alex asked angrily in a raised voice.
"You had your fun with it, let it have its freedom, its life," she replied pointedly and fell back onto the grass to get back into her throw and catch game.
"Dad would say you're crazy," Alex murmured, also falling into the grass. "Yeah," Phoebe said softly.

BIC||
Rays of sunlight shone from behind the curtains of the inn's bedroom window. Yet, despite the brightness Majere remained oblivious to the oncoming day. Her thoughts were still off in the realm of slumber where she had been happily reunited with her family. The woman stir slightly as a warm wet moisture caressed her skin. Still drowsy with sleep, Majere believed it to be raindrops and mumbled obscenities under her breath. She turned onto her side, ready to fall back to sleep when a young hand grabbed her arm. This caused the girl to bolt upward and out of bed. Within seconds, Majere was in a battle stance, with her claws baring. She about to leap towards the small spirit she sensed upon her bed, when a childish giggle brought her back to her senses.
"Majee, Majee, Majee!..."
The young voice filled with laughter and happiness brought last night's events back into Majere's head...

Within a dark forest engulfed in silence, a young woman stood motionlessly as if she were waiting for something. While she stood there, a soft and gentle breeze whispered its secret to the trees, causing their leaves to rustle in delight.
Ignoring the mischief of nature, the woman stood there with her eyes closed. Her hand rested gently on top of a small dagger in which she hung from her belt. Her breathing was slowed as if she were meditating, and yet the sense of peace was no where to be found. The air was filled with tension, hinting that blood would soon be shed.
Suddenly, as if the forest could no longer hold back the soul that it had been hiding, an ear piercing battle cry filled the air.
A rugid man covered in dirt, soot, and blood ran out from behind the bushes and rushed towards the girl with his sword drawn. Yet, before he could lift up his weapon to strike her down, an small metal object whizzed through the air. In less then a second, it pierced through the thin layer of skin that covered his neck and into the back of his spine.
As soon as it had started, the battle ended. Walking over to the lifeless body, Majere bent down and pulled her dagger out of the man's throat. She made sure to clean the blood off of the blade by wiping it onto the man's shirt before putting it back onto her belt.

She left the body where it laid and turned to leave the forest. With the guidance of the spirits around her, Majere effortless made her way through the forest. Her movements were soft, silent, and graceful. An elegant shadow amidst a land filled with merciless animals. The soft rays of moonlight glimmered upon her skin, as if it were comforting her, guiding her.

The midnight maiden stopped abruptly as she heard a cry for help in the distance. After a moment of contemplating on whether or not she should aid the poor creature in distress, Majere sighed and walked towards the direction of the cries.
Her heart was pounding, a sign that something big was about to happen. Something neither she nor the Three Fates could control. The spirits around her were relentless. Together they brought forth a fury of wind that seemed to urge Majere forward.
"Faster..." they cried, "Faster..."
Majere quickened her step and soon found herself in a quarry. She could hear the thundering sound of rushing water beneath her. Yet mixed within the voices of the water spirits laid a smaller much more fragile voice. Focusing her mind, she could just barely make out the image of a young girl holding onto the root of a tree for dear life. As if it were a game for the river spirit. The water spun around her, its current strong enough to wash the creature away.

Before she knew it, Majere found herself diving into the river. Every voice in her mind told her to leave the child but she had defied them. Instead she followed a voice she normally ignored, her conscience.
"Hold on..." gasped Majere as she struggled against the water spirits. She tried to clear her mind and focus on the spirit of the girl. If she could only reach child before the current pulled her away. Suddenly, her hand caught hold of the girl's shirt. Pulling the child close to her, Majere embraced the girl in a hug. With her legs struggling to keep the two afloat, Majere started to mutter a small spell.

Minutes later, Majere and the girl laid upon the river's shore. The girl was coughing tremendously as she tried to get the water out of her lungs. Majere on the other hand was rather calm. She gazed with emotionless eyes at the river before her. In all of her life, she had never seen such a strange thing. Just as she was about to summon up a sea serpent, the water spirits had settled down and drifted away. It were as if they had wanted Majere to save the girl.
Majere's thoughts were scattered as the girl tugged on her sleeve.
"What is it?" asked the woman roughly. It had been awhile since she had talked to anyone. Her social skills fell a little below average.
"Coral, hungry..." whined the child.
Majere couldn't help but smile at the child's comment. Despite having just gone through a life threatening experience, the kid's main concern has shifted onto her empty stomach. She just couldn't find the strength to leave Coral to face the forest alone. The least she could do was take the child to town.
"We better get going then." said Majere.

