Welcome to Academy X
Seven months ago, in the 620 Universe, human and mutant relations seemed to be getting better on the planet Earth. That was until the horrifying events that occurred six months ago. One fateful night, after a long absence from the limelight, Magneto appeared above New York. Finally driven to insanity, he unleashed an attack on New York which killed 2.5 million innocent civilians both human and mutant.
The X-Men, Fantastic Four, Avengers, and any other hero in New York City fought Magneto and his Brotherhood back and stopped them from doing any more damage. This was not the end of the conflict. SHIELD, a United Nations sanctions organization, found Magneto and his Brotherhood to be a threat. When Magneto and his team fled to the Island of Genosha, SHIELD unleashed several Sentinels with a seek and destroy order. The citizens of Genosha would not allow for their leader to be destroyed. Five million mutants died in this conflict as Genosha was scorched and left for rubble. Magneto was presumed dead.
Despite Magneto being presumed dead, the human vs. mutant conflict was escalated to the highest peak. Mutants were hunted. Children were cornered.
It was time for the X-Men to act. For many years, the Xavier Institute served as a home and school for children and teenagers who desired to learn about their abilities and train to be X-Men. No longer. To look impartial, Charles Xavier stepped down as head master of his school and appointed two opposing mutants as headmasters: Scott Summers and Emma Frost.
The Xavier Institute (or "Academy X" as newer students call it) was now open to all students as a safe house. Even if students didn't want to become X-Men or even if they did not share the Xavier view, the Xavier Institute would protect and teach each student equally.
"Academy X" was now open to everybody.
-------------------
What to do on your student's first day at the school:
The school students upon entering are given a counselor and a student squad to train with. Upon meeting with their counselor on day one, they are given their class schedule, communicator device, student ATM card, student hand book, and digital key.
What is the difference between the New Mutants and Hellions:
Technically there is no difference between each team in the school; however, the New Mutants are traditionally the "good guys" who believe in Xavier's ideals. The Hellions are traditionally more rogue/bad boys and fall more into the Magneto/mutant supremacy view. This is not always the case, though. You don't HAVE to make your character take those views when on either of those teams.
New Mutants team colors are Blue and Gold. Hellions are Black and Red.

It was six months ago to the day that the doors of the Xavier Institute opened to almost any mutant who wanted to attend the school. The students have since given it the nickname of "Academy X" because the X-Men were the sole teachers and operators and the X gene that made them all brothers and often times, outsiders. Scott Summers sat in his office looking out the window which overlooked the Xavier Institute gardens. How many years had he looked at them and wondered with all the craziness that the world had why did the gardens look like paradise inside a world of madness?
The gardens weren't tranquil today, though. It was day one of the new semester of courses. Most of the students had the last two weeks off from their studies. Many stayed on campus, many went traveling, and a few got themselves into trouble. Overall, it was Open House and Orientation day. There were no classes, but all students were to get their class schedules. New students were to have a tour of the facilities and meet their classmates and counselors.
The X-Men were no longer just 'super heroes' out to fight the bad guy. They were now teachers, saviors, and many more things to a slew of at least two hundred students who had nowhere else to go but here. That fact alone was okay with Scott. It wasn't that long ago when he, Jean, Bobby, Hank and Warren were those kids.
"Emma, did you finalize your roster for the semester? Any changes?" Scott turned his chair around and looked at Emma (who was standing while all the other teachers with training teams were seated... except Logan, of course. He would never let Emma sit higher than him or have it back to her.)
"There are a few diamonds in the rough coming in that I think I want on my team. Don't worry, I put in my paperwork," She gave Scott a look that reminded him that she was also in charge of the room. He had fought her so long as an enemy, that it was hard to keep up with how he should feel about her. Either way, Emma Frost knew how to teach students. She had taught in her own private school for years even if her motives were sometimes a little suspect.
"Well, then, that's the end of our meeting. Students are arriving now. Make sure you meet with any of your new team members today, please," Scott said to the crowd as they were leaving to set up shop.
