It seems I have been invited to this guild... well, I'm not one to pass up a free offer, so here I am.

I am given to assume that someone saw the results of one of my occasional forays into the Writer's Forum, or possibly my Gothic RP... or went through the CAA looking for members. Either way, I'm here now, so nyeh. XP

Yes, I am a writer. Fictional prose, in specific, usually with a fantasy or speculative twist. After experimenting, I've found that there is only one thing I will not base my work on: my actual life. I mean, come on, people. I'm a seventeen years old, incredibly introverted with very few friends and no romance in my life at all; is there anything more boring I could possibly base it on? So, in short, I always write about other characters, my lovely, messed-up little characters.

Oh, and there are a lot of them. I did a count some time last year, and got 215 individual characters who I could name and describe off the top of my head. Some are more developed than others, of course - you probably want to remember the names Shigure Kako, Ike Kako, Yvon D'Aubigne, Azrael For Anarky, Moose Skall, Gerwyn Pony, Tim John Crane, Gerard Damián and Sphinx. With these characters come plots and stories, being these:

Red Dog - a scifi comedy in many parts, inspired by Red Dwarf and Futurama
The Red Matineé - the story of a man who lost his dream, the demon who promised him justice, and the carnage that followed, all on the backdrop of a theatre in a fantasy pseudo-London. Inspired by The Phantom of the Opera, Faust, Sweeney Todd, Jack the Ripper, Jekyll and Hyde, CATS and many more
Foxglove - an ongoing, sweeping drama of kitsune (don't run yet! They're not the weeaboo sort! I do research!) in England, encompassing love stories, revenge, tragedy and magic
Tim John Crane: Supernatural Supersleuth - a light-hearted story about a young paranormal investigator, the titular character, who accidentally becomes far more involved in the supernatural than he wanted to
The Creative Writing Unit Folio Piece - which is at the moment a murder story about characters brought to life from their old fictions, and the ethics surrounding this - Hyde was not impressed, to cut it short.
Moose - teenaged drama of young bisexual Mortimer 'Moose' Skall, and the many things which eventually drove this benevolent boy to suicide

And about three more which are relatively obscure and not really mattering at the moment.

Oh! I'm Australian, a first-year at university, and have just started writing The Red Matineé, which I hope to get published someday and be the next J.K. Rowling. Slim chance, but a girl can dream. There's a first time for everything, ne?

As for other literature and texts that I like, let me have a look around my computer here... this is where I keep all my favorite stuff, you see, so that I can pick it up at any time.

The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Other Stories, R.L. Stevenson

Thank you for the welcome!

I realised at one stage that perhaps I had too many characters, and thought, "I wonder exactly how many there are?" And the answer was 215, although it's more like ...two hundred... and... *counts* ...twenty..... three, now.

One word, "Eep."

Onomatopoeia, it still counts as a word.

No, that's ok... I believe you. I wouldn't have time to look at it for a while anyways because of school stuff.
