Rain, rain rain. I hate the rain. Sometimes it never seems to stop. I hate that. My name Is Riaku Nu-.... I'll go into my last name later. It doesn't really matter just yet. Well, I'll tell you what I can at least. I've been running around Japan for the last four years, I'm thirteen years old, and currently have no home, parents, friends, or sibilings. It really doesn't matter to me all that much. I have a place to stay for the time being, but I have no idea how long that'll last. Life is hard for me. But, I figure I should enjoy it while it lasts. Honestly, some of you think 'I wish life were simpler' but you never thought the fact that, If life were simpler, there'd never be a challenge. But, enough of that constent rambling I seem to be doing a lot. Heres my story, One I hope you'll like. It's about my life, leading up to today. How I met my best friends I could ever have and the best life ever. Of corse, you could be thinking right now "Oh, great, another cheesy story with romance and gooey stuff." Well, you're wrong. No romance, no gooey stuff. Just hard core cussing, action and big time violence and grudges. Of course, there is a bit of 'mushy' stuff, but not a whole lot, thank god!
Back to the rain. Like I said, I hate the rain. You can't go outside in the rain. It's boring. But, yet I was running low on gory vampire books and candy and some other things I'll explain later. The closest place to go was a little shopping center. All the caisheres were near death and they couldn't even see the amount of money I had given them. Stepping outside was horrible. Rain and wind almost knocked me off my feet. "Great." I mumbled. whipping up the hood of my black, theigh length jacket. I pulled out my iPod and switched it to animal I've become, one of my more louder songs and turned the volume up all the way. Sadly, it wasn't loud enough. I could still hear everyone waling past me. "Hey!" Some one called behind me. "Hey girl! Look out!" I was about to turn around and cuss out whoever was making me miss my song when I was slammed by a car. I felt like a deer caught in head lights! I looked like an idiot! "Ow.." I mumbled, straitening myself up. No broken bones, nothing sprained. Just a small cut on my head was all.
"Hey? Are you all right?" I guy blared in my ear. "Will you please get out of my way?!" I snapped back. He scowled back and yanked my arm as I started to walk away. "You're hurt! You can't just walk away from something like that with a few bumps and bruises! You probably have a mild cuncusion!" I yanked my hand back. After finally getting my eyes wipped clean of rain, I got a good look at his face. First thing that came to mind was, "Wow, this guy's a freak!" He was loud, annoying, and his hair hurt my eyes. He looked like carrot tops long lost brother! "Sorry, but no. I'm fine. And I'm fairly certain that someone like you could help me." I walked away as he stuttered angrily. "F-FINE! YOU BRAT!" I just seemed to be making friends every where I went!
"Hey? Anyone home?" I yelled, wading my way past trash, dirt, muck and grime. "Ugh, some one needs to clean up around here! And I do not mean me!" I climbed up on a shelf and took a random piece of candy I had forgotten to buy and pulled out a vampire mystery. "Hey, Kisuke, you van come out now. You're louder than a frieght train to me." I said emotionlessly, flipping a page in my book. "Okay, okay. Hey, you better pay for that." He snapped, taking the candy from my hand. "I'll pay for it when I become queen of hell!" I snapped back, snatching it back from him. "That shouldn't take long he grumbled under his breath. "Hey! Shut up you hat wearing freak! Just you wait, one day I'll kick your a** from here to the gates of hell!" I yelled back. I flipped another page in my book angrily. After a long pause, he said, "Your head's bleeding." I put the book down and stared back at him. "No, really. I thought it was red paint leaking from my head. Thanks for noticing." He pulled out a bandaid from a drawer. "Touch me and you a dead man!" I hissed.
"Fine, fine whatever. I just thought you might need it." He put it back and started to walk away. "How'd you get the cut anyway?" He asked excitedly. "Hit by a car, then chased by a carrot top. He was loud too. Hard to block him out." Kisuke smiled, then turned and left the room, holding that little fan. Oh how I hate that stupid little fan. "You know him don't you? You wouldn't have that stupid little grin on your face if you know something I don't. Tell me!" I did a fantastic jump kick to the back of his head and would have made the best landing ever if he didn't grab my foot and toss me half way across the room into a pile of junk. "You're an a**." I grumbled at him, going back to stand on my perch. After a bit, I spoke up, not even looking at him. "How many soul reapers can you feel in this town, not counting yourself or me." He paused for a second. "Seven." I sighed. "That's what I thought. I can't leave just yet though. Not enough time or money for that. Theres only two things to do. One, I lock myself up here and hide, but that'll get me no where. Two, act like a normal kid." I looked at him finally and sighed again.
"You'd have to do something about your eye." He said, meaning my left eye. It had a red 'tattoo' on it. completly visible no matter what I did. "It wouldn't matter. Even with the mark, I'd still blend in fairly well. I'm good at that. I've been doing it most my entire life. " He nodded in agreement. "Well, it seems tomorrow. I'm going to school." For the first time in my life, I'd be in a class room. For the first time, I wouldn't be looking over my shoulder. I'd be one of the most normal kids there. No matter what the apperence. I would blend in. I wouldn't be hunted.