He, himself, walked out of his office with his arm wrapped around Jean Grey, his long time girlfriend. They both were going to be working on handing out the new student schedules to everybody while Emma was going to head up talking to new students and giving them their orientations to the school. (All three would be found in the main foyer of the Institute). Other teachers would be giving individual tours of the facility as well.
The gardens was set up for a lunch time buffet. Everything was set up for recreation today. He had hoped things would go off without a hitch. Of course, as X-Men, they knew that wasn't always the way things would be.

Alastair, also known as Aegis, stood in the main foyer. He leaned against the wall, his leg bent so his right foot was braced on the wall. Toned arms were folded over his chest, his body covered by the Hellions uniform he wore. He was waiting for Ms. Frost to arrive, having been given telepathic instructions by his mentor to meet her here.
Looking around, his hazel eyes tok stock of the mutants filtering through the place. None openly tried to approach him, but few gave glances in his direction. He didn't give off a welcoming persona, and that was fine by him. He was here to become stronger, and his position at Team Leader for the Hellions was the latest in steps he has taken to ensure his power.
Ms. Frost had told him she wanted some sort of demonstration for the younger kids, to make them realize that while they may have powers that there were others stronger than them. Alastair was fine with that, but he was unsure as to just what his mentor had planned. He'd find out soon though, he could just tell.

Aaron was sitting in car, watching the scenery around him change. “Tree, tree, car, tree, tree.” He counted off what he saw in his head. He was really excited about his relocation, but he was fairly scared about it as well. He was a young teenager. He was going through that age where everything was changing, but for Aaron, it was more change than most would have to deal with. He was dealing with more than just puberty and his cracking voice. He was dealing with a power, a fairly powerful untapped force of nature within himself.
Above all this he was moving from the small town he had never left, except during football games. He was moving from a small farming town, to a large city. He was excited as he felt he always belonged in a city like area, but he never dreamed he would find the opportunity to do so. But the tornado brought Aaron more than just devastation, with it came the salvation from his cage.
He knew he caused the tornado that had appeared before him, and he knew he was the cause of the random tornadoes that had taken the headlines of most the major headlines. It was plastered on many of the new broadcastings, he had even been interviewed a few times. But no one knew that they were actually talking to the one who caused the wind funnels. But then again, who would suspect it?
Aaron broke from his trance, as the car seemed to pull up to a large driveway. Aaron was thankful he didn’t have to deal with this kind of traffic back home. No he did have to deal with it. This was going to be his home. After a long and hard conversation, both he and his parents decided this would be for the best. His town did not think to highly of mutants at all. He was coming of age, and he would not be able to get a job. He would probably loose his friends, and his powers needed to be tamed. This school seemed to be the best place to do this.
He felt really out of place, as the car drove off leaving him in front of the door in his red flannel shirt, and frizzed blue denim jeans. His boots didn’t help matters either. He knew one of the first things he was going to do, as much as he was disgusted by the thought, was to go shopping. He would not fit in here well at all, decked out in the clothes of a farm hand. He had a little money, that his parents had gave him to get settled in. He had to find a phone and call them right away to let them know that he had arrived and he was okay.
Taking a deep breath, he picked up his suitcase and walked through the doors. He had never seen anything so beautiful and exquisite in his life, except in his text books. He looked around and heard some voices and he soon came upon a few people. A pale skinned blond woman. He thought she looked hot, but then again… he thought she looked scary as well. But everything was scary.
He also noticed a guy with some sort of glasses, and a woman with red hair next to him. He forced a smile to his face, and made his way into the room. “Hello?” He spoke sheepishly, his voicing giving off that ever feared crack of puberty.
After a few moments of awkward exchanges he found out that the man was Scott, the red head was Jean, and the blonde bombshell was Emma. He felt more at ease now that the introductions were over. He was sure that he would see more of them, especially Emma. She had taken a bit of an interest in him, well more so his abilities. She had asked him several questions about them, not that he really had any answers.
