my two most recently enjoyed animes are welcome to the nhk, and air. both i think to be very good series worth takeing a look at. before that i very much enjoyed watching, ichigo mashimaro, and higarashi no naku koro ni(when they cry). so if anyone could let me in on any interesting animes to cheack out, id be very thankful.

we watched Welcome to the NHK a couple of semesters ago in the UW Anime Club. I really liked it, except the ending felt a little slapped on. I was expecting more weirdness, and a real conspiracy surrounding the main character. I know the manga is being released here in the US, I'll have to check it out.

indeed. Yet the story was sound, and the ending suited the disarray of the characters. Well if the manga raps things up better, then i may have to read them.

My recent enjoyment was Blood+ on Adult Swim. It's over now but if you ever get a chance to see it, do! The first quarter is slow but after that it really picks up and gets interesting. Oh, and make sure you have a box of tissues handy for this one. Tis a tearjerker in several episodes.

so blood+ has plus has promise? Blood the last Vampire was a very good movie, and even the manga sequal(nearly hentai may i add)was interesting. yet when i sat down and watched an episode of blood+ i was greatly displeased, sia look nothing like her self, and the art style from the olders was greatly changed...i was none to happy with the change,though i suppose if im a fan its only fair that i give it another chance...perhaps the style may grow on me. at preasent thats my only problem with the series. thank u for the rec. i'll watch that after i finish Ergo-Proxy, which may i add, is very interesting, and ive only watched 4 episodes so far.

I gotta say Inuyasha, Naruto, Bleach, Blood+, Yuyu Hakoshow are really good animes in my oppion they rock out loud

I've done well so far staying away from the main stream anime, and simply looking for the off brands. I know everyone has there own taste in anime, yet still...in my opinion that is, all the best anime are those they dont air on adult swim and toonami... As for Naruto, it's ok...I like Hinata alot...and thats the only reason i watch it. Inuyasha...oh...how can i say this...Rumiko! Whats wrong with you! Bleach...well with a main character who's name means strawberry...it may have promise...that is if they finish the damned thing soon...300 some odd episodes and counting. If im going to pay hundreds of dollars to own an anime...im going to buy Galaxy Express 999. Nothing beats a classic. If my view or opinions have bothered anyone, I dont apologize...i've stated more then once that I dont want to talk about main stream anime...because I feel anyone to lazy to take the time to watch anything not aired on cartoon network...isn't really an anime fan. The internet is for more then porn, theres lots of great anime waiting to be discovered. 3nodding

Code Geass is going to be replacing Blood+ on Adult Swim, from what people are saying in the anime club. We watched the first 26 episodes of CG in club this past semester, with the second season coming out in Japan here soon.
The first few episodes kind of reminded me of Death Note with the idealist hero receiving a powerful gift, then using said gift to plot his way to revenge and a realization of his own paradise. This changes somewhat later and you genuinely feel sorry for him.

i recently whatched all of the hack twilght..wish it had followed the manga a ltitle more.....watched tsubasa season one and the movie its awsome but here its very unfaithful to the manga......im a gundam guy...i live for the day that mobile suits are real...also i pride myself on my extensive knowledge and understanding of gundam seed and destiny

mainstream or not i really like gundam wing most of all...its the best gundam series....i also really like when they cry and welcome to the nhk as well its interesting to say the least and well of course ill always like dbz, its classic for me the anime that got me into anime was dbz so....yeah...dragonball/z/gt all are great in my eyes...i also like digimon, people dont understand why but i really like the style...

Is Digimon still on going in Japan? I know there were at least 3 series that came over to the US. I also really enjoyed DBZ, even though most people I talk to cringe when I list it as one of my fav's. I though Mirai Trunks and Android 17 were really cute, and would read fanfics about them. Probably the only bishonen in DBZ, other than Zarbon, of course. I also really like Brolly, just because he was so crazy. The first Brolly movie is the best DBZ movie in my opinion, and the longest. It had the best plot, angain my friends are probably laughing at me for mentioning "DBZ" and "plot" in the same sentence, and the best villain. It was also the only DBZ movie, other than History of Trunks, that made me really kind of empathize with the characters, especially Gohan and Goku.

if you think that you should watch movie 12 :fusion reborn theirs some emotion from vegeta that is rarely seen in dbz, he balls his eyes out and then decides to trust goku enough to do fusion dance with him, for me a vegeta lover...it touched my heart *tear*

Oh! Isn't that the one where Vegeta is dead and Goku has to meet him in the otherworld and fuse with him in order to defeat this weird villain who teleports through dimensions? I think I saw a short video clip of the end where Vegeta kind of smiles sadly and then fades away, because apparently he has to go back to being dead. I really like how the DBZ character design changed in he Majin Buu Saga (larger pupils, sharp edges were rounded, more facial expressions, etc.). It seemed that the colors were more rich, too. Porbably had a bigger budget for that season. I still like the fight on Namek between Goku and Freeza the best, though. Also, doesn't Android 17 show at the end of the Buu saga tp contribute energy to Goku's final attack? I hated what they did to 17 in GT. He'd been redeemed, along with 18. He deserved a better fate than that sad .

well the real 17 had stayed good all along the thing behind that is the 17 that was designed as "hell fighter 17" was purely evil fused with regular 17 to make super 17 and in turn a struggle deep down was taking place, if you watch closely and listen you'll see the real 17 inside him was their trying to be good all along as in the last moments of the fight super 17 let a major opening for an attack, this was due to the good 17's influence on him and goku explains all this to 18 afterward...

I watched a bunch of previews for Spring 2008 and Soul Eater and Bus Gamer seemed pretty interesting to me. Chi's Sweet Home is nice and cute. It's about a kitten who gets adopted when she becomes stranded. The family has to learn how to take care of her. It's from the kitten's point of view to smile .
