Let he who has eyes to see

World distorted, the song has begun
a sparrow is worth two coins
Am I worth none?

To produce the good fruit
you must have a good tree
a seed in the thorns
I think that is me

I am a lost sheep
doubt has led astray
The path I choose
is running away

I built a nice home
on a foundation of clay
Lord help me now
its giving way.

Hello Willow, I am sorry it took me a week to see your poem. I am so used to there being nothing in this forum that I neglected to look for something.

Your poem strikes straight like a dagger right to the heart of all doubt. These are timeless questions and thoughts that everyone can relate to, but you have worded them in such a heartfelt manner. "Am I worth none?" Who has not asked that question at some point in their life?

Each stanza (Biblical parable) is crafted beautifully.