Scott had jokingly compared his tornado to the one that blew Dorothy to the land of Oz. Aaron had made this connection as well, but he knew he was dreaming. But the image was in his mind. What Aaron was more fascinated about was the one named Ororo, or Storm as they decided to call her as he was not really able to pick up how to say her name correctly. Evidently she had similar powers as his, and she knew all to well about having to harness ones powers from violent levels.
He had gotten his schedule, and a map, and some other things from Jean and Scott, and then he was given a little tour from Emma after ward. Aaron’s face was bright pink the whole time. He couldn’t really talk, but she did a lot for him. And he was fascinated that she understood him even though he mumbled most everything. Pretty soon he was shown a room where he could drop his bags, and then Emma lead him to where they had set up a lunch buffet.
He wasn’t really hungry but he would eat, out of courtesy if anything. He got a cup of soda, and a few little sandwiches. The smallest sandwiches he had ever seen. He assumed it was what they called finger food. He took a sear and started to eat and drink as Emma left back to join Scott and Jean.

A beat taxi drives up to the Xavier Institute taking a awhile to come to a complete stop. The right back passenger door opens and Ken Sebastian emerges. With a lax motion he walked to the trunk which the Cab driver was so nice to open up without even getting out of the car.
"Nice guy" Ken said to himself as he walked over the the cabby to pay him. After paying the man Ken said to him
"You know, If I didn't know any better I'd think you were afraid of this place." He said half jokingly. While waiting for a reply the cab driver took off leaving Ken alone in front of the school. Ken then shrugged it off of, picked up his things, and headed to foyer. As Ken entered the school grounds he quite a bit of new faces and quite a bit of old faces...as well as many faces he knew he should know but seemed to have forgotten. But such issues weren't as Important as a certain that came to his attention a few day before heading to the Xavier Institute. The fact that Prof. Xavier wasn't the head of the school anymore.
Would that mean that his counseling sessions which he enjoyed so much would cease? Would Professor even be on the school grounds? Moreover, How come he doesn't know the answers to these question even with his powers? As these questions built up inside him his exterior seemed completely unaffected. He entered the Foyer picked up his schedule and headed to the wall and sat against it looking into space lost in thought.

The returning Junior, once associated as Blast, started blankly into the open sky naming off birds, with scientific and local tags, as they went by. While there was not much concern to the process of the day, he felt a little sad that he had not been able to go anywhere during the last few weeks. His Credit card was begging to be used in the child like fashion most teens ignorantly did, spending at a whim of the mind's material "needs" and "wants". Instead, he continued to watch the whiteless, light blue sea and it's inhabitants swim by high above, unconcerned with the creatures below them.
Rajan was sprawled out upon the X Mansion roof, claiming it to be his haven away from his nonexistent social life. However, even here, he could not escape the intense feeling of isolation left behind by his entire family. But again, that did not stray him away from his bird watching. The thing that finally did pull him away the crystal sky above was the sound of his communicator going off, the old yellow one he got his freshmen year. It shined like new in his hands, a testament of his boredom.
Still, that little incessant chirping forced the boy to raise up and glance at what it wanted from him. The truth was, he knew. He opened, only to close it up again.
Standing upright, he hopped off the side of the building, grabbing the drain and wedging his foot between it and the Mansion wall, sliding slowly down to ground level. "Wow, I guess Wolverine does know what he's talking about," he commented out of impulse, unaware he had even said anything or had spoken in monotone. Actually, his entire process seemed to emit a blank filling. Despite the day being so nice and the scenery so cheery, Rajan had grown so accustomed to life at the X Institute that its external beauty had lost all flare.
Rajan continued around to the front where he could see cabs, buses, cars, and the occasional bike roll up. Many faces were the same, many more unfamiliar. This could be an interesting year, he figured as he walked silently into the main Foyer and took his place in line for his class schedule.

