The name's ISF, and I'm an addict.
To betta fish, that is. And Werther's Original hard candies, but wrong addiction, wrong guild. Dunno if I can just make a topic introducing myself, but hey, why not?
I currently have four betta fish:
Casanova: My sole male single ray crowntail. Dark red with a bit of a blue wash to it. In one of those 2.5 gallons you can get at Petsmart (for the same price as a ten gallon...ugh)
Cherry: Bright red female. I'm guessing that she's a comb-veiltail, since she only has single split rays in her tail and fringes. I'm considering breeding her and Casanova during the summer, if I can't find a red crowntail at my LFS.
Patriot: Name for her pastel body with red and blue streaks. Seems to be the oldest due to her large tail. I can't tell how many splits are in her rays, but she's got the combtail trait.
Chartreuse: A betta with no color (an opaque?) excluding the few red spots on it. Seems to be a plain old veiltail. I just got her because I wanted a variety of color in my ten gallon. But I think she's the alpha female, since she eats the most food and seems a bit fierce.
If I had a camera, believe me I would have spammed the guild with pics by now.
I'm looking to buy another male rescue as well. Perhaps today or tomorrow.
