Hey I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan and I recently bought Final Fantasy XII and I am loving it. So anyone else have the game and that might want to discuss some of it?

I didnt play XII itself but my friend did and told me the basics. I played Revenant wings which happens like 6 months or a year after the events of XII.

Played it...finished the game and that was pretty much it. Final Fantasy 12 took a bit longer to complete my first time through than most final fantasy games. But after completion there really wasn't much to go back and do.

I've been playing it for a while, i'm trying to complete all the hunts, and i havn't finished off the story yet, but other than that, i don't know if i liked it as much as a few of the others =P i did love the graphics though, although i missed the battle system >.<

The battle system sucks, but then again, I do prefer the time-based system that VII and VIII used, and I did like the turn-based system for X. Oh well, and Revenant Wings is better than XII for the PS2, but only because of that damn battle system, gods, I still want to kill it and I haven't played it for more than 3 months!

btw, how far am i into the game? i am in the part where you have to retrieve that item from the tomb to prove the princess to be royal. that's hard for me, but yet again, i didn't train much. (and why the hell so things there have to cost so much?!? sheesh!)

It turned too...Star War-ishy in the end for me...other than that, I loved the game. I only take into account the challenges of the game and heck! The super mega secret boss Yiazmat is quite possibly the longest secret boss battle in the history of all FF!!! scream Exciting stuff for me indeed. If any of you need any help with the game let me know. I've gone and done all the hunts and secret bosses including Omega. Sure enough I even have all the best weapons in the game too.

I didn't really like FF XII because of the battle system, I liked the battle system of VII, VIII, IX and X, but not this one. It's too... well... Inactive. Which sounds ridiculous because Square-Enix was trying to make it more active... I feel that Final Fantasy means turnbased...

i love the fact that you run around in circles. the melee people try to attack you while their attack bar is full and you run. then, your far ranged allies do all the kills. other than that, i admit that they screwed it up. i initially thought that it was an fps game like halo with and energy sword or a crossbow as a assault rifle. that would be awesome.

(and why the hell so things there have to cost so much?!? sheesh!) You're not that far into the game yet. Story wise i'd say youre around 7-10%. Completion wise your practically nowhere. I didn't mind the battle system all that much. You have to remember that the developers have to keep evolving and changing to keep people interested, and to keep the Final Fantasy franchise alive. All i have left story wise is to get on the ship and beat the main boss. I'm mostly just lvling in the Pharos preparing to finish my last 3 hunts. Also i've gotten this far in the game and haven't gotten a ribbon yet. Theres no way i'm gonna beat a FF game without getting the ribbon. Cant wait to fight Yizamat xd

Cant wait to fight Yizamat xd There's an area in the Henne Mines where you can get unlimited amounts of Ribbons along with extra Zodiac Spears...if you're lucky enough to beat the odds to get there and have some patience. If you would like to know more details just ask.
