I don't know. Thats a hard question. Hahahaha. I can see him doing it, but at the same time I can't.
So far Johnny's performance of Sweeney is the best Sweeney I've seen...but thats just my oppinion.

Yeah, it was awesome but then again we have never seen Jon Stewart as Sweeney so we can't really compare. 3nodding

Yea, but I just don't think he could pull it off. Johnny set a new standard for Sweeney and I just don't think anyone can match it.
Just like with his Jack Sparrow...no one can replace him in that.

I've seen both as well. XD I've seen the one with Angela Lasbury. ^_^ But so far Johnny has been my favorite Sweeney. Just the way he plays the emotion and sings. I mean yes he's not the greatest singer, but he can capture the emotion in his voice not to mention his movements. Mainly because he studies silent films.

I would just be laughing the whole time cause i would be overwhelmed by the fact that Jon Stewart was playing a demonic barber..
Thats like casting Jack Black in Fiddler on the Roof. Sorry but, WEIRD! and not to mention, random.

Yea, I don't think anyone can top Johnny's performance of Sweeney. So far he's done the best and I've seen both movie and broadway. ^_^

The other day I watched Epiphany with the original cast ( 3 cheers for Youtube ) and I'm sorry but I hated it. Mrs. Lovett creped me out and Sweeney didn't sound all that good. I can see why It wasn't a big hit in London the first go around.