*ring* *ring* *ring* *ring* *beep*
"Hello? Mom?" "Hi! It's just me, calling to check up on you. Did you make it to the school sound and safe?" "Yeah, yeah. I'm here. The bus dropped me off about half an hour ago." "Okay, you know how I worry." "Yeah, mom, I do..." "Hmm", she sighed, "Well alright, please try to make some friends this semester. I want you to come home with atleast some stories to tell me all about." "Yes, mom. Make friends, get good grades, be good. What else am I missing? Oh wait, nevermind, I've got underwear. For a second I was about to panic." "Don't get smart with me. Now...be good, I love you." "I love you too." "Mmmbye." "Bye."
*beep click*
Jay flipped his small, black cellphone into his pocket, squished next to his defunctional iPod. The plastic was horrible and would scratch all the time, the screen was cracked somehow and the color is blurred; the lock switch doesn't lock. He turned around from where he was standing at the bus stop. The gates to Xavier's Mansion, School for Gifted Youngsters, slowly opened. A smile crept over his face in joy to be back in a place where he belonged. "Welcome home", he said, hushed to himself.
There were already kids arriving, some pulling up in taxi's or their own cars. Jay would have drove himself, if not for the fact he has yet to earn his drivers lisence. It didn't bother him much, driving always scared him a little bit. He dragged his two old suitcases behind him, keeping a shoebox under his arm and a well sized sack under the other.
Coming up to the giant doors, beautifuly carved oreintal wood, Jay stood for a moment taking it all in. *fwoosh!* Kitty Pryde came phasing through the doors laughing, children came running out after her in a game of tag. They had almost knocked him down. Jay just fixed himself and walked on in, the doors shutting behind him without the large booming slam.
And right then, the single utmost joy Jay had ever had came walking by. "Storm!", Jay yelled from across the grand hallway. He had immediately dropped all his luggage and ran to her. She faced Jay with an even bigger smile and embraced him with a warm, inviting hug. He missed seeing her. Especially the conversation. He felt close with Ororo; she was one the very few friends he had at the school.
"I've missed you since the day I left." "I've missed you too. How've you been?" "Uhh...y'know, the usual." "Overly worried mother you cares about you...a lot?" "Yeah...the usual." Storm laughed a little. "Oh! Here. I grabbed your schedule. You've got Home Studies with me, first class." "Cool." Jay said happily. "I should go unpack in my room." Sure thing. See you at dinner." "Yeah, see ya!"

"Dare," Evelyn said with a glint in her eye that said there was no doubt in her answer and also a hint of daredevil craziness. Of course, both of those attributes were synonymous with Evelyn Reed. Since coming into her own at the Institute, she because the student known for crazy stunts and no fear. Walking into fire, literally, didn't phase her.
Her companion, Siona Stone, wasn't surprised in the least. Both girls seemed to think they were immortal.
"Why do we even call this truth or dare?" Siona said with her Texas drawl and her beauty queen grin.
Evelyn shrugged running her fingers through her burgundy, messy layers of hair. Her eyes scaled the hallway they were standing in. She cold hear somebody coming up through the steps of the Institute doors before the door opened. Waiting for her challenge from Siona, she watched Scott, Emma and Jean leave their posts, "Better give me it now, Scott will have a fit."
"Down the railing, through the doors, double flip and land it on the front lawn. Zero people can be hit and you cannot break the door to get through it," Siona handed her cousin a skateboard with a skeptical look.
Evelyn clicked her tongue, "My friend, you completely underestimate my abilities." The girl jumped up onto the top railing above the foyer with the skateboard in her hands. The now new Senior stood there above everything in a pair of black skater pants and a grey tank top that bore the X-Men X in the center. Her eyes darted around the room and her ears focused in one footsteps inside and out along with voices. It was almost overwhelming, but Ms. Braddock taught her enough to know how to focus it.
"Let's do this," She said jumping from the upper railing to the banister going down the stairs. The skateboard was now under her feet and she road down the railing keeping perfect balance. This was combination mutant skills and gymnast training. She watched as the door opened and closed and it timed perfectly. As she came down off the end of the railing, she flipped the movement of the skateboard as she could land correctly.
