My Avi name is King Progdor, mostly because my passion is Progressive music. I would've taken Progdor, but someone took that, so I had to settle for King Progdor instead.

I'm 19 years old, and I live out in the country of the northeastern New England State, Maine. This is cool, because all of Rush's remasters are done in Portland, by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering. I'm a 45-minute drive from that area. blaugh

I play drums, on and off. I don't have a drum set, but if I did, I'd be playing on a daily basis. My two favourite drummers of all time are Ingo Schwichtenberg of Helloween and, of course, Neil Peart of Rush.

If I could meet any Rush member, it would be Neal. While Geddy and Alex are the life of the party, Neil seems to be the quiet, sort of stoic one. Yeah, he's 'militant about his privacy' as the special edition of Guitar Legends brought out, but that's a good thing. He doesn't like living in the limelight. Oh yeah, and I love his drumwork. heart

I don't really compose, but I do write spoof lyrics. I'm a wise guy, so writing spoof lyrics is something that I enjoy doing. My quest thread has a spoof of the Judas Priest song 'Painkiller,' for example. When you get some spare time, you should check it out. biggrin

Welcome to the guild King. I tried my hand at drums when I was in Middle School, but it didn't go anywhere, then my daughter decided she wanted to learn, so we bought her a drum set for Christmas one year. That drum set is now collecting dust and taking up space in the one coat closet we have in our new house. She never did teach herself to play and we couldn't afford lessons for her. Want to buy a cheap drum set? It would probably cost more to ship it to you then it would to go buy one yourself though.

I'm saving up to buy a drum set. I'm going to buy a simple one, then keep buying parts for it. Basically, I'm going to build my own. 3nodding

Hello King. I'm flattered that I am one of your favorite drummers of all time. Your first kit is always a joyous thing to behold. I wish you luck getting it. So, you're in Maine. Next time we're there recording, I'll have to look you up.
