Chris's place of work. A fairly large library on Gaia that has many books and tomes and whatnot. Perfect place for a bard.

There are two stories to the library, and a small place near where books can be checked out to purchase some books on sale.
On the first story there is an art gallery as some shows are held there, and a lot of the research material like newspapers, magazines and such can be found here. There are even a few computers here, primarily used for research.

On the second story it is divided into the children's section and the adult section. The children section is where Chris typically works, helping the kids find the books they are looking for or performing or reading for the kids. She also helps put books back on the shelves. There are two computers that kids can check onto for a half hour to forty five minutes at a time to play kid games or search the internet. (Chris avoids them as she knows nothing about computers)
New shelves were recently put into some parts of the kids section, and there are art projects done in activities in the library hanging around, making it look welcoming and comfortable. There are plenty of chairs and beanbag chairs as well.

The adult section contains plenty of reading materials for anyone looking for it. There's a small section of computers for adults to surf the internet and do other things, and less parental controls exist on these computers. Its also near the back of this area you find the video, DVD and CD rentals. Kids videos and other movies alike can be found here (though nothing adult adult). There are comfortable chairs throughout this section of the library as well as a study area in a corner for students, meant for quiet and privacy.

The library has a few rules:
Quiet is more enforced in the adult section than the kids section.
Make sure to have your library card on hand when you go to check out books.
Any of the librarians can help you find your books.

The library is open from 8am to 9pm on school days, summer its hours are reduced to 10am - 7pm
Library is not open on holidays.
(Course, this time is all relative, but its not 24 hour)

Zensekai entered the library, he was rather bored and wanted something to read. He had no idea where he should start at, there seemed to be alot of books around. He had disguised himself as a human tourist, but he still looked rather odd.
There were all these strange decimal things on the racks, he wondered if it was some secret code like in the movies about Indiana Jones he had watched the night before. He rather hoped not however. Zensekai roamed around, turning while looking up all all the areas, he figured he'd find a human to ask about what to read.

"Excuse me M'lord," a soft voice said. "Is there something I may help you find?" Once the man turned around he'd see a young woman who seemed most at home amidst the books, looking no older than 23, perhaps younger because of her outward appearance and childlike demeanor. "If you're looking for something in particular, I can help you find whatever it is you need...this is one of the largest libraries on Gaia..."

"Something exciting to read? I'm rather bored, I don't know anything to really request." Zen shrugged, he figured the lord comment was due to his coat, no one stood out more around here. "Thanks! How're you?" He stood up straight, trying to be polite.

"Do you like romantic literature, action and adventure, horror stories? Do you have any favorites? I could suggest a few, but it would be more helpful if I knew what you were looking for M'lord," she said with a smile and a bow. "And I'm great, better than great, I feel wonderful." She laughed and twirled around. "My name is Chris, Chris Talespinner m'lord."

M'lord and M'lady was just how she referred to people she didn't know. She was raised to be as polite as possible. It was just how she functioned.

There was a lot of new books coming in today, which meant some of the older books would be moved around, some thrown out. Chris saw this as an opportunity to expand her small library in her apartment so she would take any of the interesting books they were thinking of getting rid of. Old novels and the like would be put into a box for her to take when she was done with work. She was much better today than she had been this week and books made her feel happy. She was glad that the books came in today and not yesterday. She wouldn't have been around yesterday.

Today was a new day indeed. Chris had been at work bright and early, excited over the fact the sugar bowl she had gotten was starting to change into something warm and cute. She actually had two of them that she'd managed to get on Gaia, but one had just turned into a shawl...and she didn't have much use for that at the current time. The other one seemed more spirit like and flew around her excitedly.

She thought it was the arcane energies she held within her that released while she sang was the thing that drew things to her, all sorts of things, good and bad it seemed. She had a sweet smelling aura around her all day at work, some of the children unintentionally following her once in a while, it was quite cute other than the fact she had to help them find their parents when she realized they were following her.

Today was a decent day, the library usually was quite busy on Fridays, and as it was raining, even more so because people wanted to be indoors. If only the weather were better, she might be able to have readings under the trees on the days she read to the kids. And sang to on occasion. She'd sing stories and random songs she'd make up off the top of her head. The bard was learning to be a better bard, and she was well known around the library now as a bard, and everyone loved to hear her sing.

Cressida walked into the library and was amazed at the wall to wall of books that reached so high, that she got dizzy looking at them. It took her a few seconds for the dizziness to subside, then she begin to search for books that will help inspire her for the projects she is working on. Cressida notice two people who where talking among each other by the front desk. She quietly tip toe around them trying not to interrupt their conversation.

"Uh M'lady?" a soft voice asked. "Can I help you find anything?"