Following the strange woman's actions, Coral stood up and grabbed Majere's hand.
"Food!" she cried happily.
As the two turned to leave silence filled the forest once again leaving only the soft laughter of the spirits within.

Retracting her claws, the young woman sneered in disgust and grabbed a towel from the counter near the bed. Wiping her thigh clean from what she realized was not raindrops, Majere muttered,"Stupid kid can't even control her own bladder."

((Ooc: In the rebel base, there is a Blood Bank in the village. Both humans and Firenze inhabit it, though some separate themselves from the other. Humans are encouraged, but not forced to give blood. Rather they get rewarded if they do. The reward is usually some type of trinket or jewelry like an expensive pocketwatch as well as some money. The humans are able to choose what they'd like as a reward from a list. This ensures that the offer is more tempting and that the bank will more likely to be full.

The Royals have their own stash somewhere inside of their estates. Firenze in general are also likely to have alternatives, like a red pill of condensed blood, a tablet or powder they can dissolve in a drink, etc.

They also have a not-so-known deal with the blood banks on Earth. They slip them a pass, like an ID, and they receive just the amount of blood bags that is required on the card. No one knows what this is for, really, aside from the government that run the program, of course.

Edit: Nice one, Ang! Do you want me to put up your profiles or do you want to edit them in there yourself?))

Kamrynn stumbled out of bed. She had slept late again. Perhaps the Firenze would not be upset this time if she were to meet with him as soon as she could? She quickly dressed in a simple pair of jeans and a tee-shirt. Orion often questioned her about why she chose to keep and use her street clothes. The girl only answered by saying it was a part of her culture, which silenced the queries. She did feel a bit out of place, though. She would never look nearly lovely as Orion in his attire while wearing them, but somehow it didn't seem to bother her so much.

She dashed out the carved wooden door from her room and raced down the hall. Orion was by the window, casting his shadow gracefully over the carpet. His hair fell to the floor. It was the time of the New Moon again, where he craved human blood. However, he had always been very gentle to her around this time, probably stemming from his fear that she would react badly to the sight of the crimson liquid. Even so, he was still recognizable in this form. Kamrynn often commented that he looked very elegant, and he did. He wore stunning white garments; a pleated satin shirt covered by a flowing pointed robe of sorts whose skirts opened up in the front like a long jacket exposing a pair of pressed pointed pants. A pair of palace slippers adorned his feet. He looked up and smiled warmly at Kamrynn just before turning back and swallowing a small red pill with a sip of wine. The girl twiched, feeling a slight pulling sensation at the sight of the condensed blood. It wasn't Orion's fault, of course. It was obvious that he tried to be discreet, since he knew very well that she might faint if she saw even this.

He gazed back at her again, this time his brows bent with another worried expression upon his face. "Are you alright?" He asked softly, putting down the wine glass and walking across the room. He gave her a warm embrace, touching her face to his. "You look a bit pale..." Kamrynn's white face soon burned red. She pulled away quickly and coughed. The Firenze stared after her for a while, then started to chuckle. "There is no reason to panic. Now, come. Breakfast will get cold." He turned quietly and sat at the large dining table, picking up his glass again and taking another sip. The palace always carried a lighter colored wine so it wouldn't put any unnecessary stress on the girl. It would help him to relax during stressful times, though he didn't tend to drink in excess. There were, however, a few times when Kamrynn would find him slightly drunk. This was usually only the case if he were at a Royal Gathering (he hated those) or after something immensely terrible had happened.

She followed and sat across from him. The plates had already arrived and had been sitting there about ten minutes. "You must have slept well." The Firenze smiled before taking a bite of his meal. "I did not trouble you so much yesterday that you were still exhausted from the search, did I?" Kamrynn paused. "N-no... I'm fine, Your Highness." Orion nodded, letting this one slide. "Well, then." He continued. "I need to run an errand today in town. Would you like to accompany me? I could use some help with it." "Of course." The girl replied, genuinely smiling. "I'd love to." She went into town often to mingle with the locals. And when she was with Orion, it was more like a date than anything else, although neither admitted it (Orion likely avoided the subject as to not make her nervous about it). "What do you need to get done?"