"Head's up!" she yelled to halt walking students from getting in her path. She had no abilities to stop people in their tracks. As a student opened the main door, she yelled again, "Hold it open!"
They did. She was right, she had heard Bobby Drake on the outside, "Drake! Hook me up!" He was perfect for this dare. Iceman often partook in her antics and created ice slopes for her skateboard down or to do something else that gained the ire of her teachers. Bobby created a ramp down the middle of the steps with an arch at the end. The wheels hit the ice and slid down a little faster than planned, but that was okay. It was always okay. Improvising was her life.
She hit the arch and it gave her enough air and speed to grab the skateboard from out of under her feet and vault herself into a double flip as if she were dismounting from the balance beam. She landed on both feet and chose not to show a grimace when she felt her ankle pop. Instead she pumped her fist in the air and pointed to Siona.
"I win."
"Lucky b*****d," She put her hand on a hip and waited for Bobby to de-ice the steps after her gave Evelyn two thumbs up.
"Not luck, skill," Evelyn responded. It was a debate between the two. Siona was inherently lucky by mutant skill. Evelyn had worked on her skill for years to try to make things happen for herself. She sat down on a picnic bench to give herself a moment to heal the injury on her ankle. As she adjusted the black band around her wrist, she noticed she had cut her hand on a jagged edge on the board.
Siona tried to see what Evelyn was looking at but the wound had sealed over and was gone just as fast. Her cousin asked, "What was that Evie? Injured?"
"Nah, it was just catsup you saw. Had a big burger for lunch," She answered with a friendly wink with her stomach growling.
Siona rolled her eyes and shook her finger, "You don't fool me, cousin. I know how to read a bluff, and you, my dear, have the poker face of an amateur at the table. Now, I'm done associated with the 'enemy' and I'm going to go find my class schedule. You really should join the Hellions, we have more fun."
"So our teams are enemies now? I don't have a beef with any of you guys, just the questionable motives of your trainer," Evelyn responded and watched her cousin walk inside. Siona usually walked away from her whenever the motives and views of their trainers came up. It was extremely frustrating for the conversation to end that way, but Evie really wasn't in the business of trying to change people. She was in the business of sticking to her own guns and if people followed, they followed.

Alastair frowned at the antics of Evelyn and Siona. Those two were always fooling around. He waited, not moving his position as he watched Siona catch up with her cousin outside. It was only when she was back inside that he pushed himself off of the wall and slowly walked over towards her .
"You really shouldn't spend so much time with the Goody Squad. You know that they'll only get in our way during training." He kept his arms folded over his chest, his hands still free to be of use to him if needed. "You should be spending more time with your own squad Siona."
Alastair then continued past the luck manipulating mutant so that he could retrieve his own class schedule. He pushed his way through the crowd, forcing others to get out of his way rather than going around any groupings. If people were too stupid or soft-minded to get out of the way of their betters, then Alastair would just make them realize their mistake for the future. It was a trait of his that Ms. Frost loved to see in action, and it was something he tried to instill in all of his team mates. The Hellions were better than the New Mutants, and once everyone realized that and accepted it they'd be much happier.

As Rajan stepped up the table to pick up his schedule, he was forced out of the way by Alastair, and in return took his shoulder and forced his way forward again, scooping up his schedule before his squad mate could make his was forward again. He sighed to himself, reiterating that this would be an interesting year. "Geez, the first day and my team leader is already acting like an a**." Rajan turned away and began heading for the door before a scene could be made. Just because he was a Hellion didn't mean he had to agree with what his team members stood for. It just meant he had to do what the guy said on a mission. In his mind, everything worked out.

