The summer of 2008 was indeed a hot one.

Everything changed June 27th of 2008. A meteorite slammed into the surface of our planet and rocked the entire western seaboard. Los Angeles was utterly destroyed by the meteor and enough dust kicked up to put us in darkness for at least 4 months. 2 months after the crash, earthquakes erupted all across the border of California and Nevada. Within a few days, Calirfornia separated from the country and drifted into the Pacific Ocean where it sank.

Millions died.

The meteorite was collected by the US government. It contained an indestructible metal, dubbed vernisteel, that could be replicated and used as armor, weapons, and numerous other things. The United States of America were now officially the police officers of the world.

After the crash, strange things happened to several people all across the world. People were developing strange powers that they couldn't control. Shortly after discovering them, these people were abducted and taken to a secret testing facility in the states.

The facility was a run corporation funded by the government to find out what was causing these....mutations. Some people gained strange powers, some gained mutations to their physical structure which made them stronger than humans, and some gained both. Feto Corp. was the name of the company. It was headed by a man by the name of Garius Feto.

Unbeknownst to the government, many people who were taken to the facility died during the experiments. Dr. Feto was trying to discover how to replicate the gene that was causing the mutations. The experiments he ran killed most of the mutated people, but he was learning.

He began to abduct normal people. The facility expanded far underground. The kidnapped "norms" were taken to the deepest sections of the facility. That's where the experiments took place.

Many died, but many survived with new powers. They were introduced into an atmosphere underground where they interacted with others of their kind. It became all they know and were brainwashed to think there was no outside world. The small city underground became their home. Each person was given a codename or a handle along with their real name. This was to make everyone feel special and unique.

There was one person who had made the successful experiments possible. His name was Cahlis Jones. His abilities were unlike anyone else's. He was given the ability to transform into a fire breathing, bipedal, ten foot tall dragon. He was extremely unstable. Dr. Feto used his make up to make the others. Everyone who lived in city underground had their genes awoken by this man.

But that wasn't enough. Feto gave him more powers. He gave Cahlis the ability to generate sunfire all across his body and to use it as a weapon. He also gave him vernisteel bone-lacing and the ability to turn his hands into lethal weapons by growing short talon-like claws from each fingertip. He was given the codename Dragon.

Cahlis had to be constantly given powerful mood stabilizers. His anger and rage were through the roof. After an explosive incident within Templar City(the name of the underground city), he was forced to be isolated from the others in a different section of the facility. Many of the other citizens of Templar had known Cahlis and had even liked him.

Cahlis was placed within a medical containment tube. Suspended in water that was treated with constant sedatives and stabilizers, he was kept under constant watch. He was strong enough to bring down the entire facility, something Garius had not counted on.

As for the citizens of Templar City, they went back to a normal life. But the words of Cahlis still rang in some people's ears.

"There is a world above this one. A world where a natural sun graces the surface of the planet. There are other cities! Huge expanses of water and billions more people! I've been there....you can go there too."

Welcome to Templar City

Templar City is a very large and bustling city. It is about half the size of manhattan and houses many many people. Everyone that lives there has a special power or more. Since everyone has powers, they are able to carry on everyday life. Go to school, have a job, and live on their own or even with a friend.

Seasons and temperature are maintained by machinery built by Feto Corp.. An artificial sun powered by fusion power and a moon that is also artificial, relays the days and nights. There are also millions of stars that can sometimes not always be seen. A sky is also simulated The city is surrounded by a large body of water that seems to go on forever.

Skyscrapers, stores, two malls, movie theaters, and housing makes up the city. Currency is the US dollar and the ruling body are the scientists that supposedly live on another island very far from your own.

Personality: Very odd and spacey. Many believe Cyrus is not all there or that he simply has ADD. whatever the case, he is still a please to be around and has a delightful sense of humor.
History:Cyrus came from a family of gypsies. He was always the one who would do most of the robbing due to his small frame. He was extraordinarily stealthy but had a tendency to get distracted by shiny objects. This is evident now as well due to his collection of thin chained necklaces he wears.

Description:Cyrus has long black hair and pale blue eyes. He stands only at about 5'7" and looks to only weigh at most, 130 pounds. A very frail looking man, he always noticed even in crowds due to his mismatched clothing that ranges in every color of the rainbow at once along with his collection of jewelry.

Powers:The ability to transform into a 10 foot tall fire-breathing dragon. He can also sprout talons from each fingertip made of an indestructible metal and cover himself in sun fire, flames powered by fusion. the sun fire ability gives him extremely enhanced healing abilities.
Personality:Abrasive, bitter, cold, and uncaring. Cahlis is very nasty to anyone other than those he calls "friends". Even to them he tends to be rather rude. Most people tend to avoid him.
History:Before being abducted, Cahlis was well liked by his peers. He had many friends and was always able to make people feel better with his witty sense of humor. After the crash, he was the only natural mutant that was transferred to Templar city. Every mutant within Templar got their powers from altered genes that were replicated from Cahlis'.After telling many people of the outside world, he was sedated and taken by Feto Corp. to be contained within a medical containment tube.

Personality:Arrogant, snide, and slightly narcissistic. He styles himself a ladies' man and frequents the clubs all around Templar City attempting to gain some sort of record number of phone numbers. Aside from his rather self-centered nature, he's also very charming.
History:Before Templar he was a college student by day and a bartender by night. He was among the most intelligent people in his class and was well on his way to becoming a doctor. Being abducted changed all that.

Description:Aldon is about 6'0" and very attractive with icey blue eyes. He has shoulder length black hair that is usually kept in a ponytail aside from two twin bangs that frame either side of his face. He tends to dress nicer than most, favoring casual suits and trench coats.

Nationality: United Statesian, with most of her family history from France.
Powers: Creating/transferring physical sensations upon making physical contact with someone; creating/transferring emotions/states of mind when in the general vicinity of someone.
Personality: Quiet, contemplative, sarcastic, extremely flirtatious, but generally kind-hearted despite her hardened exterior.
History: Before Templar City, she was a straight-A model student, into things like dance and soccer and shopping. After she forgot all that, however, a completely new person came out, suggesting her former self had been the doing of her parents. She is one of the newer members of Templar - a product of Dr. Feto's experiments.
Job/everyday life: Waitressing/Bartending at a fairly upscale nightclub and lounge. The owner likes to have her around since she puts everyone in a good mood. They haven't had need for a bouncer since she's been there.
