I hate waiting, and I find myself forced to do just that for 3 separate things in my life... And it ******** sucks...
What do you do when you're waiting for something very important (or multiple important things, like in my case)? How do you keep your mind off of the wait?

If what I am waiting for won't take long I usually sleep, other wise I usually find a good book or a magazine to read, or just play a video game (RPGs).

In order of priority:
1) Phone Interview for new job, which will determine the following: a) If I move or not b) If I get a substantial increase in pay, which will allow me to: i) Pay off a couple bills ii) Enjoy life a bit more... c) If I can take the trip I want to in the middle of the year 2) Phone call or text message from friend in hospital for cardiac triple bypass surgery, and how he's doing. 3) Phone call or text message from friend in hospital who is undergoing cancer treatment today. 4) Server to be delivered to replace the failed box that hosted my email, website, and half of GameSurge's security services. I have no email right now and it's killing me...
That's about all the important stuff, there's a lot of little things, too... not even worth mentioning considering the above...

Yea, thanks...
If things stay the same with regards to the job, I'm unhappy but they work...
Both my friends are expected to recover, and one of them let me know she's ok - her cancer treatment went well today... Still haven't gotten a message from Kev though...
And no call about work today either... Which means tomorrow or Friday, both days which I'm sleeping during the day because I work in the evening. Yay for no sleep for PhaseBurn.........

Welp, I have a temporary cure now:
Going to work...
Still no call about the job, but Kev's doing well, which is a good thing... So both my friends I've heard from. And I'll be at work for the next 3 days and not thinking about much else. Oh well...

Glad to hear that both of your friends are doing well
I remember a couple of months ago some old radio talk show host was able to treat his cancer using radio transmitter parts he had laying around his garage. Don't know if any big research groups are trying to figure out how Radio waves worked better than radiation.

Radiation is nothing more than high-energy electromagnetic waves, usually gamma...
Radio waves are also on the EM spectrum, just much lower frequency. Microwave ovens are EM, too, just slightly higher energy than radio waves, and look what it can do to your food...
My friend undergoing cancer treatment is actually going through chemotherapy, which isn't done using an EM transciever, but using chemicals which are very toxic to the tumor (as well as the human body, in most cases).
Some cancer responds better to radiation therapy, others respond better to chemotherapy... It depends a lot on what type it is, where it is, and how big it is...

Yea but both are deadly to an extent, but if Radio waves can be uses as a treatment then there will be a safer way to treat it. I lost my great grandpa due to brain tumors, so I know first hand how much it sucks to know someone with Cancer.

Aye... The good news for me right now is that my server will be here tomorrow, both my friends are out of the hospital (one has to go back in, in a couple weeks, but meh), and I got said phone call.
Now I'm waiting on another phone call (supposed to be today) that will determine a lot of things.
I hope this waiting game is over very soon, I don't want to play any more...