The stretched Rolls-Royce was so quiet that few people noticed until it stopped at the side of the house, in front of the courtyard that connected with the gardens. A few people actually stopped to watch as the rear passenger door opened and a black, calf-length boot stepped out. The boot belonged to a sharply dressed young boy, who had a keen look in his eye and a slight smile on his face. He shut the car door, the window almost immediately rolling down after. He leaned in on an elbow, exchanging words with the other passenger. After a few moments of conversation, the lad stepped back from the window to allow a white, gloved hand to wave a greeting to someone in the crowd. An observant person would have noticed Emma Frost hold her hand up to return the greeting from the other side of the courtyard. The auto started and slowly pulled back around the circular drive. The boy watched it go for a moment.
“Caston!” The voice called from the building’s entryway. Caston turned and smiled, seeing an old friend. “Lee!” Jubilation Lee had taken a liking to the boy since she met him in his first year at the academy, even though he had never taken a class from her. He gave her a quick hug at the bottom of the steps. “I have to warn you, Lee! I’m a yoga champ now!” “We’ll see about that.” The conversation turned pretty general, and Caston turned most of his attention elsewhere. It was easy for him to carry on a conversation and focus on a million different things at the same time, but then again it was nearly impossible for him to daydream, or not think about anything in particular. A new student of Jubilee’s interrupted the convo, and they started to drift away toward the courtyard. Caston followed them, but parted when they reached the gardens.
“Caston.” The voice called from just behind him, next to a fountain. He knew its owner was blonde, beautiful, and extremely manipulative. And he knew that she knew that he knew that. “Hey, Ms. Frost.” “I see your mother is visiting the states again. Or has she come to hold your hand permanently.” He laughed a bit, knowing full well that Emma only cared about his mother because she donated a crap-load of money to the school every year. “No, she’s just looking for some vacation land.” Silence for a moment. “Here, I decided to officially make myself your advisor. Then you’ll have an excuse when you visit my office so often. Here’s your schedule.” She didn’t need to look around to notice that nobody was paying attention to them. “Alright. But I have a feeling that Jean is going to find out what we’re doing sooner or later. She’s always giving me odd looks.” “Jean couldn’t figure her way out of a paper bag, and she’s always got that constipated look on her face. For all her uses, she’s completely oblivious to anything that isn’t Scott Summers.” “He’ll be suspicious when he finds out that I’ve switched from Forge to you.” “Scott is already suspicious,” Emma said with a smirk. “But I’ll have you switched to the Hellions before he can figure out what we’re up to.”
Their convo continued, and in the midst of it Caston pondered why he had agreed to act as Emma’s spy. He liked Scott and Emma both. Maybe he was too much of a pleaser. The conversation quickly turned casual, and ended shortly thereafter. Someone else caught Emma’s eye, and she went off to somehow manipulate him too.
“Solomon?” Scott’s voice called from the side of the mansion. He was standing alone in the shade. Caston reasoned that Cyclops must have noticed he was speaking with Ms. Frost. He would want to know what they talked about. “I thought you didn’t like those pants, Scott.” Caston raised an eyebrow at the pants he had made Mr. Summers at the end of last year. “They kind of grew on me.” He paused. “Listen. I know you spent a lot of time in Ms. Frost’s office last year, and now I see she’s your advisor this year. I guess I’m just curious why you would drop Forge after working with him in Engineering for so long?” Caston smiled and slapped Scott on the shoulder. “It’s not that hard, Mr. Summers! I mean, I’ve done everything I can with Forge. I can precisely calculate the odds of Alastair surviving one of your eye beams, but I can’t tell you why he thinks he is the best thing since the Gucci sack dress. Or I could tell you how many CC’s of Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid, which should still be legal by the way, it would take to make Rajan ask a girl out on a date. However, I can’t tell you why he doesn’t like talking to her in the first place. The point is, I know everything about computers, calculations, and hard science and nothing about the people who use them!" He trailed off, hoping Scott would get the point. “Alright, Caston, I understand. I just want you to know that you can talk to me about anything. I’m not going to say anything bad about Ms. Frost, but always remember that I’m here to listen. Alright?” The boy nodded. “By the way, your things arrived yesterday, but your Mom forgot to send your butler to put them away. They’re waiting in your room.” Scott winked after his little joke, and took off back to the party. Caston headed into the mansion and started up the stairs to go unpack his stuff.

