As of late, the Steampunk fashion has become my new obsession. This style mixes Victorian-era clothing with a sort of futuristic twist. Industrial-Neo-Victorian. Think Airship pirates, Victorian trash, and lots of bronze, copper, top hats, cyberdreds, and goggles. 3nodding I believe there is a very informative thread in the Gaia Forums- Fashion and Style.
So far there are only two "true" Steampunk banda I know of, which are Abney Park and Vernian Process, since this is such a new genre.
Does anyone else know of or have interest in this style?

I've heard of it before. Thought it was pretty interesting. But me personally, I'm more...... I don't know what it's called...... I like Victorian style architecture and clothing, I like hanging out in cemeteries and such, and I'm rather fond of things like coffins, bones, and such. Creepy little kid.

But yeah. I'm getting off topic. There's a game out, Dark Cloud 2, which is greatly influenced by the Steampunk fashion. The main character's weapon is even a wrench.

...... And I really like that guitar. 3nodding

I found a wonderful podcast for the us punkers recently called the clockwork cabaret.

Also, if your into the film aspect of steampunk you should check out The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello

Its woderfully filmed and has the most beautiful flying device I have ever seen in it.

Well, i know the genre since years (as a roleplayer it's something unavoidable) and was REALY waiting for real Steampunk-Rockbands to show up.
And well, yes...i'm one of the people who love it but can't pull it off :/

I quite love it but have no interest in wearing it. I'm comfortable in my trashy goth n' roll style. There are a lot of websites popping up in the style and a few guilds here on Gaia try those out!

The man with the dreads is from Abney Park. And I've had Airship Pirate stuck in my head all day, so I've been shopping around for Steampunk clothes. Good stuff is hard to find because most people seem to make all of theirs.
I'm really getting interested in the style tho. It has replaced Visual Kei.
