Bumping is used simply to move a thread to the top of the thread list. It gets the thread recognition and fame. A good example of this is the 'BF' thread in Chatterbox. They have the most bumps in all of Gaiaonline with almost 1,000,000. Anyway, happy bumping and I hope that you earn your daily gold here. The following is a rank system (Idea from 'BF' Thread) The numbers represent number of bumps.

Bumper: 1-100
Good Bumper: 100-200
Great Bumper: 200-400
Awesome Bumper: 400-800
Extreme Bumper: 800-1600
LOL Bumper: 1600-3200
OMG Bumper: 3200-6400
WTF Bumper: 12800-26500
Heroic Bumper: 26500-53000
Mythical Bumper: 53000-10600
Gaiaonline Bump Bot: 10600-21200
Golden Bumper: 21200+