A dark blue car with dark tinted drove smoothly up the long road leading to the academy. The vehicles passenger sat quietly as she had for the entire trip to the airport, the plane ride to the United States and now this subsequent trip to the academy. Forellen watched the scenery as it passed by her hands lay placidly in her lap. Despite her rather calm appearance she was really quite nervous about going here. She was a very long way from home and she had never really been far from home before.
The academy gates sliding by interrupted her thoughts snapping her to the present. Stifling a yawn she waited for the car to pull smoothly up so the driver could let her out. With another yawn Forellen slipped out of the car. “Merci monsieur.” She said politely as he held the door for her. She was silent as he retrieved her carry on from the trunk of the car. Her parents had sent the rest of her things here ahead of her that way she wasn’t fighting with bags at the airport and then to get them to her room. She paused a moment.
“Can I take that for you ma’am?” The driver asked politely in English.
Forellen took a moment to make sure she understood him correctly. She was still learning English. “No. No thank you.” She said finally with a polite smile. “I can get them. Thank you. You can go now.” As she was sure he had some other people to drive around today. She waited for him to pull away before checking her papers. She noticed that the door was open and there were other people going in as well. So she shouldered her bad and unbuttoned a few snaps off of her coat as she was starting to get a touch warm.
She padded up the stairs and into the building. After a moment of looking around she frowned. This is where her information got a little sketchy. She was supposed to meet her counselor but she wasn’t quite sure who her counselor was. She easily spotted the line of other students that were there to pick up schedules. There had to be one up there for her so she might as well get in line. Maybe it had the name of her counselor on it?

Hoshi Tsukino glared at the bus as it drove off from the bus stop. She should have just taken a taxi from the airport, but had figured this would be cheaper. Naturally, the bus had misplaced most of her luggage somehow and all she had with her was a small duffel. All it had in it was one other outfit and most of her snack foods from the plane, plus a few books and pictures of her family. She was only vaguely aware of the boy on the cell phone who was standing next to her, feeling a sudden attack of butterflies. She took a deep steading breath as the gates of her new home opened. It was a beautiful place, she had to admit. Hoshi slowly wandered up the driveway, trying to absorb everything. Her attention was captured as a girl ran through a closed door, nearly knocking someone over. she was followed by several people. Hoshi and a few other people watched as a girl did a skateboard stunt on some sort of icy path that appeared and disappeared rather suddenly. Hoshi shook her head, amused. So I'm supposed to find Emma Frost, according to this letter. She thought, then wished her parents were here, instead of back home in Colorado. She really missed them, but the twins had gotten a bad case of the flu, so they hadn't been able to come with her, not even to the airport. Of course, there's no picture of this Emma Frost. That'd make it too easy. Hoshi snarked to herself silently. Hoshi then spotted a burly man smoking a cigar under a tree. He was watching the students with a sharp eye, as if looking for something to yell at them about. Hoshi cleared her throat. He turned, acknowledging her. "What?" He barked. Not intimidated, Hoshi smiled at him. "Hello. My name is Tsukino- I mean Hoshi Tsukino. I'm one of the new students, but I'm a bit confused. Do you know Emma Frost? I'm supposed to talk to her." The man took another drag on his cigar, then pointed to her duffel. "That all you bring?" He asked, instead of answering her. Hoshi glared in the general direction of the bus stop. "No. The Baka of a bus driver lost my luggage somehow." She muttered. He snorted, then after putting out his cigar, gestured for her to follow him.

Siona knew better than to let their team "leader" get the better of her. She tipped the top of her hat in his direction as he left and gave a slick little smirk in his direction. As Alastair walked away, she said somewhat audible, "Just because we're Hellions it doesn't mean we can't have any fun."