He smiled. That same warm feeling seemed to intertwine into the air around them. "Well, I need to have the bow restored for starters. And I've taken it upon myself to do the grocery shopping. There is more, but I am afraid I cannot think of it right now. There is also the Bank...but I can handle that by myself." He added worriedly. Kamrynn knew he was referring to the Blood Bank in town. She nodded unenthusiastically. "It's fine. I'll come. It doesn't bother me so much if it's packaged..." Orion sighed. "Very well. I suppose you can come, then. As long as you wish to..." His expression reflected his both happiness and concern. "Like I said before, we have much to do, not those tasks alone. I do not doubt that you can handle it, but..." His voice trailed off as he stood from the table. "Now, you should get ready. I will meet back up with you shortly. The garden should be a sufficient place. Alright?" The girl nodded, quickly finishing what was on her plate. Orion smiled. "Then it is agreed. Please, take care."

((love your charra Ang!))

After his breakfast meeting Arty had flown home. He was feeling tired because he was putting off what needed to be done - Clio would understand though, and he felt inclined to alert her of Brand's well-being.
He lurked in the shadows until he came to her bed chambers; Arty wasn't up for a conversation with his father, or a reminder Arty could not ignore with the lust of his silver hair fading and his outward jaded appearance.

Clio was by her bedroom window, painting flowers. Flowers were one of her favourite things, as was painting. What else was a girl to do locked away? Her flowers had a certain depth unmatched and there was always a pretty background to the flowers, more often than not an abstract of some design, each unique.
A fair light shone through the window and reflected off of Clio's light hair and her dark green eyes surveyed the canvas. At the sound of footsteps she turned her head to see Arty. "Morning Arty," her voice was quiet and distant.

"Brand is well Clio," Arty started awkwardly. Clio turned back to her painting.
"Father's heading to the battle this evening with his army, please keep Brand away," she replied, not looking him in the eye.
"When one can keep the sun from shining on a cloudless day," he snapped too quickly and looked down.

Clio said nothing in reply for a moment, then she realized why he was here. "Oh Arty, not this again... come on, you must!" She got up and picked up a goblet from her window sill.
Arty looked up quickly, "no, I'd rather not." He noticed the goblet, "I think I'll be leaving."
"Arty..." Clio set it back down sighing sadly for her brother, although there was more to pity over herself.
Arty made way back to The Royal Guild of Mercy for a stroll in the garden to put it off just a moment longer.

News of the new army had reached the ears of the Guardians of the Erinye Inn and everything was chaos. The tavern level was full of customers and the above ground levels were also hard at work. One of the only empty rooms was the Grand Hall; there was nothing to celebrate about at the moment and it had been empty for years. The Dining Hall was full as always, and the rooms, but it was the bathhouse on the seventh level of the castle that was the busiest and the healers were set to work like mad on the third and fourth levels. A wave of Firenze and human soldiers, mercenaries, and the alike had retreated after a brutal attack and they had to prepare for the new army.

Toby was stuck entertaining the young children with his tricks, and Megaera was dealing with some unwanted guests.

"No royals! How'd you even get past the guardians?" Megaera looked over the guests and saw the guardians at work transporting people to the grounds in front of the Inn. She was steaming mad and not up for this.
The couple shouted in protest and finally Meg directed them to the tavern stairs, she'd have them kicked out soon enough.
Then she pushed through the crowd waiting to get in trying to find one of the guardians, which she succeeded in doing ten minutes later.
"Master Marston, take the gate and filter them to the tavern, healing rooms, bathhouse, or the rooms. The garden upon request only, and royals are sent to the tavern, now where is Master Ignatius?" He nodded and pushed her in direction; soon she found Ignatius.
"The battlefield, please," her voice was strained. He nodded and a portal appeared - the two disappeared through it.

Megaera felt immediate relief from all the yells, screams, requests, and complaints, but her eyes got no such relief. She was back at the edge of the battlefield. Bodies littered the ground, those who hadn't escaped soon enough to the inn. But an eerie peace settled on this end of the battlefield, it was too quiet.
Meg shuddered, Ignatius took a few step forwards to survey the damage. "It's hopeless," he muttered. "The humans involved - they stand no chance."
Megaera collapsed on the forest floor and looked out with weepy eyes. "Someone needs to do something... someone like Arty. He's a royal and up there, he has more power than he realized - if he only manipulated it" she whispered. Ignatius snorted, he knew Arty too well. He wanted to have nothing to do with the war.
"Well - there has to be someone out there who can stop this. I know there is - just haven't met them yet."
Ignatius nodded and another portal appeared. They had a lot of work to do.

