An excerpt from an essay that i have to write to 'develop my voice' and 'push it through essays' whatever that means. *Note: Frizz is the name given to me by a good friend. Might be explained in a later excerpt.
How it feels to be Frizz I was not born in a log cabin of which I built with my own two hands, nor was I a clone. But neither were you, right? Some people can be scary and mean, others can be odd, random, and downright lovable. I consider myself to be the latter, but others may exclude the lovable part. Everyone has a person who just gets on their nerves. For a lot of people, I am that person. I don’t mind that they may get annoyed to the extent of animosity, but I do mind when they go Godzilla, with the tearing of the limbs and biting of the head. I try to make others laugh; to change their mood. If I can change one person’s mood from horrid to happy, then I will have a semi-good day. If I can make them laugh to the extent that they will turn red and cry, then my day will be like Christmas. So far, Christmas came early once this year. There will be those that view me as a nerd, dork, heck, even a geek. I understand the geek aspect, by why nerd and dork? Sure, I tend to get really riled up about nothing, but I do not see myself as a movie obsessed nerd that runs around in a C-3PO costume mourning the loss of Ben Kenobi. Heck, I laughed when I saw Darth Vader kill him. I was five at the time, but still, I thought it was funny. Just because I have two games on my calculator, it doesn’t mean that I am a geeky nerd. Besides, I know someone who obsesses over his calculator; I think he deserves the odd looks and the title of ‘Geeky Nerd’ more than I.