Chestnut curls bounced with her on her way to pick up her class schedule. She had only been at the school for six months, but she knew the routine well enough. Get the schedule and then do whatever it is you want to do... of course, all of that was after she and her cousin did something they probably weren't supposed to. She was slightly surprised that Scott kept Evelyn the leader of the squad when she was prone to do something he wouldn't look too kindly on. But that was neither here nor there and none of her business. She wasn't team lead, didn't want to be. She just had to deal with Mr. Doom and Gloom on a daily basis.
"Rajan, my friend. How are you today?" She practically skipped towards the door and grabbed her teammate by the arm. Siona was the overly friendly one in the group. She just like people; she just liked life in general. Personal space? She never heard of it.
"Know if we got any new teammates yet today? Would be nice to have a few more faces! Come with me, get something to eat. Do anything fun on spring break? I had the pleasure of cleaning up house in Atlantic City. Mighty lucky of me that they didn't check my drivers license too hard to let me in. I brought everybody back some souvenirs... mostly in the form of hundred dollar bills, but I figured that green matches everything at Academy X as much as it does back home in Texas."
Oh yea, did she mention she liked to talk?

A tall boy with stark white hair slid past the gate of the institute just before the closed. Slinging his black military style large duffel bag back over his shoulder. The scene before him was slightly disorienting to him thanks to all the blatant use of powers but as th same time it really didn't surprise him since this place was a mutant haven. The way the boy was dressed might be unusual to those here at Xavier's but he didn't care. He was wearing black half a shirt with metal across his shoulders acting as the sleeves, leaving his mid section exposed though it only was thanks to it ripping earlier while on his way here. A pair of grey baggy pants held up with a long strip of black strip of leather. A pair of long black fingerless gloves adorned his lower arms and a pair of grey sandals adorned his feet. He was here for two reasons one was to be around the Wolverine to see if he was truly as good as his files would lead him to believe, and two to learn and understand more about the ways of teenagers around his age. Living in a secret evil organization leaves one lacking in the general social skills one would normally learn while growing up.
He smirked as he saw a girl pull of a rather interesting trick using a skateboard assisted by a boy who created a ramp made of ice. He wasn't to sure from this distance but thanks to his heightened senses he was sure he noticed the girls ankle snap. But seeing as she was up and walking again shortly after he was either mistaken or see healed similar to that of the way he does. There were a lot of people walking all around most were kids around his age. A few of them moved out of his way as he walked after noting the stern look on the boys face. Unlike most whom still had eyes that showed the innocence they still had his eyes for one his age showed he had been though more already in his life them most people do in their entire lives.
He continued looking for the adults he knew were the new leaders of this school. He noticed Scott and Emma over talking with a teen figureing he would talk to them later continued searching for the red head that was connected to Mr. Summers. As he continued he noticed Logan leading a girl in the direction of Scott and Emma. 'I am gonna need to talk to him later. I wonder if he will be pissed or shocked?' He thought before deciding he would be a combination of the two. Making his way up the stairs and through the main doors of the mansion he saw the one he was looking for.
"Hello Ms. Grey. My name is Gideon and I came here in hopes of finding a place to stay." He said standing in front of the red head who stood by his estimation about 5'6" which was a good 6" shorter then himself.
Jean eyed the boy curiously. "Well it is up to Scott and Emma if you are allowed to stay here. Being that they are the ones in charge, but I am sure it is okay since they have opened the school to all mutants." She said extending her hand to the boy. "And I take it you know that since you knew my name even though we have never met." Still holding a friendly smile and look upon her face.
Gideon shook the womans hand and smirked when he saw her eyes widen for a brief moment before returning to normal. "I take it you have noticed that I am indeed a mutant now after shaking my hand?" He said after she let go of his hand.
"Yes and I didn't expect to ever meet someone whose hand shake reminded me so much of Logan's." She said thanks to the different feeling of ones hand when the bones were covered in metal. "Please wait here while we wait for Scott or Emma to return to get there decision. You may wait over there in the chair by the stairs." She said gesturing behind her where a pair of arm chairs sat to the left of the main stairs.
He nodded and walked over to taking a seat in the chair while setting his bag in front as he waited for Scott Summers or Emma Frost to re-enter the building.
