Introduction

Welcome to the RP Section of Albeario. Here we hope to meet all your RPing needs. We have left it open so that users can create and run their own RP. We hope this allows for more interaction then just one Staff run RP.

The following threads will help with running and playing in the RP's. We wish everyone luck and happy RP'ing.

How To Create a RP

1. Choose a name.

2. Start a thread. Person to start a thread, owns the thread and is responsible for those in the thread. You may appoint helpers in your thread.

3. Reserve all posts on the front page. This is optional, but helps to keep things organized. Things to put on the front page (these are suggestions only):

- Rules
- Plot
- Area descriptions
- Character Bios (Pre-made or original) (Please have players PM you their Bios to put in Bio area, it makes it easier for reading and deleting if needed)

4. Find yourself some players

5. RP until your little hearts content

Bi-Lacho - RP School

Welcome to Bi-lacho. The school of learning how to express your story through words. When one can convey their thoughts properly to others, the story comes alive and is enjoyable by all. Simple things you must learn first, and so the lesson begins.

We will begin our first lesson with forum Language:

RP - Role Play (To write in the world and be your character)

SL - Story Line (The story you and the people you post with have created)

IC - In Character (Being the person you have created)

OOC - Out Of Character (Making a statement out of who you play, for informational purposes)

NPC - Non-Playable Character (At times a player will need to bring in a fictional character to help with the SL, this also includes Admin run NPC's)


Pretty simple so far. Moving on. Second lesson, learning how to post properly. When you post please follow the simple rules:

1) All posts must be expressive. You are painting a picture. You want people to be able to see the same scene you see. To help with that, it's usually good to describe at least one thing (ie: an action, something around you, yourself)

2) You want to react to what they have done, and then add something for them to react to. It's what keeps the back and for exchanges going. When you and your SL people are acting and re-acting, not one person is doing all the work, and fun is had by all.

3) Always read over your posts to make sure grammar-wise they make sense. Also check to make sure you are following the SL properly and that you have met all of the rules.

4) Before you hit the submit button, please try to Spell Check. Whether it's by reading or using a word program.

5) After all is said and done and you've hit submit and then it dawns on you something is wrong or missing, please do NOT make another post. At the top of your post on the right-hand side should be "Edit". It will open your post so you can make changes. If for some reason it does not work then you have permission to redo your whole post, post it, put a ((Please delete the above post)) on the bottom, and find Staff to delete your first post. It helps with making everything look smoother.


Final lesson before you post - Learning how to finesse your post to make it easier to read.

1) As stated above, spelling and grammar are very important.

2) No one line posts. Very boring and give other players nothing to work with.

3) Paragraphs. No one wants to read one big long square of a post. You need proper paragraphs so that your readers eyes can take a break, and not lose their place.

4) Proper punctuation. Since there is no voice to express the tones of the story, you must use proper sentence formats. Also helps to describe more.

RP Rules

No God Moving - This basically means you can't be invisible/invincible, so if you get into a fight you can't just say your character wins because they're the best. It's not fair on others when you fight and you definitely can't have an attack that is unstoppable because again it isn't fair! Don't take advantage of other people because you supposedly have the greater power etc.

Don't Power Play - This is when you role-play as a character you don't have the right to role-play as.

Example - If someone reads a post saying their character jumped off a cliff because you made them do it without permission you can get a warning. Make sure that you don't make your fellow RPer do anything that they haven't Ok'ed.

RP Fighting Rules

We do allow fighting in Albearios RP's, but only IC fighting. Please leave OOC drama outside of the forum. Do NOT go around trying to see how many characters across Threads you can beat up. Picking a fight for no reason at all is the same thing in the real world, bullying, and we do not tolerate it. Please follow these simple guidelines.


- Please play within the capabilities of your character. You profile is the key to who you are and what you can do.

- You are allowed to act but not say your opponents reaction. You have to give your opponent the opportunity to fight for themselves, not just get beaten up, unless that is their choice.

- The better you describe your attack, the better your opponent can figure out defense or hit. How you hit, where you hit, what you hit with. Also be descriptive with your defense.

- No one can come away from a fight without a mark, unless they were never attacked. You can defend but only within your capabilities.

- You can use your surroundings, as long as you stick with your surroundings. It's not appropriate to be fighting outside and pick up a chair that wasn't there before.

- Killing a character MUST be discussed by all parties involved. Everyone puts a lot of hard work into their character and that hard work should be respected. If a death is going to occur, please inform the owner of the thread so that no one gets in trouble.

- Killing post NPCs is ok, you create it in your post you are free to do with it whatever you may choose. Trying to kill an Admin NPC, not ok. They are there to keep SLs going.
