i believe that mythology has great background in weapons and beliefs in fighting so i decided to start this in an attempt to widen peoples perspectives. also if there is any specific type you would like to learn about tell me so i may get information and share it

Did you know that samurai and ninjas are enemies?it looks like Sacred is fighting with himself. n_n

Yea. Samurai worked for the feudal lords at the time who used their power to oppress the commoners. They consisted of farmers and craftsmen. Since the power of the lords came from the samurai who carried out the orders, the people rose up against the samurai. They couldn't do it directly though because the Samurai had strong military might and and resources and would crush any open rebellion. This led people who opposed the samurai to devise tactics of deception, secrecy, and surprise. Also, due to the fact that the commoners did not have the resources to build and supply weapons like the samurai did, they used common tools used in their crafts and made them into weapons. A kunai is a perfect example of this: at first is was a farming tool similar to a trowl, eventually they started sharpening it to make it more leathal, and later on when being a ninja became more of a profession rather than a group of rebels using their own fighting style and tactics, ninja started making kunai similar to what they are today. The scariest thing about ninja were that the samurai had no idea whether or not the people they were policing and possibly harassing on any given day were ninja or just normal craftsmen who were a vital part of economy of their lord's land.

Samurai beleive in honor and a japanese version of chivalry. Before a samurai attack they anounce their attack. Also a samurai either comes from a loyal familey or become heros through some great task. A ninja usess guerrilla tactics and atatcks with out a sound. The ninja were not loyal or heros and were mostly made up of vilagers. Some ninjas were born into a ninja clan and were very good assassins but very few of these ninjas exsist. So when samurai and shinobi collide the shinobi realy dont care but a samurai will do anything they need to, to kill a ninja. Also samurai were suposed to be demon hunters, and the ninja were often considerd oni.