"Are you insane?" Alexander watched his sister pack a bag with a few of her clothes, sandals, and then some more wood-friendly clothes and shows she had found in the attic. "Or just foolish?"
"Both I suppose," Phoebe replied with a sigh. "I'll need some food too. A couple loaves of bread should do." She made for the door and peered down the stairs, watching for anyone, listening for anything.
"You're mad!" Alex whined, not understanding his sister's plan.
"No - I'll go mad at the recital tomorrow," she snapped back, running across the hall into the nursery's kitchen. She packed a few loaves and smiled grimly at Alex. "You'll die," was his only reply.
Phoebe nodded, "just don't tell mother or father, or Naomi." She was their nurse.
She scurried down the stairs; Alex followed. Luck must have been on her side that day for she ran into neither mother or father, nor Naomi or Blake, their Newfoundland dog. When she had reached the back porch Alex was still tailing her. "At least let me come!" he pleaded.
Phoebe shook her head. She was intelligent enough to know that her actions were hardly sane and she wasn't about to put her brother in the same danger. She just couldn't take it any more: the lessons, the recitals, the suffocating house, the lessons, the social engagements, and the lessons. She loved the forest and maybe she could make some home out of it. She knew it was more likely she'd come crawling home in a few hours, but she liked to believe something magical would happen so that wouldn't be the case.

Arty found himself starring into one of Mercy's fountains in the garden. His hair slowly darkened, his eyes changed too. He only sighed.

((lol, thanks Ang. Me too - I have no idea where any of my characters are going pretty much.))

I can't wait to see what happens to Brand and Clio

"Majee? Did I do wrong?" whimpered Coral as she noticed the woman's anger. She pouted her lips, and clenched the urine soaked sheets beneath her. "Majee?" asked the girl again when the woman wouldn't answer.
Majere sighed and rubbed her temples in an effort to alleviate the headache she faced. After only five minutes of consciousness Coral was already toying with her nerves. What would she do with the child?

"Majee?" cried Coral again. This time her voice was filled with worry as if predicting an oncoming fury from Majere.
Without turning to face the girl on the bed, Majere simply said "I'm going to get something to eat. You can either come with me or stay here. It doesn't matter."

Taking a step forward, Majere silently reminded herself of the number of steps needed to go from the bed to the door. Then once she was in the hallway the woman made a left and began heading towards the direction of the voices downstairs. After years of seeing nothing but darkness, with an occasional haze of spirits, Majere had learned to mix her mind and body together in an effort to survive.
She was halfway down the stairs when a small hand grabbed hers. "Coral gots to go too..." piped the girl happily. The woman didn't seem mad at her. At least she didn't act anything out of the ordinary. Since the few hours she had known Majere, Coral gotten the assumption that the woman was lonely. Why else would she travel alone? Being alone was the worst thing imaginable for a girl like Coral; death would have been a better option.

When Majere didn't withdraw her hand, Coral tightened her grip and pulled on it eagerly to get the woman's attention. "Chicken, no soup..." demanded the girl. She hated soup. It was just too messy and would always burn her tongue. Chicken was the way to go because she could always carry it in her hand while she walked.
Not in a mood to argue with the girl, Majere merely nodded and remained silent.

Following the behavior of bats, Majere used a method of echolocation to maneuver her way out of the inn and into the busy streets.
Emitting a small quantity of her power into the air, Majere measured the time it took before it bounced back to her. This process gave her a second sight which allowed her to determine the shape, size, and distance objects were.
On occasions where her echolocation failed, Majere would simply summon up the thousand eyes of the sacred Argus.
(Reference in the picture I provided for Majere's profile). Of course such a display would arouse attention, which was the last thing Majere wanted.

Finding the pace at which Majere walked to be too slow, Coral pulled the woman forward. "Chicken, chicken, chicken...." sang Coral happily. She had not eaten once today and was eager to fill her empty stomach with food, preferably chicken.

"It might be a bit early." thought Majere silently not wanting to spoil the child's mood. Though she would never admit such a thing, Majere had taken a liking to Coral. The girl reminded her much of herself when she was young or at least she reminded Majere of the girl she wanted to be. Her childhood had not been an easy one, or a happy one for that matter.

The thought of her childhood reminded Majere of Coral's family. Where had the girl come from? Had she strayed from her parents? Or was she orphaned? The world was a merciless place.

Coral cried out in frustration as Majere stopped and refused to move. "Chicken!" demanded the girl, her temper getting the better of her. She was hungry and she wanted food.
"In a second." said Majere in her calm and collected voice. "Before I get you some chicken I want to ask you something. Coral where are your parents?"
"Parents?" asked Coral. She let go of Majere's hand and stood there for a moment a frown upon her lips as she thought about the word. It was a big word, a strange word, a word she had no definition to. "Parents?" repeated Coral. Majere sighed tried to withhold her frustration. "Your mommy and daddy." she elaborated.
Understanding the word, Coral smiled and eagerly answered "Majee mommy. No daddy..."
Majere shook her head, clearly not wanting to take the role of being a mother. With patience she never knew she had, Majere said gently, "No Coral, I'm not your mommy. Your mommy must miss you very much. Where is she?"
With the stubbornness of a child, Coral replied, "Majee mommy. Coral hungry. Chicken!"
Deciding that the girl would be more corporative once her stomach was filled, Majere took Coral by the hand and said, "Chicken it is, but you better talk once we're done."

