It's a fairly easy song for guitar, right?
Well, I've been playing it for the past hour, and my extremely small baby finger is ruining the sound. It's at least half an inch shorter than it should be so when I play with it... well it's kind of hard to explain, so I'll use an example.
Here's the problem in layman's terms:

It's killing the whole song, and I'm seriously depressed about it all. cry

Aww, don't worry, you'll get it eventually. Just keep practicing the stretch, and your baby finger will limber up and stop ******** it up. Also of note, "Closer To The Heart" was played on a 12-string, so you may not be able to totally capture the same sound, though I don't see much of a difference when I play it on a 6. rolleyes
I'm sure you'll do Alex proud. ^_^
