Welcome to the Ishbal Desert, home of the Resistance. Blistering heat and harsh conditions await here, making it difficult to travel. The actual base of the Resistance shifts periodically to avoid being located. In addition, the desert is also inhabited by Ishbalans remaining from after the Ishbal Annihilation Campaign. The purpose of the Resistance is simple -- Take down the national military at all costs. Founded by a man scorned by the military, and populated by those with reasons to hate it, the Resistance is a force to be reckoned with. This group was based in Ishbal purposely because it in itself was a nation violated by the Amestrian Military. With plenty of so many Ishbalans to support their cause, it was a perfect choice.

Name: Ookami KurayamiRank: Resistance Leader
Age: 37
Based: Various locations throughout western Ishbal
Background Story: Ookami specializes in medical alchemy, having originally studied for medical purposes. He joined the national army during the Ishbal rebellion after being called in along with other Amestrian doctors. He met and became good friends with Trinity Renee when they were stationed together in Ishbal. When their platoon was killed, Trinity convinced him to help attempt human transmutation and they both paid for it, escaping death only because of the incomplete Philosopher's Stones they had been issued.
Eventually Ookami began to learn about what was going on with the military and the Philosopher's Stones and the Fuhrer ordered that he be killed. He attempted to warn Trinity but was confronted by the Crimson Alchemist before he could make it. Ookami was no match for his opponent, having previously lost his Sage's Stone, and he was nearly killed barely escaping alive. The military marked him as killed in action and gave him an award.
Ookami had used his knowledge of biological alchemy to prevent Kimbley's explosions from damaging him lethally, but was quickly dying of blood loss. In a last desperate attempt to save his own life, he reconstructed his damaged limbs from the bodies of dead Ishbalan rebels. The result was somewhat disturbing, his body was permanently covered in the various transmutation circles he had used to save himself and he gained the ability to quickly transmute his features to impersonate others without the appearance of a normal transmutation. Afterwards, he went into hiding, plotting revenge against those who had ruined his life.
