I have only played Blue and Silver so far. (Yup. I know. I'm way behind, but hey, I have no money.)

So far, I have found that I much prefer the original 150 pokemon. They just seem more tough-out to me.

As for my favorite team:
Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Haunter, Mewtwo, Persian, and Moltres

Favorite Pokemon: Easily Articuno, have you ever seen the vicious eyes on that creature in the movies? That is one vicious bird I tell you. Plus just for fun I like to make sure my opponent doesn't have Thunder. Then cast Toxic and spam the move Fly. smile
Favorite Move: Ice Beam, I'm a skill master when it comes to that game. My preferences for skills are as following. Make sure every one of you pokemon has one of the following. Status moves such as sleep or a tech move such as Fly. Then to balance your Pokemon team out make sure the rest of your attacks are of a different element. And make sure whatever elements that creature is are chosen. For example Arcanine is a fire type that has stats equal if not greater to the legendary Entei. So you should make sure this creature has a fire type move like Fire Blast or Flamethrower. I personally go for the more accurate attacks myself but it is up to you. Second, make sure you have the same elemented attack trained to another one of your creatures. This way if you need a particular elemented attack you will not be just out that element by loosing one Pokemon. When you are finished building your team up with there tms and skills. Which usually happens around level 60 you will be ready to destroy other players. One last note and this is critical DO NOT set your party up with more than three flying types. Also every creature you do have should be of a different element.

At least i can say try to have one pokemon of metal, one dragon and least one psychic, one metal they are the best pokemon with defense and resistance dragon they can use a lot of attacks and they aren´t vulnerable to most attacks and least one psychic is for speed and attack try to have a Alakazam or Gardevoir they are the best and excells in Sp. Attack.

I like the pokémon games, but I liked it better when there were only 150 pokémon, instead of more than 300...! Gold and Silver was okay too, those were good games...

Actually if you want to go Sp you can't get any better than a Grass type. The problem with grass types though are the moves that they can learn. Except for Solar Beam which takes two turns. You can't get over 60 in attack for there skills. Of coarse you could use Sunny Day on another character then spam the move. But for a 120 attack move Solar Beam really doesn't seem to be as strong as it says. Psychic types are rather strong because of there versatility in elements and there speed. Mewtwo has moderately high hp and high speed the rest of its stats are rather low. As for defense Ice types compete with steel types rather well. In terms on stopping power for battling players try out Raikai and Tyranitar. Both can be found in the Silver, Gold and Crystal block. Raikai is the ONLY creature to ever take out three of my party members. I still won that match but that is besides the point. Also I killed two level 100 Mewtwos back to back with Tyranitar. It is a force to be reckoned with against Psychic types.