The sun was at it's summit as the Firenze exited their final stop, quickly tucking the cooled package out of sight before wandering back out to greet his companion. He said nothing and merely gestured toward the girl and kept walking. Something was not right in his expression, and it hadn't been since the Rebel meeting had ended. She had not entered, too preoccupied with the grocery list Orion had given her as a task to complete in his absence. Was he trying to distract her from something? A gray cloud seemed to hover above him. "Your Highness..." Kamrynn began, concern lacing her words. "Is something wrong? If it's about the blood, you don't have to worry about me. I feel fine." The taller figure suddenly came to a stop. The two did not speak for some time before the royal finally decided to answer.

"Kamrynn..." He began, drifting off again. Something in him decided it was time to change the subject. "How long have you been afraid it? The blood, I mean..." Although she knew it was not his original intention to ask this, she obliged. "Me? As long as I can remember, Sir." He turned his head slightly. "Why?" This question seemed to take her off-guard. "Why? I...don't really know. I just don't like it. Maybe it's because I'm such a klutz?" She added jokingly, although a bit distressed that this did not lift the boy's spirits.

"I see..." He added and continued walking. Kamrynn followed, but her pace grew slower than usual. "Your Highness...Orion...if there's something wrong, you can tell me. I promise I'll do whatever it takes to set it right..." The Firenze paused again, this time turning on his heel to face her. His long hair billowed behind him, the golden rays of the sun dancing on every pale strand. "Kamrynn..." He began again. "There is...nothing you can do." The girl raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" The royal seemed to be on the verge of tears again. Kamrynn rested a hand on his shoulder. "Your Highness..." The wind blew past, embracing the two like the cold clasp of death. "I'm afraid...there will be..." He muttered, placing his hand on top of hers. "I tried... There's nothing..." A single teardrop fell from his eye as he looked into hers.

"A war has been declared...we are to evacuate as soon as possible."

OCC|| Orion sounds so sexy... though I dare not touch. It wouldn't be smart to make Kamrynn mad. xd Seriously all our charries should meet sometime, but the RP just started so I guess it won't be for awhile.

Their quest for a drumstick had been easier then Majere had thought. After passing several shops, she had finally found what Coral had been looking for.
Trading the man a piece of silver for the chicken, Majere bent down and handed it to Coral.
"Will you answer me now?" she asked.
With her mouth stuffed to the brim with food, the girl could only manage to nod her head in reply.
"Good." smiled Majere. She lead them towards the steps of a mansion and sat down. "Now Coral, I'm going to ask you again. Where is your..."
Before she could finish her sentence a strong burst of wind erupted from the center of the city. Chaos appeared as stalls filled with merchandise were knocked down and blown into the air. Merchants chased after their wares while mothers hurriedly embraced their children in order to protect them from the flying objects.

Coral dropped her drumstick and screamed in terror as a giant barrel was lifted off the ground and sent flying towards the two. Yet, it didn't get within two feet before Majere shot up and sliced it into a dozen pieces with her claws. Unwilling to be defeated so easily, the wind lifted several other objects into the air. It a miniature whirlwind, it shot the items towards Majere.

Left towards the chair, right towards the box, left, right, center. As if she were preforming a graceful dance, Majere moved from side to side to knock the objects away. There seemed to be no end to the objects that were thrown towards the woman. Yet as her claws sliced through the last object, a wheelbarrow filled with hay, the wind suddenly stopped. As quickly as it has appeared, it vanished.

Now that she was out of danger, Coral ran towards Majere and clung to her leg. Tears streamed down her face though they were not from fear; she was mourning for her unfinished meal. A valuable chicken gone to waste.
"Majee?" gasped the child between breaths of air."Majee?"

Oblivious of the young girl clinging to her leg, Majere focused her attention elsewhere. In all of the years that she had been alive, she had only face one man who could control the wind in such a way.

The tall smoky figure of a spirit she saw in the sky confirmed her assumption. "Aren't you a bit old for such trivial games?"
The figure remained in the sky for several seconds before disappearing in a burst of air. Reappearing next to Majere, the silver haired man replied,
"Still that bitter old witch, I see."
